Travelpro Luggage Crew 9 21-Inch Expandable Suiter Spinner Bag

I travel every week and as an owner of 4 other TravelPro pieces, this is by far the best. I love not having to pull all the weight myself and the ease of walking through airports I am never going back to 2 wheels. The removable suiter worked a lot better than I thought, as it kept my suits and dresses wrinkle-free. This bag is very well made, the handle is sturdy, and it has a lot of handy compartments. I use the front pocket for my liquids and I also bought the matching briefcase, which has a checkpoint friendly laptop compartment; both of these features have cut my security checkpoint time in half.

The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because it is still difficult to push it through thin carpet, which many airports still have. Maybe TravelPro can change the finish on the wheels, or change the size of the wheels? Either way, this is not that big of a deal and it is MUCH better than the alternative. The wheels are sturdy, they can turn any direction, and they easily glide through most surfaces.

I would estimate that I can pack 1 week's worth of clothes at most, and that is traveling very light. I wish this bag was made in 22" but the wheels take it to that 22" carry-on maximum, so it would be impossible for a bigger bag to fit in overhead compartments.

Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and I think it was a good investment. My arms no longer hurt from lugging around a laptop bag and a 2-wheeled carry-on on long travel days. I get compliments on this luggage all the time, which speaks to how nice it is because people almost never say anything about your luggage. I was also very happy that I returned the titamium color and purchased the black one. The titanium colored bag is NOT EVEN CLOSE to the color that is on Amazon's image. I thought the titanium would be a dark, charcoal color, but when I received it it was much lighter gray. I didn't keep the lighter one because I travel too much and it would probably be visibly dirty after a few trips. If you are a frequent traveler I would also recommend purchasing the Crew 9 briefcase. It has many compartments, its very comfortable to carry, it has a strap in the back to attach to your luggage, and as I mentioned, it's checkpoint friendly.

I spent a lot of time finding a replacement for my two wheeled 22inch roller. I travel 3-5 days at a time and carry 1-2 suits in the bag. I considered a rolling garment, and many others. The Crew 9 spinner is truly unique (spinner with a suiter!)but would it actually fit the bill??

YES. This little bugger is amazing. I recently had a longer-than-usual trip where I packed 3 suits into the removable garment bag. They all fit, plus shirts, jeans, etc and even a spare set of shoes. This would have been tough in my older, larger bag. I'm sold.

The spin factor is pretty much everything it is billed to be. When the floors are hard enough (even light rug is fine), it is a dream. It feels like floating compared to a pull-roller. And if you pay attention, it works even on uneven surfaces like parking garages or sidewalks. Plus you can always turn it into a two wheeled roller.

Like others, I feel that the wheels could be smoother on thicker carpeted surfaces. Also, when FULL, it tends to be a little unbalanced at a standstill. And on a train or similar, be ready to wrangle itit'll move around on you. Wear and tear? Not sure yet, but three trips in it is looking good.

The Travelpro 21" Expandable Spinner Suiter is everything you're looking for in a carry-on bag: it's well made, packed full of features and priced reasonably. The 38 42.5" telescoping handle is extremely long, making it simple to navigate on all four wheels. The contoured handle is also a nice touch for pushing, demonstrating that Travelpro has put a lot of thought into how to maximize the performance and function of its spinner luggage. The front exterior pocket is lightly padded to accommodate a laptop or tablet when you aren't using a second bag. There are two zippered pockets running the length of the interior. The first pocket is made of clear, molded plastic for additional toiletries and easy clean up should any leakage occur. The second zippered pocket is made of the same lining of the interior of the bag. There is also a large mesh pocket on the interior of the zippered closure for dirty clothes or additional storage. A pair of shoes actually fits well in this space. The suit sleeve removes/installs easily, includes a built-in hook for the closet and is large enough to handle even the longest suits. This bag even has a collapsible-zippered water bottle sleeve on the exterior.

It is worth noting that the telescoping handle protrudes into the main storage area in such a way that it divides the base of this bag into thirds for about the first 1.5" off of the bottom. In order to maximize packing space, I place socks, underwear and t-shirts into these divided spaces to make them flush; then you can pack your dress shirts, pants, etc. on an even plane preventing wrinkles. Also, collapsed, this bag will fit into almost all overhead bins. However, once expanded you will likely have to check or gate check this bag.

Very cute, my daughter likes it. I dont think it is extremely durable if you are looking for a long term backpack, it is fraying in areas but it did the job for summer camp. I like that the lunchbox attaches to the backpack and it is a very cute design.

I was looking for a replacement for a small backpack I had been using for the past 8 years. I wanted another backpack that was small and of good quality so it would last a long time. This backpack came exactly as advertised and feels quite durable. It is also fairly light weight. The only thing that I do not like about it is the phone pocket on the arm strap. My phone is easily accessible, but when I have the backpack on it is really close to my face. It also makes the one arm strap heavier then the other so if I am in a rush and only want to use one strap i have to grab the one with the phone. If i put the other strap on my shoulder the backpack tends to slip off. The phone pocket is detachable though so I could remove it if I really wanted to. Overall a great backpack that came exactly as advertised.

Light Weight Drawstring Tote and Backpack in One in Natural

I was delighted with the quality and sturdiness of this bag. I thought, esp for the price, that it would be very light weight, maybe limited use. But I can carry three 18 oz bottle of water, lunches, electronics, and even a small soccer ball without any trouble. I bought three of these in different colours and they all have the same quality. Just wish I'd bought all the string bags from this line. The two others I purchased -with strings, not tape-ribbon -are much flimsier and have already fallen apart. The only thing is I wish the mesh bottle pockets were deeper. A tall bottle will have about a third of it sticking out. When jogging or just slinging it, the bottle can fall out. Shorter ones are fine nice snug fit.

I've been using this bag for less than a month. Already it is falling apart, literally, at the seams. Spend a few extra bucks to get something that will last longer than four weeks.

I got this for school because it looks nice & has good reviews. I was worried about size & by the bad reviews, but I got it & love it. This is everything I want in a bookbag, except there is no water bottle holder. I have bottle cages on my bike though, so I can make do. The main reason I chose this bag is the clips that are supposed to be for a skateboard. They are perfect for my yoga mat. It doesn't work great for heavy, dense yoga mats like Jade mats. However, it is perfect for my Ecowise mat, which is a spongier mat with much better grip than a Jade, and way lighter. The bag has a good amount of storage enough that more would probably be more weight than I really should be walking or riding around with. It has an adjustable belt for your waist and in between the shoulder straps. It took some playing around for me to figure out how to effectively adjust it. I have to readjust it depending on how full and/or heavy it is. But it is very comfortable and functional. I especially like that I can access the side pockets while I'm wearing it so I can access my keys, sunglasses, and phone, without taking off the bag, even while riding my bike. I also wanted a bright color for visibility. This turquoise color is not as bright as I would like, but way better than black.

The draw backs to this bag are mainly that it is not waterproof, it is made of a synthetic material that makes me sweat (I don't usually sweat) and then chafes. It also doesn't feel well constructed, though I've had it for a couple months now and haven't seen any wear. I've always sworn by LL Bean bags, like the one that I have from the early 90s that is still good as new... I will be absolutely shocked if this bag lasts 5 years let alone 20. Not bad at all for the price. I would buy it again.

Overland Equipment Aurora Bag

I love this bag. Really. The color is awesome (not a gaudy bright orange, but bright enough not to be a depressing pukey orange) and the bag is just perfectly functional. Most of the time I fold the top over, but when I wind up with a lot of things to carry, I love that the bag can fit just that much more. There are a lot of smaller mesh pocket compartments, even inside the 2 front pockets, which is fantastic for storing extra little things like lip balm, headphones, gum, etc.

The material itself is thick and appears very durable, but is not heavy. The strap is wide and doesn't bother my shoulder. I bring it to work and carry it around like a purse on the weekends, and it doesn't look scummy at all.

My only complaint would be that there is no clasp or snap to hold the top down when it's folded over, but it's really not a hindrance.

I ordered this bag to take on a recent group vacation involving flights and touring in a motor coach. I wanted something light but roomy enough for everything I'd need on day long excursions camera, Kindle, sketchbook, meds, snacks, etc. This worked just fine. The shoulder strap is comfortable and long enough to cross your body securely and the bag itself is lightweight but sturdy. I could carry it with me on walking tours easily.

I was surprised at just how much the fold-over compartment would hold and it might be easy to overload it if you're not mindful of the weight that would result. There are mesh compartments inside and out for wallet, cell phone, etc, but the fold-over section is essentially a bag, so some digging around is inevitable.

One suggestion I'd make is to add a feature that will secure a water bottle upright, though I was able to wedge mine, screw cap on tight, in the outer compartment and that worked fine.

I really like this bag and expect to use it a lot in town when I have art supplies, books, or paperwork to carry.

Very attractive and functional sleeve case for ASUS tablet. Received compliments. Design is nice, printed on both sides, not embossed; much nicer than just black. My ASUS tablet is in a Bear Motion Leather Case Cover (great protection, use as stand, also from Amazon (Bear Motion ® 100% Genuine Cowhide Leather Case Cover with Stand for Asus Eee Pad Transformer 10.1-Inch TF101 Black LL ) and thought it might not fit per dimensions, but it does fit snuggly in sleeve with room for microfiber cleaning cloth. Unzips 2 corners & about half way down rt side making easy access. Very good product for the price!

Very light weight and it holds quite a bit of stuff for how slim the profile is. I really like a lot of pockets and zippers for things and this bag doesn't disappoint in this way. More important, though, the pockets are large and spacious I don't like when every pocket provided in a bag is small or unusable. This bag does not have that. I got the grey bag for a change partly because the black was out of stock and also because I thoguht I would do something different. One note on the color the grey is much darker than it looks on the website. Closer to a darker grey than the light grey it looks like. Nice but different. The red stiching is nice and durable. It appears to be a very durable bag, I'll report back if that proves to be different.

This day pack has lots of pockets and room. I can keep my small electronics, keys. and money where it is easy to get to. I did not use it for my computer yet. I travel for short periods of time and I like the fact that it holds alot of different items.

This bag is a must buy for any urban commuter travelling on public transit. It's slim form factor lets you navigate crowds with ease but you can still carry all your essentials with room to spare. I usually carry my 15" macbook, a packed lunch, kindle, charger, umbrella (for really rainy days) and there's still room left! Also, it's water proof so it gives you piece of mind when stowing expensive electronics. It may be a bit pricey but it seems like good quality material that will stand the test of time.

I was uber-excited to find this bag online. It shipped really quickly and looked really cute. The zippers catch easily and from day one I was afraid they would break, however the straps beat them to the punch. I didn't even get to use this bag for a full week before both straps started to separate from the bag at the top of the backpack. I only ever carry a couple of notebooks at a time, so the load wasn't heavy by any means. I did have a history book in there one day, but when it comes to history books, mine is on the lighter side. I have sewn the straps back on and I hope they hold, but the material isn't really meant to be re-sewn, so only time will tell... I wish the bag had been better made since it is so adorable, or that the price had been lowernearly $40 is too much for a bag that can't be used.

Two days after I posted the above portion of this review one of the straps snapped off the bag and the zipper on the front pocket broke.

This backpack is super cute, seems to be decently well made. I don't think it will fall apart any time soon. HOWEVER I am embarrassed to carry it around and open it because of the nasty smell that it has. It's pretty fishy. I've been steadily trying to get the smell out and haven't been terribly successful. I'll keep trying because it really is adorable.

High Sierra AT656 22 Inch - Carry On Expandable Wheeled Duffel with Backpack Straps

I was about to travel overseas to Amsterdam which is known for steep steps and cobblestone streets. I only wanted to bring one bag, and liked the Rick Steves idea of going with only one carryon (although I cheated and also brought a messenger bag just in case).

I love this suitcase for many reasons.

PROS:

It's exactly carry-on size for most airlines, but only if it's lightly packed. Thus, I put a lot of stuff for the trip to Europe in my messenger bag so that the suitcase would stay 9" deep.

If you end up buying lots of souvenirs like I did on your trip, the bag actually expands in depth from 9" to 14". Of course, you'll probably have to check your bag in on the way back, but there will probably be no checked bag fee (for international travel, that is).

The suitcase straps are convenient if you need them. I personally never did, but I can see a situation where I don't really want to drag the bag.

-It has a duffel-like strap over the top (when it's lying flat). You can't really use it for carrying, but it's nice to help heft a full bag onto your luggage rack for unpacking using just one hand.

You can use the adjustable side buckles to compress the bag a little more when it's packed, so that stuff moves around less and the bag takes up just a bit less space

CONS:

As is typical, the collapsing bar you use to drag the bag takes up a lot of space in the interior.

Once full, the suitcase is pretty heavy on your back. It doesn't look like the materials use any of the super-fancy lightweight structural stuff like carbon fiber, but that's why you're saving money on luggage. :)

The grey and red version, which I bought, doesn't stand out like crazy on the conveyor belt, so you really gotta hunt for it for a flight coming off a 747 after you've gone through customs.

It's not a "spinner" four-wheeled suitcase. I'm still coveting one of those.

All in all, I recommend this suitcase especially if you're traveling somewhere that you'll be coming home with more stuff than you left.

This bag has been with me on a number of trips now, including a 2-week tour through military bases in Afghanistan. I've used it as a carry on and as checked bag. It has already been subjected to a true beating and it has come through extremely well. This is a product well worth the money.

I purchased this case, specifically for a two week trip to Europe, in which I would be flying and carrying this on as well as taking trains throughout Europe. I thought I would use the straps but I did not and that was okay, they were there if I needed them. If you are careful in your packing (I used a ruler)and do not extend the case or overpack, this fits nicely into overhead compartments on an airplane. We were on three different planes before we arrived in Luxembourg and this case did nicely. This case is a really good size for traveling by train as well, as the overhead storage is significantly smaller on trains. When it was fully packed I had to keep it in the seat with me a couple of times.

The extended handle felt a little flimsy at times, but it never gave out. I had two different people on my trip lose there wheels on their suitcases. We were literally schlepping from train station to hotel on cobblestone roads for as far as two miles, in five different cities. This little case did wonderful. As the trip progressed I had plenty of room to pack souveniers. My room mate was amazed at everything I could pack in this case. I had it completely full for our trip back, in which it was checked luggage. It never toppled over or became difficult to manage throughout the airport. This was a great little suitcase. My only feedback would be improvements to security. It does not have a locking mechanism on it and the zipper pulls were not really designed to attach a lock or keep a lock as they were parachute cording. I was able to secure it using cable ties. Just carry extra in case you have to open your case for customs.

I love this bag!

It has a zippered lining running through the middle of the bag so you have an upper and lower shelf, or you can unzip it and it roles and bungees out of the way for one large compartment. The pocket sizes are just right the one in front runs almost to the bottom of the bag and is shaped so it's not incredibly tight; I can easily fit my arm down in, and the mesh pocket inside also feels oddly roomy.

This bag feels durable. The material, stitching, zippers, clips, handle and wheels all feel sturdy and meant to last with reasonable use.

The backpack straps fold away perfectly. Instead of having to scrunch them into a pocket, the back panel unzips away from the bag and folds over backward to become a protection pad to keep the wheels from getting your sides dirty.

I bought the green bag and really love the color. I'm not quite sure what to call it it's brighter than a forest, maybe "fern"? it's distinctive, but not obnoxious. Very pretty.

The first thing I thought of when I saw the clips on the sides was that they are perfect to help with overpacking problems if you can't get the zipper shut, just let the straps out all the way, clip them, and yank them to tighten everything, then zip.

The strap across the front, in combination with the clips on the side, make it easy to clip together and lift if you need to move the bag quickly while unpacking, but without a lot of fuss.

The 2" expansion ability is a plus, and the zipper is specially labeled so it's easy to find. Nice touch.

FYI, the strap on the front is all one piece, it doesn't separate into two handles. I don't care, but apparently in Europe it's very fashionable for a couple to share the duffel-carrying duties by each taking a strap. That wouldn't be possible with this bag.

Overall I love this bag. I'm a photographer and always in search of the perfect camera bag, but this duffel has finally ended my search for the perfect luggage. I've used it just a couple times now, but I really can't think of anything I've found that I wish I could change. Thumbs up all around.

Preface: I purchased 3 bags. This one, the 26-inch version and the 32-inch version.

This bag in particular is generally my carry-on. I fly exclusively on Delta and on larger jets, it fits exactly as its supposed to in the overhead bin, wheels in, top out. On midsized regional planes, it fits sideways. I have not yet flown with it on the small regional jets, but I expect to have to "pink tag" it and drop/retrieve it at the gate.

NOTE: The above statement assumes that you keep the expansion CLOSED, not open. If you open the expansion, be prepared to check it (and pay for it) on most aircraft. I pack this bag relatively light so the top pocket can be kind of "squished" in, for lack of a better term. I can get a 2-3 day trip out of this bag.

As far as the series AT-6 luggage in general, some reviewers have knocked it because its not a spinner type (4 independent wheels), and I'm not sure why, its pretty obvious its not. If that's what you're looking for, all I can tell you is that this luggage isn't what you're looking for.

All roll aboard luggage with the retractable handle like this takes up space inside and this bag is also no exception. There is a thin piece of material between the compartment and the telescope path which is flexible, so you could probably cram a few extra pairs of socks in if you plan ahead.

I have taken these bags on numerous trips since purchase and they're holding up very well, checked and as carry-on. I've not had any broken contents (knock on wood) in any case, nor have any parts or straps been torn or broken (knock on wood).

The built-in ID card holder is a really nice feature, protected from the elements and is attached by a piece of elastic so it can't simply fall out and be lost (spreading your personal information all over the airport). I don't use the backpack straps much, but on the 22-inch bag, they're comfortable. I find the other larger ones too heavy to wear like that comfortably.

The only way I could suggest High Sierra make this series better (again, I'm not letting it detract from my rating because it is clear it doesn't have this feature) is to add a "daisy-chain" strap for easier towing of more than one piece. This is a roomy bag with a enough pockets for everything you may need on a trip. The number of pockets, slots for credit cards, pens, etc. make it a good choice for travel. The zippered areas gave you many choices to stow items. The enhanced security of the bag is the main reason I bought it. I was able to carry a water bottle, and other items easily. I can't figure out if the finish of the fabric is what makes it look sort of crinkled or the stiff underlayer. I took it everywhere on my vacation, and it did well until the tiny screws that held the plate around the clasp fell off. I did return the bag to Magellan, and I am still waiting for my replacement or repair.

I purchased this item at full price from Magellan. As advertised, it is both safe and durable.

However, due to the bag's safety-conscious design, it is very difficult to access items in the primary central space: just to get to the zippered opening, one must pull long straps through guides that frequently catch. Then, once the zipper is opened, items are in a jumble in the large space, even though there seem to be plenty of both internal and external pockets. Finally, the latch on the side that faces "out" frequently twists without warning and comes open, so you won't want to store anything valuable in that location.

If you are traveling in an area prone to pick-pockets and other thefts, it is probably good choice, but be prepared to spend a good deal of time just looking for what you've been toting.

This is a good back pack for my petite 5-year-old. It's big on her, but fits her folders/binders (and every other Kindergartener has a big back pack). Her previous toddler size back pack was too small for binders. The image is great and looks like it will last. However, the handle on top pulled away from the stitching on the first day of school.

My daughter was happy to receive this bag as her school bag but within two months the bag fell apart. At first the zipper on the face of the bag gave way and so, she couldn't use that to hold her snack packs. We couldn't fix it either because the zipper was fastened into the inner area of the bag. Today, the top zipper gave way and now, it is ready for the dumps!

In all, the bag lasted only 2 months of her using it for school. It is a pretty piece but the zippers need fixing. The bag is well assembled of course but something is grossly wrong with the zippers is it because it is machine made? I have no idea but I am done buying the Disney bags. I told her she has to have something American made to last for her current school year. No more Chinese made school bags...

After wanting to upgrade my pack from last year, I decided on the ALPZ Big Bear pack. This pack has exceeded all my expectations for what a hunting pack should be. The load bearing straps make it really easy to adjust for heavy loads. I needed a pack that can hang low enough during bow season to accomodate carrying my tree stand. This is the only pack on the market that does so. It can also convert into a day pack with ease. For a true one man backwoods bow hunter like myself. I needed a system that is versatile and easy enough to use for the different types of hunting days I have. During bow season, I have to carry water, calls, release, scent destroyer, food, emergency kit, phone, and my tree stand. I really like the ability to open up the day pack portion in the winter for extra clothes. I normally hunt with large durable backpack becasue I like to be able and add a coat or undershirt in the bag on cold days. Being able to colapse or expand makes it universal for trips in the woods. This hunting pack was well worth the spend.
