Trail Maker Classic 16" Backpack

I bought this bag for two reasons: its cheap and its simple. I don't like shopping for back packs because there are a million designs and colors and they are all expensive, and this backpack is perfect. I needed something to take with when I go hiking to hold my water bottles, phone, and wallet: this backpack met all those needs. Then I started using it daily to take to work with meI have been using it daily on hikes, walks, and to work for almost 8 months and it still holds up fine. I even ordered a second one just to have it around in case. Also, it does hold a lot of weight. When I hike, I like to add some weight to the backpack to increase the challenge, and I once had 80 lbs in weights plus two 32 oz water bottles in there and it held up perfectly for the 3 hour hike. Love it!

Okay so after reviewing other back packs online I noticed that hey, this ones cheaper only because its about an inch to 2 inches smaller than the others. That's not bad at all, is what I was thinking. Although, the seller did describe it very well, its a tiny bit smaller than what I imagined. It fits my daughters books, just right, its very simplistic in style (and thats exactly what she wanted), but that inch to 2 inches really does make a difference. The reason is because the bag is very plain so it does look a "tad" bit smaller than others. I have one girl who's about 5'3 and the other is about 5'6 ( 1 preteen & teen both slim & curvy) and the back pack looks super cute on both! So, if you don't mind a simplistic bag that looks a tad bit small, this is worth it. Last note, I'm questioning the quality of the bag. It doesn't "look" like it can hold (in weight) too many books, guess will find out.

This backpack is simply made, one large main storage area and one outside pocket and no padding making it very light weight. I'm using this to carry my purse and tablet as I'm not adding much weight using this backpack. Great for taking the bus around town. The small outside pocket is large enough to hold a fairly bulky zoom digital camera but I put it in a padded sleeve first since that pocket would most likely be bumped a lot.

The straps are padded and only 2" wide which is great for my narrow shoulders but not so narrow that they dig into my shoulders even with my hefty purse inside.

Kalencom Coated Buckle Bag

This diaper bag is wonderful. The size is perfect if you have one child and the material of the bag (inside and out) is very easy to clean and stain-resistant. The length of the strap is just right and conveniently adjustable (I'm 5'6"). The two pockets on the outside are great for a cell phone and a set of keys, maybe a small wallet. I do think that the changing pad is a wonderful size and made of great material (same material as the inside of the bag) but I wish it was easier to keep together-the ties are not the easiest thing to manage. The zippered bag is a huge plus, perfect for carrying around all sorts of stuff and the insulated bottle holder is really convenient and does a great job keeping a bottle (or a water bottle for mom) cold. I purchased the Calypso color (because my husband will actually carry it, since it isn't 'too girly') and the color is wonderful, it has the aqua color on the inside of everything (except the bottle holder) and I think it's about as gender-neutral as they get. I am impressed with the attention to detail throughout the whole bag and I would highly recommend this bag to anyone looking for something a little different than the usual 'cutesy' diaper bag.

I LOVE this diaper bag. Despite my son being two, I still carry a bag whenever we go anywhere. Whether it's for a change of clothes of anything that I might need for him, this bag has been wonderful. I used four different bags before buying this one. I will gladly admit that I wish I would have spent more on a diaper bag upfront rather than having to go through several bags at 20-40 dollars a pop. It's also super easy to clean. The outside has a type of vinyl that makes wipe offs really easy.

Oakley Large Carry Duffel

Have purchased Oakley products for years and am always impressed by quality of materials and workmanship. This bag was returned immediately and not even considered as worthy. The materials were average although workmanship appeared fine. It was flimsy and struck me as unworthy of Oakley name-brand. Compare cost to name-brand competitors with similar features and dimension and I believe you shall agree with me. This unit will cost you 50% to 100% percent more and there are no redeeming qualities to justify increased price. I purchased the Under Armour mid-size instead.

I am in love with this bag! The fabric is gorgeous and has the signature hand embroidered patch which gives it a little touch of class. The fabric itself is glazed, which is great in case of spills or dirt... I just wipe it off. It has a front zip-out changing pad that can be easily velcroed off for cleaning. The top of the bag zips closed and has a ton of inner pockets and one inner zipper pocket. The bag comes with a detachable shoulder strap made out of seatbelt material. The only two complaints about this bag are that I wish it had metal feet on the bottom of the bag to help keep the bottom protected when it's on the ground, and I wish it had an inner key hook so that my keys have a designated place. Other than that, this bag is beautiful, functional and a good price for what you get!

This is the best bag I've ever owned. It is very durable, water resistant, classy and functional. The material of the bag is very light, which is a big deal when you are carrying around all your baby stuff, your child and for me, the weight of my next pregnancy. It's also a great price for a petunia picklebottom bag.

I purchased this bag after a previous diaper bag fell apart a few months into using it. This is my fourth baby and I have eyed the Petumia Pickle Bottom bags since I was pregnant with my first, but thought the price was too high. After going through my share of bags, however, I decided to spring for it and wish I had done so long ago. I would probably still be carrying the same bag around and would have SAVED money in the long run. It is a very sturdy bag and just feels like it's good quality. It's roomy, but not overly so...I have two in diapers at the moment, so I pack 6 disposable diapers total, a wipes case, a nursing cover, sometimes a container of puffs, multiple toys, etc. All of it fits well and is easily accessed when needed. It took me a long time to justify the price but after trying a courier bag and a regular backpack, I decided I really needed something with a lot of pockets like all diaper bags have. I'll admit that I haven't tried any other diaper bag so I can't really compare but I really like this one.

The size surprised me a little (as in it's big) but this is my first baby and I had no comparison data. Once I started putting stuff in though, I realized the bag was a perfect size. Babies need a lot of stuff!

Things I loved:

all the compartments

the print (I got Classically Crete). It is still a bit baby-bag-ish but I find the whimsical print adorable

the material. I love that it's easily wipe-able for when baby makes messes on the bag

how it feels incredibly sturdy

Things I am not as thrilled about:

the weight of the bag. The bag by itself is kind of heavy but I suppose that's the trade-off for how sturdy it is

the included diaper pad. It's too small, but thankfully, it's remove-able so I just detached it and I pack my own changing mat

the price. It is more than I would ever spend on a bag for just myself

I know it's ridiculous to wish for because no one ever does this but I would have loved 2 zippered pockets inside for my own stuff. There is one but trying to put a bunch of stuff in it means you can't find anything so I only use it for my wallet now. I ended up getting a pencil pouch to throw my other personal things in so that I could keep it separate from baby's stuff.

What I usually carry: a wipes box, a bunch of diapers, a flannel receiving blanket, a changing pad, a change of clothes for baby, 2 bottles, a few bibs, toys, a few small solid food containers, a water bottle for myself, disinfectant wipes, and a few other odds and ends. I could probably still fit a bit more if I needed to.

This bag doesn't come with the stroller clips so you'd have to get those separately and they're quite nice so I'm glad I got those too.

This bag is awesome quality and great to look at to boot! The end pockets are great to hold my keys and cell. The inside pocket holds my wallet and the wipes so they're easy to access. I wish the changing pad were longer is my only complaint. I bought the stroller hooks separately.

The delivery was prompt and the product is great. This case has enough space to hold all accessories for the notebook and it has lots of pockets for other stuff and, as stated in the product overview, it has a velcro attachment that can be adjusted to the size of your notebook. My notebook is 12.1 inches and it fits perfectly. If I had a 17inch notebook I could easily adjust the space to fit.

I highly recommend this product. It is also very sturdy.

I love all the pockets on this bag. I have yet to use them all. It is durable and cool. It's not the standard looking Targus bag I got from work with my work laptop. If I didn't have such a bulky day time planner, my laptop and everything would fit perfectly. Too bad it didn't have an expandable bottom or else I would have given it 5 stars.

Other than that it fits my 15" and my 17" laptops without a problem. I even put both in the bag at once.

Wow I love this case. I wasn't going to buy it because I didn't know if I would get much use out of it now that I'm retired but when I saw it even if I use it once it was worth it. It has a pocket for anything and everything. The color is somewhat different/darker than the picture. The picture to me looks light grey on Amazon but the bag is accually a very dark grey or black. I don't care about that particularly because the orange details are what catches your eye. The construction is unbelievable for the money. Many zippers and you can tell by operating them they will last. Nice compartment for the laptop itself with a nice amount of padding. I have a 17.3" so the selection is a bit limited. This bag is big enough but not too big to be balky. I think it is difficult to judge this type of thing on the internet but this one is all I would ever want it to be. Now I can't wait to go somewhere!!

I have been looking for a travel backpack with style...this one is gorgeous and soft as butter! I did have to slide the straps past the zipper to make it snug enough, but it really wasn't an issue for me. Then I discovered if you unhooked each side and connected them to each other, it turns into a cross body bag. Security was also an issue for me...not only does this bag snap in front (corner to corner), but it also has a zipper all the way across the top.

Quiksilver Men's 1969 Special Backpack

I received this bag so quickly I could hardly believe it. Which was great because my last bag broke. I'm a pretty loyal Quicksilver customer, my last QS bag lasted 2 years, and I'm expecting the same from this one.

From what I saw on Amazon, and directly from the retailers, this is the best bag available at the moment. It may not be the coolest looking, but it will definitely be the most useful. If you are looking for something a little more funky, try Hurley or Dakine because they have some cool looking bags. If this bag is for college, like it is for me, really consider this bag because it can carry everything you can possibly think of needing for class.

It has a HUGE amount of space in the main compartment, but it would have been great if it had a laptop sleeve in there. A 15" Mac Book Pro fits very nicely though. You might have trouble with a 17". But there is also another large pocket that goes all the way down to the bottom.

The zips make a little bit of noise when you move the bag, but you'll only notice that if you are really picky. It also seems very sturdy even though it's very light. This bag would have been awesome if it was in some better color combinations, but if you are looking for a conservative bag for class, or that you might be able to take to work after class this is a great choice!

Call me nerdy, but I'm going to have a good time trying to figure out where to put what in my bag.

Bag was ordered on the assumptions that a) it looked sturdy enough and

b) THE brand (this was for a teenager after all).

One of the straps ripped straight out of the bag on the first day of school; it had never been used before! There was little weight inside the bag (three near-empty folders, one book). The strap was stitched horribly on to the main compartment and the whole thing, on close inspection, looked like it would have fallen apart very soon anyway.

Built-in obsolescence is seriously uncool. This one's a return job.

It would work for a tutu and ballet slippers, I suppose, but nothing else.

Ju-Ju-Be Be Right Back Diaper Bag New

I have have owned the Ju Ju Be BFF, packabe and ppb's boxy backpack. This one is my favorite.

Here is a detailed comparison of the BFF vs. the Be Right Back 2.0 (I will refer to as the BRB for the rest of the post)-

-The backpack straps on the BRB have firmer padding and the padding extends down the strap longer. This is important for those of us who have 'thicker' shoulders or those who choose to pack the BFF's back pocket to the max.

-The BRB has a nice mesh breathable fabric against the back and underneath the straps, the BFF does not

-The BRB straps are very easily adjustable, the BFF's are not

-The BRB has a side zipper pocket that runs along the back and is easy to access (changing pad located here), the BFF has a pocket on the back and in order to access it you must move both backpack straps (changing pad located here)

-The grab handle on the BFF is slightly more padded than the grab handle on the BRB

-The insulated cup holders are deeper on the BRB

-The mommy pocket is a different shape and has less pockets but overall holds more in the BRB

-The soft lined phone pocket is wider (about 1 inch) and deeper in the BRB

-The BRB utilizes magnet closure with 1 exterior small but deep pocket, The BFF does not have any magnet closure pockets

-The BFF has a sturdy and padded bottom with metal feet, the BRB does not (this is the only thing I don't like about the BRB)

-The BFF has more pockets in the main compartment, but overall much less space in the main compartment

-The BFF can be utilized as a messenger bag or backpack, the BRB is only a backpack

-The BFF is available in more prints currently

Overall I do like the BRB much better. I find access to be much easier/quicker, and that it holds more. I also find it more comfortable. The BRB is a nice size as well, for example, the other backpack from Ju Ju Be, the PackaBe, is just waaay tooo huge to carry around on a daily basis. and I found the backpack straps on the PackaBe to be extremely thin.

I have 3 boys ages 3, 2 and 6 months. This is perfect for me on an almost every day basis. For dates, or the rare occasion where I do not have the boys with me, I use my Be Quick.

Let me start by saying I LOVE my old diaper bag (by Oioi.) However, it is a messanger bag style and now that I have a 2.5 yr old and a newborn on the way, I was hoping to find something with a little more room (if possible) and I really felt the need to have a diaper bag that would leave my hands free (although I didn't want a backpack so big I'd look like a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle walking around.) I am pleasantly surprised with this bag! I bought it after seeing how much it fit on the Youtube video posted by Little Dudes and Divas. When I received it, it looked kind of small, so i was skeptical, and I was concerned with some of the other reviews that complained about lack of pockets and losing items in the one large compartment. But I found the number of pockets is just right. I can fit everything that was in my old bag, plus I still have plenty of room to spare. The way the pockets are configured are different than what I was used to with the messenger style bag. It took me about a week to get used to the verticle set up, but once I "re-learned" where everything was, this sucker ROCKS. It's like I barely have to go into the main compartment. I love that I can fit my portable potty seat in the back outside pocket where the changing pad also fits. The package of wipes fit lovely in the front outside pocket along with a travel pack of Wet Ones, and Clorox wipes. There's a pocket at the top where I fit 2 disposible changing pads, 2 pull-ups and 2 diapers, along with room to spare. There's a front top pocket where I keep small bags of snacks (fruit snacks, M&Ms for potty rewards, rice bars, Annie's cheddar bunnies etc.) I don't really use the "Mommy Pocket" for my things as much as additional rewards for potty training, a swiss army knife, and random toys (cars, wind-up toys), tissues, comb, individual wrapped wet ones, etc. There has been occassion when I didn't want to bring my pocketbook where I also put my wallet, phone, keys, lipstick and pocket mirror in there as well (plenty of room for everything.) Then of course the "main" compartment fits everything but the kitchen sink. For me, I just keep 3 snack cups, 2 Take & Toss bowls filled with snacks, a change of clothes for my toddler (new baby isn't born yet), apple sauce, coloring books, crayons, etc. (stuff I don't typically need to access on the fly.) It's virtually empty. I'm figuring this is where I'll likely keep most of the babies items (change of clothes, blankets, spit-up rags, swaddle blankets, nursing covers, bibs, etc.) So, needless to say, this bag, although it appears small, holds a boatload.

Then there are the "amenities"! Teflon coating makes it super easy to wipe clean. My son spilled apple sauce only a day or two after i got it. It wiped clean without so much as a smell, stain, sticky mess or anything. I love the concept that I can just drop it in the washing machine in case it does get gross. It's the only diaper bag I've seen on the market that offers this option. I've spent so much time wiping my old bag down with Clorox wipes and spraying it down with Lysol whenever I've dropped it on a bathroom floor, or had to tuck it under an airplane seat. The 3M insultated bottle pockets are awesome! Ju-Ju-Be advertises that it will keep a bottle or cup hot or cold for 3 hours. I've found it lasts much longer. First, I like the height of the pockets. I have the tall sippy cups for my son, and they fit in there perfectly. The sides are elasticized, so it "holds" the cup in place, but allows me to easily reach in and grab the cup, but the height prevents a large amount of the cup (and mouthpiece) to stick out and possibly touch things like shopping carts, the car floor, etc. I pack my son a straw cup of ice water every morning, then I leave it in the bag when I drop it off at daycare with my son. I've become accustomed to room temperature water in the evening when I pick him up, but now the water actually stays cold! The ice is melted, but the water is still cold. I was SHOCKED.

The bag itself is super comfortable. The straps are easily adjustable where it only takes seconds for my husband or I to move the size (I'm 5'5", 120lbs, and my hubby is 6'0" and 220 lbs, so there's a big difference in what "fits" each of us.) The memory foam padding on both the back of the bag (entirely covers your back) and the ones on the straps makes this bag actually enjoyable to wear (even pregnant, it's extremely cushy on my back, and seems to take the weight off carrying so much stuff.) I also really like that there's a handle on the top of the bag that let's me reach down and pick it up with one hand to carry out to the car or whatever, without having to actually put it on my back.

The only reason I didn't rate this bag a 5 is because i would have preferred some additional options in pattern. We got the Stargyle which is very nice. I like it. But I wanted something distinct in pattern (so it stood out), but that wouldn't be too "girly" for when my husband had to carry it. This pretty much fits the bill, I guess. It's not overly feminine, but there's nothing remotely masculine about it either. I would have preferred something more gender neutral. This pattern is cute, though. I like it, and since I'll have 2 boys, it works out fine.

I received this as a Christmas Gift. After having my second baby, my first diaper bag was starting to get strenuous for my shoulder. We went on a small vacation, and I used a backpack while at the amusement park. I asked for a diaperbag backpack for Christmas, and my parents purchased me this one. They were worried it could be too small, and at first glance, I thought it could be too. Hardly! Not only is this bag better on my back, but my favorite feature is the organization of this bag. All the compartments are easy to get to and unlike a traditional diaper bag, I don't have to pull everything out to find the diaper or the extra onsie. Here is what is inside currently:

The construction is great! Can't comment on how long it'll last, since I've only had it a few weeks. But I'm hoping for a long time!

This new version of JJB's BRB is excellent to say the least! The new design is slimmer than the older version but has lot of room. For easy packing, the bag unzips all the way so you can almost pack it like a suitcase. If you only need one thing out of the bag, however, you can just upzip part of the way without opening the entire bag. The mommy pocket has a lot of space so I don't need to carry a purse along with this bag. I also like the cell phone pocket and then the extra pocket on the front. The changing pad pocket is so nice because it is rather hidden and I can fit my Kindle Fire in there as well. The bag isn't nearly as heavy as the older version and sits well on my back. Even my husband had no problem carrying it all day at the zoo. We have two children and cloth diaper our youngest. We're able to fit everything we need for a full day out and even had room left over! I also like the mesh area on the front of the bag when you unzip the big part. I can fit all our extra clothes there and then have the whole main compartment for coats, food, diapers, etc.

As always, the best thing about JJB is that they are washable, so I don't have to be so careful about putting the backpack down on the ground! Definitely worth the money and the Stargyle print is beautiful in real life. The gray seems darker and the blues more vibrant than the photos online!

I wanted the BFF made by Ju Ju Be but it was too small for me to accommodate everything I need for my infant and toddler. The BRB fits everything I need on a daily basis with plenty of room to spare for traveling or full day trips. It appears small but fits much more than you would expect as you start packing. It is very comfortable and feels lightweight which is pleasantly surprising because of the thick durable material it is made out of. The mommy pocket fits everything you would need to carry in a purse comfortably and is my favorite feature. The outside of the bag has a nice amount of pockets but I think the inside could have used a few more for better organization. I do wish there were feet on the bottom of the bag but that's not a huge deal as it still stands on its own when packed. The side zipper for the changing pad is so easy to access and can fit more such as diapers and wipes or an iPad or kindle. The major reason I didn't rate this bag five stars is because of the print choices. Ju ju be makes so many cute prints and it was frustrating that there were so few offered for this bag. It seemed strange that they made two in solid black and another two with black backgrounds. Because its a pricey bag I wanted to love the print but in the end I liked all the features so much I decided to settle on the print aspect. Overall a great bag and I will recommend to friends.

Online shopping can be misguiding at times due to the image quality and lighting. When the bag came, I thought they shipped a different colored bag because the green is completely different than what is pictured. I bought the bag for the color and minimalistic features.

I'm upset with the color but the bag is durable and great, just wish the color was correct.

Started using these poles for hiking in the mountains. Don't know why I waited so long! They really save on the wear and tear on your knees. Very light to carry. Handles are comfortable and the polls retract small enough to fit in my backpack. Love them!

Maxpedition Gear Tactical Rolling Carry-On

I purchased this bag for trips where all I was taking was a carry on. It works great in conjunction with my Sitka and has plenty of organizing compartments. It is a little on the bigger side of the carry on spectrum but I've never had any trouble getting it in and out of those cramped Southwest overheads. Its rugged and can take a beating, would definitely recommend.

After years of using a Jansport bag for my weekly travel, i decided to get a roller bag. after a half dozen trips i am pretty happy with this carry-on. It Fits easily in various overheads, is durable and flexible. Not huge, but a good size for most business trips I take where I don't need to pack a jacket.

I left the carry strap at home and just rolled it behind me.

Vera Bradley Large Laptop Tote

Purchased this for my daughter who is going to college in the fall. Perfect! Great quality, great colors and pattern.

I am a lover of Vera Bradley bags, and I have been looking for one to fit my 13" MacBook Pro. All I could find was totes, so I was excited to see this bag made specifically for laptops! The laptop fits in a sleeve in the middle of the bag with plenty of room on either end of the sleeve, so I'm sure a larger laptop could fit in there as well. The sleeve is padded also, which is really nice that I didn't have to buy a separate sleeve. (Although I do have a GMYLE cover/case over the MacBook.)

There are also two other compartments on either side of the sleeve...one side has three pockets that can hold quite a bit (phones, pens, etc. It is made with the same quality and durability that I have loved from Vera Bradley bags. The straps are long enough to go over my shoulder and not slide off which I really like as well. This bag can hold alot without being a gigantic bag. I currently have a Nook (inside a Vera Bradley small reader cover), 1 textbook, and a variety of "purse" contents (so that I can carry only one bag), and there is still plenty of room for more.

I would recommend this bag for anyone that is looking for a stylish laptop bag that isn't a backpack or briefcase style bag. It's wonderful! :)

Ogio Bandit II Laptop/Tablet Backpack

First off I would have given this backpack 5 stars if it priced a little better. Don't get me wrong, this bag is high quality and has lots of very neatly thought out storage spots most which are fleece lined as to not scratch your items. But it is very tough (for me anyway) to spend $100 on a backpack...but I did and I'm glad I did. I use it to bring my lunch and personals to work while riding my Honda CBR1000rr. Fits like a glove, adjusts easy, and is very comfortable. Almost forget I'm wearing it while riding. Fits my 17.3 HP pavillion g7 perfectly and my coleman soft shell 6pack cooler with my cell phone. The front chest cross strap which clips together is essential while riding as it keeps the shoulder straps from sliding back.I would HIGHLY recommend this bag, but maybe wait for a better price.

I got this backpack as a college student, and love all of the pockets to put things in, but thought it was going to be a bit larger. The front organization pocket and side pockets are awesome for school supplies (pencils, calculator, headphones, etc), and the laptop sleeve fits my 17" (10.5" x 15" x 1.25") widescreen laptop very snugly. It you have a 17" square laptop, I doubt it will fit.

The one thing that I would think you might not want to over look is the capacity of the main pocket. I am an engineering student, and typically have two to three(full) 1.5" 3 ring binders with me, and an engineering textbook or 2. This backpack just barely holds that if packed pretty tight(without the laptop). Also, the foam cushion at the bottom of the laptop compartment enters into the main compartment a bit, and makes the book nearest to the back sit up about an inch or so, but there is empty space at the top so that is not an issue.

As a added bonus, the colors are very similar to the Purdue black and gold, BOILERUP!

Overall, I got this backpack for about 65 bucks shipped from one of the other "new" options and I am very happy with my purchase, but it may not be the best pick for you simply because of the size.

Great design, with many many compartments. I use this bag everyday while I am riding my motorcycle and it is the most comfortable bag I have ever owned. The bag isn't as big as I had expected it would be but it easily holds a large laptop with a well sized main compartment with ipod, camera, phone and mouse storage. The major downside is the poor designed water bottle holders on either side of the bag. Instead of using a mesh system like on most other bags, it has two pockets that unzip. The issue is that if your bottle isn't the exact size of the holder the bottle will fall out of the holder as you can't zip it up to hold the bottle in. Otherwise it is a good bag and worth the extra cost over the over bags available. Looks great in white
