I'm very pleased with this bag. It has become my everyday bag because it organizes my things so well. The back wall easily holds a Nexus 7 and Kindle paperwhite. My Android smart phone fits easily in the RFID pocket and the other side pocket holds my reading glasses and pens. The main compartment is spacious. I have an old zipper pouch that holds loose items (lipstick, hand sanitizer, hand cream, etc.), and a large wallet that both fit with room to spare. How much room? On a recent event, I had all these items in this bag plus a full size DSLR camera with an 18-70mm lens--a snug fit, but there was still space to stuff little things if I had to. This little backpack is a workhorse. The Herringbone version looks fabulous.

I really researched to finally get this purse and its multiple benefits:

1.It is really secure, because of it smart zipper hook, slash proof shoulder straps and slash proof mesh that covers it under the exterior fabric.

2. The fabric (which is nice and elegant) could match both black or brown accessories.

3. Has a great internal distribution, an anti scam pocket, an external pocket for example to easily reach your phone or for handkerchiefs. Fits my iPad, water bottle wallet, mini umbrella and.

I love it! looks durable! my fingers are crossed.

I used the backpack for about a week before we travelled to Europe where we had been told pickpockets abound in some of the more touristy places. I often carry a purse-backpack and really enjoyed using it. But in the end I opted for a packsafe purse that I could wear across my body and not have to take off when I paid for something (which I thought would be a vulnerability if there were purse thieves around!) I still like the backpack and plan to continue to use it for everyday at home.

I bought this for an upcoming trip to Italy because I plan to hold on to my goodies.

I figure that it will take some effort to get inside because of the clever zippers and

special mesh in the front panel. The straps have thin steel cables inside and lock so

Built NY Black Laptop Sleeve

The laptop sleeve is great quality; the problem is the sizing is way off. I had read other review of this product which said that the laptop sleeve ran small and suggested that you buy a size bigger than your computer, and I did. I bought a 17" laptop sleeve for a 15.4" widescreen laptop and the Built NY 17" laptop sleeve was still too small for my computer or to be specific it was still too narrow for my computer. Amazon lists the external dimensions as 16.9 in L x 11.8 in W x .5 in D. The 11.8 in W measurement that is listed is from the ends. The hour glass part in the middle is around 10.4 inches wide, so if your computer is wider than about 9.5 inches don't buy this laptop sleeve.

Fits my new 15.4" MacBook Pro. At first I wasn't sure about the hourglass shape but once it's on the laptop the shape modifies. Doesn't look as,'hourglassly'. I really like the funky designs but wish they had more patterns to choose from. I bought the LARGE multi Poka dot pattern with the off white background .. which I LOVE..and the brown multi-dot one. It gives a very snug fit and fits into my backpack nicely.

Even though it says 15" it fits my 15.4" UNI-BODY MacBook Pro PERFECTLY.. I Highly recommend!!

i purchased a macbook and wanted to get a semi-protective sleeve for it. the product itself is well-made. however, it does not fit the 13" macbook very well which causes the laptop to shift around inside the case.

with that said, i would not recommend this product for the 13" macbook as it is a better fit for owners of 14" and 15" laptops.

This is an extremely well made sleeve for a laptop. I have a Toshiba 17" laptop and I bought this sleeve because of the outstanding workmanship. It fits my laptop like a glove. It is made of wet suit material which offers more cushion than another sleeve I used on my 15" laptop. It zips on the side instead of the front so it offers more protection for the computer. I own a 14 inch HP Pavilion Laptop and I think this product was especially made for it. It's an EXACT fit and I love it. I'm not sure how it would fit with a 15 inch computer as it seems there wouldn't be room for another inch but if you have a 14 inch computer this is perfect. I ordered this backpack from Amazon brand new. I love this backpack! Everything fits. There are many compartments. Unlike my old backpack, a Targus, everything gets strapped in with this backpack. My belongings are not flying around, which is better for my electronics. This backpack has individual places for a phone, wallet, pens, MP3 player, my lunch, a water bottle, a camera, umbrella, keys, my computer (18" Alienware), and more. It's waterproof (some areas) and sturdy. The metal, leather, and straps make this by far the sturdiest backpack I have owned. Finally, there are multiple straps. This was a little difficult to get just right, but I have it down now. Everything feels great for my 4 ten-minute walks through campus each day and when I travel. Oh, BTW, I get comments everymwhere I use this thing. People are pretty impressed when they see it, which I think is kinda' fantastic!

Every once in a while it's worth giving an update to a review so here's one 1 1/2 years after purchasing this backpack I still LOVE this thing! If you're wondering whether the backpack gets old, your tastes change because it is a little extreme to the site, or whether it holds up...it does! I have used this thing every day for 1 1/2 years, in some pressure situations as I travel the world (the continents of South American, Africa, North America, Europe, and Asia have all experienced by bag in the 1 1/2 years I have owned it). I can't more highly recommend this bag. Great decision.

I bought two of these, one for me and one for my wife. We both ride motorcycles with very limited saddlebag space. Most of our rides are for pleasure so we don't find ourselves at a shopping location very often. But she is a woman so she does find things she would like to purchase when we are out and about. We each keep one of these little bags in our saddlebag for those instances and they work great for that. They are small when stored but hold an appreciable amount of items when needed. The backpacks seem fairly durable and are comfortable for the short duration that we wear them. I also like that the pouch that the stored bag folds into becomes a pocket when it's a backpack.

I love the size of this backpack, and it is very compact. However, it did not withstand daily use. After using it for a few months it developed a few small holes/rips. Great backpack just not durable enough for what I wanted it for. I still have it for occasional use, and it works great for that.

I've had this backpack for 4.5 years and have used it frequently. I've worn mine out, and I'm about to get another one.

This backpack is very compact when folded up into its own front pocket, but very roomy when expanded. It's GREAT for traveling. The pocket also handily fits my bird field guide, and I can reach behind me and pull it out, look something up, and then slip it back in the pocket.

-1 star for lack of sturdiness and durability. It's not good for carrying anything heavy. The seams are coming apart. Also, the nylon waterproofing stuff on the inside is flaking off, but nylon just does that, unfortunately.

I have used the back pack for about three weeks now and am pleased with it. The buttons are indeed a bit difficult to close at first, but one learns how to efficiently close them after a few times. It seems very sturdy so far, as I have carried many college textbooks along with an iPad in it and the straps have held strong. I would prefer the straps to have padding for a bit more comfort on my shoulders when I do have a lot of textbooks in the bag, but overall it is still comfortable. I also like that the inside is lined with non-absorbent material so I can wipe it with a damp cloth if needed and there is a small pocket on the inside for a small wallet or student IDs and other cards.

I love this backpack it looked like a charcoal gray when I received it even though it says black, but I prefer gray anyway so it works out fine. It has more than enough room, I just went camping to test it out and filled the backpack to capacity with room to spare. It's comfortable and affordable.

Although we love the back pack and the quality seems good, the color was not the khaki in the picture. The color was much more of a gray/taupe color with a more muddy brown color for the trim & straps. We decided to keep it because we needed an immediate replacement for a broken backpack and my daughter said the color wasn't bad, just not what the picture showed.

I rated this bag 4 stars, because I would like a bag this size to hold my iPad. Then, it would be a perfect 5 stars for me. It holds the gear I carry (Canon 7D without a battery grip attached, a Canon 50mm f/1.4, and a Canon 24-70mm f/2). Remember. It is meant to be a compact bag, so don't plan on carrying ancilliary items AND all of your lenses. However, If I just want to carry my camera gear, including a Canon 70-200 f/2.8L IS I, I can, but then I can only carry my keys and a small wallet by unzipping the divider that opens the internal area of the bag up to include the otherwise separate top compartment where you might carry a wallet, some nutrition bars, your keys, etc. There are still small side pockets to carry a microfiber cloth, polarizers, etc.

This bag just felt too rigid and uncomfortable on my back. And I wasn't trying to overfill the bag, either. And the idea of being able to change straps (sling to backpack to cross) sounds nice, but it just doesn't seem to work well and I found myself asking, "Is this really necessary." It's difficult to hide the second strap of trying sling mode. Also in sling mode, the strap cuts into my shoulder too much. I have had Lowepro Slingshot bags in the past, but I think I would not have liked this Kata bag even if I had never heard of Lowepro. I ended going with a similar Lowpro bag to the one I had previously, only an AW bag, with Rain Cover.

The Kata 3N1-11 has been a great day bag for my travels. I've had it now for about 2 or 3 months, and have used it on several day treks. For what I have been recently doing, my standard load has been my camera with two lenses and a flash. I just have to make sure I pick versatile lenses depending on what I expect to shoot that day. For example, if I know I won't need a flash, I can throw in another lens or two. There's still enough room for a book, notebook, snacks, water, filters, batteries, memory card, pens, and other small items. Perfect for a day of walking around as a tourist and hobby (beginner) photographer. The bag is easy and comfortable to use in all configurations, and I've tried them all. The D-ring has been handy to hang other items like the rain fly, lens cloth, and my point and shoot. Constructed out of high quality materials and made well. Provides outstanding protection for my camera equipment. I was so confident with the bag that when I was in a light rain a couple of days ago, I didn't bother to use the rain fly, and everything in the bag was well protected. To give you some perspective, I'm a career infantry Marine, so I've spent a lot of time evaluating the gear that I use and purchase.

I also bought this from the "used" section of Amazon, and it has far exceeded my expectations. This was my first time purchasing something used from Amazon, so I had no idea what to expect. It was listed as being in "good" condition as opposed to "new" or "very good," and I could not find any damage on it what so ever. It also came with the tags still on. I hope my future used purchases from Amazon are just as good of an experience as this one. I think I saved something crazy like 50% off the regular retail price.

Microsoft Edge Messenger Bag for 17.3" Laptops (Orange Trim)

I loved everything about this bag, for about 2 weeks. Then the material started to fray from the edge binding, any area that I used to capacity. First, was the water bottle holder. I only used a small bottle. Then I noticed the fraying, so I stopped using that pouch. A few weeks later, the fraying began on the main back panel around the corners; and from there it just got worse, so I returned it to the store. Too bad, I loved the front pouch perfect for MP3 player. This is a well designed, bag except for the quality of the construction.

I ordered this attractive laptop messenger bag intending to use it to port around my new HP dv7t 17" wide-screen laptop. Unfortunately I read the wrong dimensions the entire bag dimensions instead of the inner compartment dimensions which are listed separately. The inner compartment dimensions of this bag are: 15.5"(w) x 10"(d) x 1.75"(h). This falls considerably short of the dimensions of the dv7t laptop: 16.35"(w) x 10.8"(d) x 1.25"(h). So despite claiming that the bag fits most 17" laptops I had to return this bag.

In the short time I had this bag though I was impressed by the materials used to construct it. It feels very well made and despite my not being able to keep the bag I was confident that this messenger bag was up to the task of everyday use. The handle, strap and zippers felt sturdy and well attached. The inner cushioning is substantial and I felt that my laptop would survive bumps and drops inside this bag.

Looks wise what attracted me most to this bag was that it doesn't look too professional or too much like a grungy student laptop bag. The styling is nicely in-between and I would feel appropriate carting this bag into my workplace in a suit or in more casual environments.

One of my favorite features of this bag is the orange lining. The entire inner compartment of this bag is lined in orange making finding cords, jump drives, pens or anything else a cinch. For anyone who's owned a black-on-black laptop bag and struggled to find dark colored peripherals inside their bag this will be a nice feature.

I'm a bit disappointed that I won't be able to use this bag but otherwise would recommend it to anyone with a compatible laptop.

It's a really nice bag, but online it said it was for a 17.3 inch screen. I just bought a new Toshiba 17.3 inch screen laptop and it doesn't fit!! The tag on the bag says it fits "most 17 inch screens", so I think online it was kind of deceiving. Then there's another tag on the same bag that says the device should be 15.5 inches. I don't understand why this has become so confusing for the customer!

Shinza Zeroshock III 15-inch Widescreen Notebook Case

Zeroshock III 15-inch Widescreen Notebook CaseThis is the case my son wanted for his Macbook Pro. It is far less expensive than another I had steered him toward.

And, it clear why this is so.

It's really a "sleeve", not a case. I would only use this sleeve along with real padded case, or for temporary storage on a table or a desk.

The foam is a very thin and compressible layer, albeit eggshell waffled/patterned, and the bottom edge of the case has no foam protection at all, just plastic.

The protection this case affords is probably against slight knocks and rubbing which might mar a laptop. I don't believe that this sleeve would ever protect a laptop in an actual drop unless one were very fortunate.

The sleeve is entirely flexible and penetrable so nothing to protect it from being dangerously flexed or punctured if in a poorly padded backpack or dropped.

A Macbook Pro, 2012 model, does not fit well. It slides about as another reviewer indicated. A larger 15" laptop might fit better.

Compare, for example, a Mach 3 Composites carbon fiber case. Or a Moshi Codex. They are more expensive but you get what you pay for.

For the price I paid, $24, it's a nice enough sleeve, not "case", and the orange will make it very easy to find. But for thorough protection, I do not feel that it is adequate protection for an expensive laptop by itself.

Tried with both my older Macbook Pro 15" and the newer Unibody one, it has a few (~5) cm extra space with both, causing them to slide around considerably. If it were a little smaller/tighter, it'd be perfect. As it is, it allows the laptop way too much movement/sliding. On the plus side, it seems to be impact and water-resistant, for the occasional drizzle/splash, which is nice, but I wouldn't carry it around further without sticking it in an additional "laptop compartment" type bag. Due to its size, and texture (as well as the sliding problem mentioned above,) it's very difficult to carry without an extra bag/case to hold it in. By comparison, the older Brenthaven case I had fit like a glove and seemed to offer much better movement protection as a result of this, despite lacking the "memory foam" of this case. Too bad, since this case is so stylish and otherwise well-designed. Why ZS chose to not fit it to the Macbook Pro better is just odd and annoying. The outer pocket is also mostly useless except perhaps for a few sheets of paper, or occasionally cramming the AC adapter in, though there's no padding between the pocket and main case, so putting the heavy, angular AC brick in there negates much of the protection.

This case is thin, lightweight, and durable. I use it for my 15'' Macbook Pro, and it's kept the computer safe for nearly a year! What makes this case stand out from other sleeves (ex. neoprene or fabric) is the tough foam waves that line its inside. These waves seem to absorb shock and minimize movement. The case itself is very sturdy-when it opens, the flaps don't flop over. They stay straight. This is really more of a shell than a sleeve, but it's flexible and light.

I'm very satisfied with this, and will definitely purchase this again. My only issue is that orange does get dirty rather quickly, and it's extremely difficult to wash. I'll probably go with black next time.

I guess depending on your 'philosophy' on sleeves, you'll figure out whether this is the right choice for you or not. Do you think hard is better, or do you prefer thick and spongy? I went for the hard as I'll be carrying it inside a courier bag most of the time. To be honest, I don't know if the perfect sleeve does exist, one that is lightweight and offers 100% resistance to breakage. Anyhow I digress visually this sleeve looks great, but I couldn't care less about appearances: I just want straight protection for my laptop. This sleeve seems to do the job and while admittedly it's not getting tested due to a lack of big knocks, I really hope I never have to find out what its limitations are.

I love color. These are vibrant and will really pop on the luggage return and make our black luggage stand out, even from afar. The tags are quite large. The belt attachment is seems very sturdy. I haven't used them for travel yet, but expect they'll hold up for a very long time.

I also was able to purchase for about 25% less on Amazon, so I was quite happy! I bought the dog tag for my daughter's luggage to match the cute Britto wallet she got on our trip.

Received this as a gift, along with a set of red luggage. Huge tag and easy to spot at the airport. Looks great on my luggage. Durable.

Received this fullleather back-pack. Beautiful full leather bag exceeded my expectations! The Cafe color is a very deep and beautiful color. There are plenty of interior pocket's, as well as one zippered compartment on the outside front flap. A full size lap-top computer can fit within the interior of the backpack. The interior is padded specifically for a full-size lap-top computer. I was looking for a full-leather replacement bag for over-night trips, as well as everyday use for shopping, and carrying full day trip items.

This bag is the largest backpack I have come across, besides the David King & Co. Oversize Laptop Backpack, and I have looked at hundreds. This bag retails for about $600.00, so to get it for $200.00 is a steal. The leather is top quality and it looks great. Now, I can tell you this bag is slightly heavy at six pounds. I am 5'5" and 130 pounds, so what I did was buy some guitar cushion straps and I put them on the straps of the backpack, and I promise I don't feel a thing. I also had to make additional holes in the straps which was not complicated at all. It fits a 14" laptop perfectly within the space designed. A 17" fits as well, but the velcro strap will not go over the laptop unless you stretch it. With my laptop in the backpack, I was also able to fit a five pocket binder and three well sized textbooks. I would recommend to anyone looking to buy a great leather backpack and to anyone that wants to buy one backpack and never have to buy another one again.

This bag is exactly what I wanted and needed. It is large and roomy,, with a beautiful patina in the 'cafe' color. If you are petite, this may not be your first choice. It has room for both my laptops, all my accessories, books, and my lunch, with side pockets to handle much more. This is now my number one tech bag.
