I use this as my daughter's diaper bag. I can fit everything that she needs into this bag without having to carry anything else. I even put things I need in it so when we're shopping I am totally prepared.

SOLO Tech - 17.3" Laptop and iPad Backpack

Was a little TOO snug for the 17.3" laptop, so we had to return it. It seemed to be sturdily constructed and the blues were quite bright and colorful.

This is a very good large laptop backpack.

I was looking for a large backpack that would hold my books, laptop and my little lunch bag for the day, and it was this or the Targus XL Backpack. Well after looking at both I went for the cheaper one. So far I haven't regretted the decision. The size is slightly smaller than the Targus, and it does seem to be a little lower in the quality of material and build, but the comfort and compartments to me seem just a tiny bit better. I like Solo's large main compartment with the smaller nicknacks in the front compartment and the laptop compartment in the back.

The zippers seem to be well constructed with metal pulls, but the bag material on the bottom seems like it might be a bit flimsy and I suspect it will wear out quickly. The straps are nice and cushiony and the back padding is very comfortable.

So far it has been very good. I'll try and report back in a few months to tell you how it has held up.

Domke 700-J5C J-5XC Shoulder Bag (Black)

Pretty Good

This minimalistic bag is the perfect size for my needs. It fits my Nikon D5100 with 70-300mm zoom attached, a 35mm 1.8 and an 18-55mm (soon to be upgraded to a 16-85mm, which will also fit), plus a Canon S95 point and shoot, filters, memory cards, charger and spare battery. Not much room for anything else, besides a magazine and airline ticket/passport. I don't yet have a an external flash, but I think it might be a very tight to cram an SB900 into the bag along with the other stuff. Anyway, after hours of searching online, this was the one I found that best met my needs, mainly due to its size.

I wanted a bag that is as compact as possible with just enough room for the essentials, while being durable and providing decent protection for my gear. It's small enough to put into a larger backpack when I travel or need to carry more stuff, which allows for maximum flexibility. For me, this is ideal, because if I need to carry more than what this bag can hold, a backpack is much more comfortable. I plan to get the Lowepro CompuDay Photo 250 backpack and slip this Domke bag inside of it as a carry-on bag. Hopefully it'll work out well.

The entire inside of the bag (except for the the top) are lined with a padded fabric that the velcro-edged partitions will stick to, allowing for easy configuration. The front flap that covers the bag is secured by a large strip of velcro, and there's a zipper underneath to open the bag (which I leave unzippered when I'm in picture-taking mode). A second zipper opening at the bottom of the front panel allows for access to lenses or anything else at the bottom of the bag. There are two open pockets on the front panel, but they're fairly shallow (don't know why they didn't just extend the height of the pockets by a couple of inches to the top of the bag). There's also a flat open pocket on the back of the bag that is good for tickets/passport or a folded up newspaper or magazine.

Everything's well made and the quality of the "ballistic" nylon is top notch (though I wouldn't trust it as a bulletproof shield if you're traveling in Afghanistan). The strap appears to be made of heavy duty cotton/canvas webbing with anti-slip strips on the underside. The swivel hooks and plastic fittings are of high quality. I wanted a bag that is low key and doesn't look like a camera bag, and this fits the bill nicely. It looks like a non-descript shoulder bag. Some have complained about the large, red Domke logo on the front. On mine, the logo is dark green and is almost unnoticeable against the black bag. Looks like they've responded to customer suggestions on this. I like the new low-key logo, however it's easily removed, if desired, by picking loose the threads on the logo patch.

I was originally looking for a bag this size, but a little thicker so it could hold a netbook. I wasn't able to find one, but upon receiving this bag, I found the perfect solution the rings (to which the shoulder strap attaches) on my 10" netbook case just happen to line up perfectly with the rings on the Domke bag. I simply placing the netbook bag in back of the Domke, then attach the Domke shoulder strap to the rings on both bags. Works great and it feels as if they were a single unit.

How this bag could be improved:

The strap should have some kind of shoulder pad included. The strap alone, while well made, can get uncomfortable if carrying a full load for awhile. No doubt they're hoping you buy the add-on pad that Domke sells separately, which has mixed reviews. I'm going to look for another pad, instead of having to buy a complete new strap.

Small collapsible pockets on the sides would be good for a water bottle or other small items, though there is a loop on each side, to which a bottle holder can be attached w/ a carabiner. Small pockets on the inside of the top flap would also help.

For the bag's price, I think it's reasonable if some of these things were addressed. If this was done, I'd have given it 5 stars.

SugarBooger Zippie BackPack

I have bought two of these for my pre schooler and my kindergartener for the school year (the monster and the bug one). While very cute, I could tell right away that they weren't very sturdy to hold up to hard usage. Sure enough, after less than a week, my kindergartener's backpack's front zipper is broken. I have to replace that now, and I'm sure it's just a matter of time before the pre schooler's backpack dies too. So, save yourself the money. It would be nice if there were cuter options in sturdier backpacks, but having one last less than a week is just unacceptable.

Great backpack. Perfect size for kindergarten or early elementary. Fits school folders, a lunch bag, and school supplies well. It appears to be well made and simple to use with only a large zip pocket on front.

The plastic is thin and flimsy and the zipper at the top constantly keeps getting stuck. It is a large backpack can carry lunch box other things easily.

This is SO great for me! I LOVE all the compartments. I used to have a separate tote for my jewelry to keep it safe. There are two small zippered pouches I use for that now. There are pockets at each end for a chargeable tooth brush or shaver or other bigger things. I just find it well designed for all the things I carry!

I was expecting something smaller, but it was larger than expected which is not bad at all! It is a sturdy case that holds all my toiletries. There are three zippers and three sections. It's a good case and I bought it to replace my old toiletry bag, and I was not disappointed.

While it is much small than the one I had before I find that it actually fits my needs better. Instead of carrying everything including the kitchen sink I now carry only what is necessary. I have used it several months now and it works wonderfully. My most favorite part is the slide out hook that swivels and rotates so it can be hung anywhere.

I use this as a diaper bag/purse. I have two daughters and I feel everything I need for an outing fits perfect. I love using a messanger bag as a diaper bag because my hands are usually quite full with children and normal diaper bags tend to fall off my shoulder or get in the way of hand holding. I have gotten a ton of compliments on this! Its very strong and sturdy and has lots of space.

The Avengers "Triple Force" Backpack

I can not tell you how disappointed I am with this product. I came in today and within minutes of opening it I noticed stains on the back and straps of backpack. Looks like grease. I am going to try a Tide pen and pray it gets the stains out or I will send it back. This is for my nephews birthday and I refuse to give him something stained to take to school. This really sucks.

Purchased for our daughter for school and it has been a great backpack. She loved the color we liked the quality fabric, solid, sturdy zippers and good stitches overall for the entire backpack.

Cons: The fabric is quality, but it did show dirt/grime relatively easy and it didn't wash up very well.

Overall impressions though it was a great backpack and one that did its job well.

This brand has held up very well for my children but the time finally came to replace one of them. Great color, perfect size and the padding on the straps ensures no sore shoulders. My daughter loves the zippered pocket on the shoulder strap that she can fit her ipod in. Good buy again!

I had to switch from my beautiful red leather laptop bag to a backpack due to back and shoulder problems. I wasn't supposed to carry a bag on one shoulder anymore. I went searching for a backpack I could transport my laptop in to and from work. I wanted something not childish, but colorful. I thought about a leather backpack but in the end I settled on this bag. I'm glad I did! The straps are very soft and thick so they don't hurt my shoulders. The part that's up against my back has padding. Every backpack I had in college and high school, my laptop or books would dig into my lower back and it hurt. Not the case with this bag!

In addition to being VERY comfy and easy to use, it also has several pockets. Great for storing my books and my clutch purse and my water bottles. I love this bag and I'm very happy with my purchase.

MadPax Luggage Spiketus Rex Later Gator Halfpack Bag

If you look up the product description on madpax.com, it explicitly says that this backpack as a "bonus feature" holds an iPad. From that I assumed there was a compartment to keep my expensive piece of technology safe, but that's not the case. The inside of this bag is a void with one small zipper compartment just big enoug to hold a wallet and a phone at the same time. Aside from this misnomer, the bag is very cute, just big enough to hold one standard sized text book, an iPad, and a mamilla folder all at once, and very stylish. Overall, I like it. I just wish I'd known the drawbacks before spending over $50 on it.

Bought this for my grandson. Best price at Amazon with best delivery time. Well made product that my grandson thought was just hilarious. Since he's 3 years old and totally absorbed with dinosaurs, this was a perfect "fit".

Very good quality. The straps are nicely padded and the texture of the dinosaur "skin" is very life like. Only a small zip pocket is inside but I have make-up bags that I keep all my small belongings in so I don't really need pockets. My nephews (3, 4 & 5 years old) all loved it and wanted one but I bought this for myself :) Great for anyone who is either a kid at heart or an actual child. Good bag, exactly as measured -it's a medium sized bag that can fit a towel, sneakers, your clothes, etc. I use it to go the gym every morning (so it has to carry all my stuff), and it also fits into the top shelf of the locker. There isn't any lining inside, and there are no extra pockets except for the main compartment and the side compartment. Good price for the product, and the color is nice as well.

I use this for a gym bag. It is roomy and fits several shirts, shorts, and socks plus my sweatshirt. It is narrow enough to hang in the Planet Fitness lockers. I like the accessory pocket so I don't have to dig through the bag. The padded shoulder strap is very comfortable. I can carry my shoes on the flat top. The pattern is beautiful and I will probably use it as a carry-on item when flying.

If you think the bag is like the photo, you're wrong. It does not reflect the product at all. The material is very thin. It hasn't a solid structure. The hooks are cheap plastic. The only pretty thing is the pattern design. I live abroad, if I had the chance, I would have returned it. It's been a waste of money.

This product definitely protects the laptop and is well padded, but it is by NO means a laptop "sleeve". It is not very snug in there and there is plenty more room on the exterior of the laptop, making it not ideal to use this within another case or backpack (which is what I bought it for).

I rated it poorly because in addition to it definitely not being a sleeve, it is not custom for the Y580 or Y570 even, only 16ish inch laptops in general.

I was an extremely big disappointment when finally getting it.

Piazza Torino Backpack

I bought the Crossbody bag and the Backpack, both in Terra Cotta and I don't know which I like better. I love them both. They are beautifully made-I have not found a loose or crooked stitch in either bag. I have paid more for designer bags that weren't made this nice. In the picture you can see tags on the zippers, each one of these and one inside were carefully wrapped for shipping, which shows the attention to detail that is used. There is also a cloth bag that comes with the bag that is for storage. These bags are truly impressive.

Updated 04/18/13-I was out eating pizza and had my Terra Cotta purse with me and some sauce fell. Luckily it did not hit my purse but was scary for a second there, it definitely would have stained my new bag. I came back and bought a Black backpack for everyday use. I wish they had a red one too. Love it!

I'm a mom of 3, love the function of a backpack purse, but not always the "look". This one is great! The leather is incredibly soft, and the inside of the bag is roomier than it lets on. I can fit my big ole long wallet, camera, sunnies, lotion, with room to spare. I could fit a paperback book or kindle in there, as well. The zipper pockets are all pretty deep, but not deep enough on the front for my iphone 5. It sits nicely on my back and shoulders without drooping. The lining is cream with brown design, so easy to see things inside compared to a dark lining. The only downside is that the leather is so soft on the sides/bottom that it "slouches" when you set it down on the floor. But overall, very impressed with the lovely construction of the bag!

Have been using this for a week and am very happy. Just the right size (medium in size compared to others I have used). Absolutely love the way it sits on my back and straps are perfect length (am 5'6" with average frame). Also hangs from shoulder very nice. This is a great product but do not believe the sizing information. My 12" x 10.5" HP tx2000 barely fits and I have to force the zipper. If I had known, I likely would have gone up a size. I'm am keeping and using the 12" in hopes it will eventually stretch to fit.

The color of the item as shown on amazon was different than what Adorama sent me. I ordered the laptop sleeve in Stripe, but Adorama sent me Soho Stripe. Even the shapes and sizes of the stripes are different. The item I wanted and thought I was ordering had bright colors (such as purple, red, orange, pink), whereas the item I actually received had darker, less bright colors (such as brown, dark green, tan). I asked them to resolve the problem, but they said they sent the correct color. But clearly, what they sent me was NOT the same color I actually ordered. They said I could send it back for a partial refund. So I would have lost money for something that was not my fault. I had to contact amazon directly to get full refund. BEWARE of ordering from Adorama; get from different seller who will send the correct color. Notwithstanding my problem with Adorama, the sleeve would have fit my 13" Macbook Pro laptop perfectly.

Actually I hadn't known the brand, Dakine until I found its lovely some items on Amazon. Now Dakine is my favorite brand. I am so satisfied with my backpack. It's very convenient to carry and its design is pretty good. Also the price is quite reasonable.

20L is the PERFECT size if you are looking to carry a few personal items, pens, pencils, lunch, water, and laptop. This bag isn't good if you need to carry books, notebooks, and lots of paper, but I type all of my notes anyway.

The designs on these bags are very cute. Because of their small size and good weight distribution, I no longer have issues keeping good posture with my backpack.
