This would be an awesome backpack, if I were taller. I am 5'5", so it covers from my neck to the the bottom of my bum.

BUT, I played around with it when it came in today, configuring the inside to fit 2 Canon digital SLR bodies, 4 lenses, external flash, 2 battery packs, all of the cords I need, a dozen batteries for the flash, manuals for 2 cameras and a flash, a set of 10 Cokin filters (from back in the day), cleaning cloths, spare memory cards, etc. It all fit with plenty of room to spare.

The bag was definitely quality as are all Dakine backpacks I've bought (3 total). It was just too big. If you're 5'8" or taller, I think you will like this pack.

Solid and very durable feeling. Plenty of space and some nice and well thought out storage compartments! I wish it had a few smaller specific pockets for things like SD or CF cards but that is a very nitpicky complaint! The method to securing a tripod is a little bit complicated as well. Overall I am quite pleased with this bag!

Wanderer Backpack - Guaranteed For Life & Made in USA

I have had one of these for fifteen years and it's still good! It is actually bigger than I need. It can get wet. I mostly use mine for a shopping bag, but on the rare occasion I get to go some place it hols all my over night stuff. If I had kids in school this would be there backpack for life. I'm seriouse most of the packs kids have in high school are too small and they are crappy and fall apart by the end of the year. Duluth packs save money because they take an extreamly long time to wear out.

I've been traveling for close 10 years now and have been to and lived in nearly all places of the world (minus Australia and South America) and this is a damn good bag for traveling.

I can pack in this bag everything I need for one season of traveling. The main compartment can hold: 2 pairs of pants, 7 shirts, 3 sweaters, 7 pairs of socks, underwear and a-shirts, my toiletry kit, 3-5 books (depending on the size of them), a pair of sandals (to stiffen the back of the pack) and a travel towel. The two side compartments hold my notebooks and electronics, while the front one holds my work notebook and snacks. All of this and still able to have it as a carry-on that is smaller than suitcases made for being a carry-on.

The fabric is durable and the fact that it's not stiff makes it convert from a travel pack to a day pack. it also makes it a decent pillow for temporary layovers.

Day Hiking with this bag isn't bad, but you might need to modify the bag for longer hikes.

I got the OD Green, but it's not like the kind I was used to when I was in the Marines.

Speaking of the Marines, for those military types, this is like a medium Alice pack.

I liked that all of my items are easily accessible in a compact medium sized backpack.

There are 4 compartments:

1) I use the main large compartment to carry a camping hammock, tent footprint, bivy bag, running shoes, shower shoes, documents, swim trunks, light running shirt, scarf, thermal shirt, 3 pairs of socks and underwear, toothbrush, toothpaste, hand wipes, pocket stove and small can of cooking fuel, spork, and 7 days of food.

2) I use the back outer pocket to carry a map and compass, small first aid kit, thermal blanket, cell phone and charger, and eye glass case.

3 & 4) I use the 2 side pockets for 2 Nalgene 32 OZ bottles and 1 tin cup fitted with one of the bottles.

I also like the rugged feel of the backpack.

I liked that this backpack was delivered to me very fast.

I do not like the lack of padding for my back. Its just canvas. I use my running shoes and shower shoes to provide some kind of padding.

I bought this to protect my 14" Sony Vaio from scratching in my backpack. When I received the product, it is actually too small for my laptop. I scrolled down and looked at the product description a bit more carefully and realized that its interior dimensions were only 13.5x10x1 inch, so it may not fit all 14" laptops. The product itself is good quality and very stylish. I didn't notice any bad smells either. Just make sure your computer is smaller than 14 inches or very thin.

I bought this bag in black. My husband can use it and not feel weird. Wearing it as a backpack is so comfortable. Also, I can handle my baby easier with a bag on my back and not on my shoulder. Hanging it on the stoller is great. Have not tried using it as a messenger bag. Holds everything I need in place so I don't have to dig around for things. Material is soft and waterproof. I put a sippy cup in the top pocket. The sippy cup leaked and the pocket was full of water but it did not soak through to any other part of the bag. I turned the bag upside down and poured the water out. After 15 minutes the pocket was completely dry. I was amazed. GREAT bag. Will be the gift I give people now when they are having a baby.

I have been using this as a diaper bag backpack for 9 months. I love it because I have to kids under 2 and there is plenty of space for all of their things. The only thing I would like to see different would be a spot for sippy cups/bottles/water bottles on the outside of the bag. Other than that, love it. It still looks great after 9 months of daily use.

Initially I was thrilled with the bag in particular the different straps enabeling you to hang / carry the bag in various ways. However, once I came to use the bag it became a real "faff" to get things out of the main compartment. When you unzip the bag the front flops down to act as the changing mat (great) but all your stuff is behind a mesh compartment with a zip 3/4 of the way down it. I just found this a pain when you just wanted to get stuff out quickly or from the bottom of your pile (of a million and one things you have to carry about with a baby) due to the zip not being at the top. Other than that it was a very well made bag and I liked the compartment at the top which I used for phone and wallet when hung on my stroller. I'm sad to say though I have exchanged for a smaller, simpler diaper bag with no faffy mesh inner.

Booq Python Pack for DSLR, 4 Lenses, Tripod, Tablet, 13-15 Macbook, Gray

First, I'd like to say that this is hands down the most well crafted backpack that I've ever owned. It's rigid but still has enough give to be very comfortable. That being said, it's a photographers backpack and nothing more. If you're thinking that you can use this as a daypack or multipurpose backpack, you're sadly mistaken.

Pros:

Rigid structure, ridiculous amount of pockets, water proof covering, comfortable straps/backpadding, and well balanced.

Cons:

Bulky, lack of functional flexibility, loses some comfort when both Laptop compartment and Tablet compartment are in use.

All in all, it's an amazing product if you're looking for a dedicated photography backpack.

I got this version over the pro model because its a bit smaller. It is small. It fits my nikon d50, 70-210 lens and some filters in the bottom pocket just fine. The top large compartment has ample space for flashes, a sweater, or lunch, what ever you may need on a given day hike. And the top soft compartment for your phone and wallet is very nice. The rain bag that hides away in the bottom is nice, but should have a better way to tighten it onto the bag. It was pulled off fairly easily by passing sticks and bushes when we were passing through them in the rain. A little frustrating but a very minor problem. The compartment for the hydration pack has room enough for my 3 L camelbak bladder, which is very nice.

I went hiking along a shore, a HUGE wave slammed us, though I was able to hold onto the rocks just fine, I was certain my camera had gone to expensive gear heaven. Much to my pleasure the construction of this bag and its water resistance kept my camera and lenses in pristine shape. Instantly worth every penny. Now if I could only find my slippers that were swept away in the wave.

Overall, this pack is great. It's about the same size as my camelback MULE and will accept the 100 oz reservoir from my camelback. The pack fits nicely and is comfortable to mountain bike or hike with all day long. The camera compartment is big enough to hold my Canon T2i with 24-105 lens attached and the hood reversed or removed. Any lens bigger will not comfortably fit. Side pockets hold the cases, filters, and other odds and ends (e.g. extra batteries, memory cards). The upper pouches contain enough room for some food, a spare tube, essential mountain biking tools, and a lightweight jacket.

My gripe:

The camera compartment contains a zipper, allowing you to unzip the divider which separates the lower camera compartment from the upper compartment. When the divider is unzipped, you have a pack with one large compartment. However, when the compartment is zipped, as I always keep it, the natural place for the zipper handle is right beneath the battery pack of my camera! There is NO cloth sleeve for the zipper handle. No matter how I arrange the camera in the compartment, the metal zipper handle would be able to rub up against the camera body not something to be ignored if you're going to be hiking or biking with this pack on. I wrapped a thick piece of fabric around the zipper handle to protect my camera body, but for this pack's price and photo-specific purpose, I feel I shouldn't have to do this. Fortunately, the rest of the camera compartment is well thought out.

There have been enough reviews of this backpack that I don't need to add much, but to say it's heavier than the Tenba and a few shades darker than the photo leads you to think. I'm carrying a D90, SB600 flash, 55-300mm f3.5-5.6, 17-50mm f2.8, and 35mm prime lenses, plus a few little accessories and sometimes monoor tri-pod to outdoor events and on walks through woods. Although there is room, I appreciate the way it's organized (it's smart to have side access and to compartmentalize top from bottom), and like the comfort (it has a curved back and well padded straps), I believe I'll need to exchange this pack for one that is lighter in weight and color. When the sun beats down on your pack from March to November, you realize pretty quickly that you have to have light tan! Hope this review was helpful!

I primarily will use this for hikes 4 hours or less. Took this out for the first time yesterday, and was very impressed. My camera kit fits nicely, is secure, and easy to access (though it is a smaller kit as I have a Sony Nex 5), and there are plenty of pockets/space for everything a hiker needs to bring along. I am really size conscious with pack's, and love all of the thought that went into designing a high end camera/activity pack. There are more pockets to store stuff in than the images of this product lead on...

The reasons this didn't get 5 stars:

-The hydration pack compartment seems like an afterthought. Both 100 & 70 ounce camelbak's fit, but it's not as seamless, which one would expect in a hybrid pack. I actually bought a 70 ounce osprey bladder specifically for this pack as those bladders have a rigid, contoured back to them. With this pack you really feel the camelbak on your back more than other, hiking specific packs because the fit is so tight.

-The verdict is still out on comfort. This definitely felt 'different' while I was carrying it around. It may just take getting used to as I have used camelbak packs for years, but my upper back felt a bit uncomfortable and was a little sore after the hike. Again, this could just be due to using a pack with different back padding then I'm used to, plus some extra weight. Also, I'm going to try hiking without a bladder next time to see if the bladder aids the discomfort.

-When stored in the backpack it does take a few seconds longer to access the camera than I would like. I have to quickly remover the sternum & torso straps, swing the pack over, and pull out the camera. Yes, this only takes 5 seconds...but I wish I could just reach over, unzip the compartment, and grab the camera.

I did a lot of research on different hiking backpacks, and with this product it seems like with a few minor adjustments this pack will be unbeatable. But Clik Elite came close!

I've been looking for a day hike pack, the main purpose of which would be to protect my DSLR gear. My Canon T1i with the 18-55 attached, the 55-250 telescopic, and 55mm fixed (small lens) were crammed in there. I felt like the camera body was going to get scratched every time I put it in/took it out. I also couldn't configure it to a point where I didn't feel that the camera body was going to just fall out when I unzipped without it being very difficult to get out of the bag. The other complaint I had was that the water sleeve pocket with padding (the part that would be flush against your back) was very hard and curved in toward my back, making it very uncomfortable on my upper back. I may have a somewhat bony back, but it would have taken a lot softer padding to make it comfortable. So it's going back.. and my search continues.

I ordered this for my husband as a small "bug-out" bag and he loves it!!

His previous bag was far to large and weighed to much even empty, so we began looking for something else.

We were very surprised at the number of pockets and compartments that this bag has to offer! It holds a ton of supplies!

Back compartment has one zipper area and one mesh, middle compartment has a mesh and a cloth pocket-minus a zipper, the front lower one has several small pockets for pens, lights, tools, lighter starters, surgical scissors, and many many other things. In this one bag I can hold everything needed to survive for a week. This includes emergency blankets, tents, sleeping bag, bug off, toothbrush (&paste), deodorant, duck-tape, multi-tool, flashlight, batteries, first-aid kit galore, compass, poncho, lightsticks, wire, paracord 50ft, water purification tablets and filtration, canteen, shave kit, fishing supplies, flares, more medical supplies, 100 rounds of 45 shells, 45 glock, dried food, binoculars, energy bars, and several other things I'm sure I forgot. This is of a maneuverable size and weight. Highly recommend!!

I bought this because of it's smaller size and it does not scream military. It looks like a simple black backpack with a military flavor. While it appears to have been made in China, I can't complain about the quality. I've intentionally abused it without any problems. It makes a great weekend bag or smallish bug-out-bag. I'm loading it with equipment and taking short hikes to help me lose weight and to give me an idea on what I need for a real hike through the mountains. I'm guessing it holds about 1600 cubic inches which is more than enough for a minimalist hiker. The top outside pocket fits my 600ml cook kit perfectly and the large pocket holds my hammock, tarp and sleeping bag with a little bit of room to spare. The middle pocket would easily hold a change of lightweight clothes and the larger outside pocket holds a small water filter with plenty of room left over for other items.

The molle design allows you to attach accessory pouches to the pack. I chose to add a couple of army canteens, but I found that I needed a tie-down strap to secure them in place, otherwise they would move back and forth as I walked causing me problems as they shifted. Once strapped down, the extra 5 pounds of water and bottles rode very well. My loaded pack weighs in at about 20 pounds and it rides very well on my back.

The belt does help, but it really is a minimalist style belt. It appears to be almost a design afterthought.

My only complaint is that I found the exact same pack at a local surplus store for less (where I bought the canteens).

I ordered this bag based on the reviews, everyone seemed to like it, as well as do I. The Bag itself is a great bag compatiable with the Molle System, and will hold plenty of items. The bag however is about half the size that it appears in the picture. It looks more like a kids bag. But I have not had any problems with the bag so far. Its probably gonna be a great 2day pack but no more.

I use it for my small laptop and take it to work everyday, so although it gets used everyday, it would say it's lite use. About a month ago, one of the plastic straps broke. Then today the entire side of the bag (top to bottom) ripped open.

Anyone who has traveled by air in the last 10 years knows you have to put everything you'll need in a carry-on measuring 22x14x9". Gregory claims it's a "carry-on sized bag". Its dimensions are close and the cinch straps lead you to believe it will compress to qualify. It won't! The bottom is rigid at 12.5 x 14"

Most carry-ons have wheels and a telescoping handle which reduce the interior height from 8.5" to a mere 6.5". That's a loss of at least a pair of pants and 3 shirts!

Gregory saw the light and moved the handle rods to the outside in an attempt to regain 23.5% of the interior space. Good thought; poor execution! Gregory angled the handle rods to balance the bag on the wheels which reduced the entire 13.5" interior width dimension to just 11.5". Though a less reduction(15%)in overall usable space, folding your clothes to to a mere 11.5" is impossible.

The rest of the bag is absolute top quality. I hope Gregory sees the light again, removes the angle of the telescoping rods, and shortens the bottom to truly qualify as a carry-on. If and when that happens . . . this will be the most sought after bag on earth!

Kathamandu Rice Bag Backpack

THis is a good sized (large), brightly colored, sturdy and unique backpack. The top of it also has a draw string closure, covered by a flap. It is very nice good-looking and unique and I love it!

Strangely enough, it also happens to smell good too. I think it's made out of burlap.

My backpack has become the running joke of all of my friends... so many people have told me how cute they think it is, because yeah, it is... but it has not stayed nice AT ALL. All of the buttons have fallen off and the straps have had to be sewn back on twice, and they are finally at the point where they can't be sewn anymore. The sides of the bag are so ripped and frayed because of the material it's made out of that it sheds even more than it used to on my clothes... I used this bag as a backpack for school, and it did not hold up at all. Maybe it's best just to use this bag for little LITTLE things. It started falling apart within two weeks and by the second month, it looks like it went through a war zone.

My bag completely fell apart at the seams. there are no pockets inside. the buttons on the outside of my bag also fell off and i could not put anything in the outside pockets because they didn't close well enough. could have bought a better bag for cheaper. i did get lots of compliments on it though. ALSO... this bag gets lint everywhere. i could not wear black clothing because there would be lint everywhere.

My old luggage of 25 years finally had to be replaced. I was looking for new luggage and asked several stewardesses what they would recommend. This is one brand they suggested. It has a divider inside. It can be carried like luggage or wheeled. In addition it can be carried as a backpack, because of the back straps. There is a larger size, but when the expansion is employed by unzipping, I would be right at the weight limit for air travel, which is why i wanted the 26" size. Cheaper luggage is available, but lacks the quality the numerous options for carrying.

This pack accompanied a 21 yr old female student to Florence for school. According to her, it was extremely functional and well-designed. She is about 5-4 and sturdily-built; she had no problem hoisting it fully-loaded and carrying it as a backpack. Believe me, it was FULLY loaded..within 1 lb or so of the 50-lb limit, on return trip.

No new damage was noticed upon return but it mostly served a apt storage unit between the plane trips. Wheels and straps were sturdy.

Preface: I purchased 3 bags. This one, the 22-inch (smaller) version and the 32-inch (larger) version.

This bag in particular is too large to carry on, so I've checked it on a number of flights. I think you'd have to work pretty hard to go over 50 pounds worth of stuff in it, unless you like to travel with bricks or something. When I use it, its usually on midsize trips, 2-5 days or so, along with the carry-on 22 inch bag.

As far as the series AT-6 luggage in general, some reviewers have knocked it because its not a spinner type (4 independent wheels), and I'm not sure why, its pretty obvious its not. If that's what you're looking for, all I can tell you is that this luggage isn't what you're looking for.

All roll aboard luggage with the retractable handle like this takes up space inside and this bag is also no exception. There is a thin piece of material between the compartment and the telescope path which is flexible, so you could probably cram a few extra pairs of socks in if you plan ahead.

I have taken these bags on numerous trips since purchase and they're holding up very well, checked and as carry-on. I've not had any broken contents (knock on wood) in any case, nor have any parts or straps been torn or broken (knock on wood).

The built-in ID card holder is a really nice feature, protected from the elements and is attached by a piece of elastic so it can't simply fall out and be lost (spreading your personal information all over the airport). I don't use the backpack straps much, but on the smaller bag, they're comfortable. I find the this and the larger one too heavy to wear like that comfortably.

The only way I could suggest High Sierra make this series better (again, I'm not letting it detract from my rating because it is clear it doesn't have this feature) is to add a "daisy-chain" strap for easier towing of more than one piece. This is a light, easy to roll bag. It was loaded with 40 lbs for a 2 week trip. I tried the backpack straps once but it was a little too heavy for that. Three or four of the pull tabs ripped off. That's no so great after only one use. It could probably survive another four or five trips; which sadly is better than most these days.

I have the larger version of this bag and liked it so much, but you can easily over-pack and end up paying more money at the airport check in. My wife and I were going on a trip to the UK and they have even more strict weight regulations, so we bought this model (the 26 inch size) and were very happy. We didn't get charged any over-weight fees and we packed these bags up tight. I also like the wheels and the backpack which in the UK helps a lot because they aren't as efficient (i.e. lazy, haha)as us Americans and have more stairs.

This is a good quality leather purse. At first it was uncomfortable to carry because I was putting both straps on one arm, but then I learned to just use one strap and it sits much better and is comfortable to carry.

It is about 10 inches tall x 8 inches wide and the bottom is 4 inches deep and tapers at the top.

The straps are not padded as in real backpacks and are a bit narrow, but it's a purse, not a book bag so that's fine. They are maybe 3/4 of an inch wide and flat.

The pockets aren't very big, I guess that's my only problem with it. The front pocket is a bit shallow and the side pocket is long and narrow so unless you want to carry tampons or pens it's kind of useless.

Overall it's a very nice purse and I like it very much. It looks very nice.

This is the second one I have purchased in this color. The first one is still structurally sound after 10 years but it was getting worn looking and had some marks on it. I fully expect to have this one for a long time! I have the same bag in black and the larger on in dark brown. All are great. I love backpack purses as they leave my hands free and the weight is balanced on my shoulders. I highly recommend this bag.

I just got my backpack purse today and instantly liked it. As a petite person, the mini is a perfect size for me and my purse contents. Actually the mini backpack has much more space in it than my standard over-the-shoulder purse of approx the same dimensions and holds these items in a more organized fashion. They are also easy to access with the U-zip feature. The purse hangs easily and comfortably on my back. The purse does not have any offensive smell, other than a mild leather odor; odor was mentioned as a real problem in one review. I may update my review with use of the purse to see how it holds up over time.

Was looking for a standard sized Dora backpack for my Kindergartener. I was surprised at the quality of the backpack. The stitching of Dora and Boots decoration is very nice as I thought it was just going to be some plastic image like you normally see at the store. Love the water bottle compartment. Zeroshock III 14-inch Notebook Case

I've looked around for a lot of cases to fit my Lenovo T410 w\ 9 cell battery and found most to either be too big or too tight (because the 9 cell battery sticks out of the back). I checked out the Zeroshock III based on recommendations from Lenovo forums and discovered that this case fits the laptop perfectly! The padding on the inside is memory foam very dense and very protective. The outside of the case is rubber-like; I didn't like it at first but now I realize that it's semi-waterproof perfect for keeping the laptop safe if you accidentally spill something on it or have to carry the case in the rain so I can live with it. Although it's not advertised as such, I've sent the case (with laptop inside) through airport scanners and TSA didn't have a problem with it.

I wanted something that'll fit in my backpack so I can carry my laptop around and this was the perfect product for me. Its padded nicely on the inside and easy to open and close. I would purchase this again if I had to.

This case fits my Lenovo Y480 perfectly (with the wireless antenna), and it opens fully/flat, which is more convenient than a slide-in sleeve. The egg-crate padding is thick enough to protect the laptop but is still light weight. I'm quite satisfied.

I bought this case for my Lenovo T410 w/ 9cell battery. As other reviews have mentioned, it fits this model perfectly. The case offers excellent protection with an eggcrate style foam lining, and reinforced edges to protect against drops. The price of all this protection is a little extra bulk I was overly optimistic in estimating the size of the case compared to my current laptop bag, so it's a very snug fit. All things considered, it's an excellent case, and is leaps and bounds above the cheap neoprene cases offered by most OEMs.

DAKINE Girl's Garden Pack

Overall, I think this is an awesome backpack. It's very durable, and the pockets are conveniently placed. It's great if you don't carry around a lot of books, and it doesn't fall over when you set it up against a desk like most other backpacks do. I purchased one 2 years ago and have been using it ever since.

-Expands 6 inches... at most. (literally it dosent expand any farther than that)

I would NOT recommend this backpack to people who are going to be carrying a lot of books around. It's about the size of a Jansport backpack, so if you think those are small, I would not recommend this as the backpack for you.

I was fed up using and wearing purses when I hit Amazon to look for a cute everyday backpack. I hate carrying a purse on one shoulder and never having enough room to carry around all of my stuff. This backpack is cute but not huge. The last thing I wanted was to look like a highschool kid carrying around an enormous backpack. This is big enough for all of my stuff but cute, slim, and stylist enough that I still feel like an adult carrying it. I love all the small pockets and the side pockets. The back is padded nicely and the straps are very comfortable.

Its a lot better than my previous back pack and equally distributes weight to avoid back pain. Its also very cute although a lot more purple than displayed in the picture. Only problem is that I can't fit more than one text book in it and if I put a text book and my laptop its pretty crowed. It works for me because I leave my text books at home anyways but if you're one of those people who is going to need to carry multiple text books... good luck.

I purchased this bag because I just got a laptop, and I wanted to get a laptop case and a backpack in one! The only problem is, I have a pretty large laptop, so it doesn't fit in the designated space, but it does fit in the main backpack pocket! It is kinda small but the measurements are in the desciption so I don't think people should've given bad reviews because of that.

This is SO great for me! I LOVE all the compartments. I used to have a separate tote for my jewelry to keep it safe. There are two small zippered pouches I use for that now.
