Kathamandu Rice Bag Backpack

THis is a good sized (large), brightly colored, sturdy and unique backpack. The top of it also has a draw string closure, covered by a flap. It is very nice good-looking and unique and I love it!

Strangely enough, it also happens to smell good too. I think it's made out of burlap.

My backpack has become the running joke of all of my friends... so many people have told me how cute they think it is, because yeah, it is... but it has not stayed nice AT ALL. All of the buttons have fallen off and the straps have had to be sewn back on twice, and they are finally at the point where they can't be sewn anymore. The sides of the bag are so ripped and frayed because of the material it's made out of that it sheds even more than it used to on my clothes... I used this bag as a backpack for school, and it did not hold up at all. Maybe it's best just to use this bag for little LITTLE things. It started falling apart within two weeks and by the second month, it looks like it went through a war zone.

My bag completely fell apart at the seams. there are no pockets inside. the buttons on the outside of my bag also fell off and i could not put anything in the outside pockets because they didn't close well enough. could have bought a better bag for cheaper. i did get lots of compliments on it though. ALSO... this bag gets lint everywhere. i could not wear black clothing because there would be lint everywhere.

i loved the looks of this backpack but if you are looking for storage it isnt too good. and also after using it for half a year it started to get shredded up. otherwise if you want a bag to take to the beach or a sleep over or something (not day to day) i found it to be good!
