The shipping ended up being faster than Amazon said. I ordered on the 8th and received on the 17th so not too bad. When Amazon said it would arrive on the 30th I thought that was ridiculous. The backpack looks well made and will hopefully last my little guys Kindergarten year. The description did say that the backpack came with a "removable cape" and there was no such cape to be found. My son was pretty excited about this aspect and disappointed that there was not one.Want Batman 16 Inch Backpack with Padded Chest Plate - Black Discount?
This pack is perfect for the schizophrenic child who believes he needs armored back-abs to fight crime while walking backwards at night. Or, perhaps, a special gift for that little Bane fan who likes to pretend he's toting the disembodied torso of Gotham City's dark hero. For everyone else, this product is a bit of a freakshow item. But if your aim is to cause uneasy titillation at a birthday party and tick off the birthday child's mom, this is perfect!
ETA: I'm sorry that this review is apparently not well liked by purchasers of the item. Still, it is EXTREMELY strange to create a child's product that will make it seem like they have a disembodied torso on their back. I've shown this item to many people now, and all have agreed it is weird, and not in a fun, whimsical way.

Clik Elite Compact Sport Camera Backpack
I went hiking along a shore, a HUGE wave slammed us, though I was able to hold onto the rocks just fine, I was certain my camera had gone to expensive gear heaven. Much to my pleasure the construction of this bag and its water resistance kept my camera and lenses in pristine shape. Instantly worth every penny. Now if I could only find my slippers that were swept away in the wave.Overall, this pack is great. It's about the same size as my camelback MULE and will accept the 100 oz reservoir from my camelback. The pack fits nicely and is comfortable to mountain bike or hike with all day long. The camera compartment is big enough to hold my Canon T2i with 24-105 lens attached and the hood reversed or removed. Any lens bigger will not comfortably fit. Side pockets hold the cases, filters, and other odds and ends (e.g. extra batteries, memory cards). The upper pouches contain enough room for some food, a spare tube, essential mountain biking tools, and a lightweight jacket.
My gripe:
The camera compartment contains a zipper, allowing you to unzip the divider which separates the lower camera compartment from the upper compartment. When the divider is unzipped, you have a pack with one large compartment. However, when the compartment is zipped, as I always keep it, the natural place for the zipper handle is right beneath the battery pack of my camera! There is NO cloth sleeve for the zipper handle. No matter how I arrange the camera in the compartment, the metal zipper handle would be able to rub up against the camera body not something to be ignored if you're going to be hiking or biking with this pack on. I wrapped a thick piece of fabric around the zipper handle to protect my camera body, but for this pack's price and photo-specific purpose, I feel I shouldn't have to do this. Fortunately, the rest of the camera compartment is well thought out.

There have been enough reviews of this backpack that I don't need to add much, but to say it's heavier than the Tenba and a few shades darker than the photo leads you to think. I'm carrying a D90, SB600 flash, 55-300mm f3.5-5.6, 17-50mm f2.8, and 35mm prime lenses, plus a few little accessories and sometimes monoor tri-pod to outdoor events and on walks through woods. Although there is room, I appreciate the way it's organized (it's smart to have side access and to compartmentalize top from bottom), and like the comfort (it has a curved back and well padded straps), I believe I'll need to exchange this pack for one that is lighter in weight and color. When the sun beats down on your pack from March to November, you realize pretty quickly that you have to have light tan! Hope this review was helpful!Read Best Reviews of Clik Elite Compact Sport Camera Backpack Here
I primarily will use this for hikes 4 hours or less. Took this out for the first time yesterday, and was very impressed. My camera kit fits nicely, is secure, and easy to access (though it is a smaller kit as I have a Sony Nex 5), and there are plenty of pockets/space for everything a hiker needs to bring along. I am really size conscious with pack's, and love all of the thought that went into designing a high end camera/activity pack. There are more pockets to store stuff in than the images of this product lead on...The reasons this didn't get 5 stars:
-The hydration pack compartment seems like an afterthought. Both 100 & 70 ounce camelbak's fit, but it's not as seamless, which one would expect in a hybrid pack. I actually bought a 70 ounce osprey bladder specifically for this pack as those bladders have a rigid, contoured back to them. With this pack you really feel the camelbak on your back more than other, hiking specific packs because the fit is so tight.
-The verdict is still out on comfort. This definitely felt 'different' while I was carrying it around. It may just take getting used to as I have used camelbak packs for years, but my upper back felt a bit uncomfortable and was a little sore after the hike. Again, this could just be due to using a pack with different back padding then I'm used to, plus some extra weight. Also, I'm going to try hiking without a bladder next time to see if the bladder aids the discomfort.
-When stored in the backpack it does take a few seconds longer to access the camera than I would like. I have to quickly remover the sternum & torso straps, swing the pack over, and pull out the camera. Yes, this only takes 5 seconds...but I wish I could just reach over, unzip the compartment, and grab the camera.
I did a lot of research on different hiking backpacks, and with this product it seems like with a few minor adjustments this pack will be unbeatable. But Clik Elite came close!I've been looking for a day hike pack, the main purpose of which would be to protect my DSLR gear. My Canon T1i with the 18-55 attached, the 55-250 telescopic, and 55mm fixed (small lens) were crammed in there. I felt like the camera body was going to get scratched every time I put it in/took it out. I also couldn't configure it to a point where I didn't feel that the camera body was going to just fall out when I unzipped without it being very difficult to get out of the bag. The other complaint I had was that the water sleeve pocket with padding (the part that would be flush against your back) was very hard and curved in toward my back, making it very uncomfortable on my upper back. I may have a somewhat bony back, but it would have taken a lot softer padding to make it comfortable. So it's going back.. and my search continues.

Osprey Packs Poco - Premium Child Carrier
I ultimately returned all four of them because the belts were all too wide for me. I am 5ft, 100lbs and the belts hit both my ribcage and hips at the same time, making them impossible to tighten for a good fit. I got bruises just trying them on for a few minutes. This entire process was a disappointment, and a huge waste of time spent reading reviews and making returns (they come in huge oversized boxes, and I don't have a car...). [Behavioral economists out there, you may be interested to know that while writing this review is increasing the cost of this transaction to me, it is actually making it slightly more rewarding as I hope for it to be useful to other parents.]
For many of you with larger frames (i.e. longer waste lines), I would recommend the Osprey by far. It is extremely well made with great attention to detail. The kickstand is nicely hidden in the fabric, and easy to open and close. When it is open, it provides a large extra storage compartment (it collapses when the kickstand is closed). It is much easier to load the baby into than the Kelty. The sunshade is the best by far on this backpack in terms of baby coverage and ease of use / withdrawal. The mechanism to adjust the backpack frame is extremely easy to use. It has stirrups for baby's feet. Very easy to load the baby in and out. In terms of practicality and attention to detail, Deuter would be my next pick (except it is way too big, and the sunshade does not come out far enough).
Note that the Kelty and Pathfinder are *voluminous*--their sheer size sent my husband, mother and me into hysterics. Even if you think you don't care what you look like walking around with one of these, the size of these may make you rethink. The Deuter is particularly gigantic--mostly because of its height.
Phil & Teds claims to be better looking, and I beg to differ (and design matters to me). While its size is very reasonable, it is very poorly conceived. The storage pockets are designed in such a way as to be useless; they won't hold much of anything. Your blood pressure will increase trying to put the sunshade in and out of its pocket. The baby harness alone is a reason not to buy it. It requires pulling the straps over the baby's head (a little bit like a T-shirt), and they are very thick and fleecy--it would be too hot for the baby on a warm day. I am not sure the part that goes under the baby's chin can even be removed to clean (if it can be, it's not easy).
Buy the Osprey if you are bigger than me, save yourself the hassle I put myself through.... And if any small people out there have found a backpack that works for them, I would love to hear. After reading several reviews online, I went ahead and bought this (not from Amazon, although Amazon's price is more competitive). I just wanted to walk into a store to compare the premium against the pro model. In essence, they are pretty much the same, but the price difference isn't too much (if you're already planning on spending all that money on a backpack anyway). I really liked the few added features of the premium over the pro. I had to visit the manufacturer's website to know what they were, but basically, I think it comes down to the baby changing mat and the detachable backpack, which is really where I think the difference is worth it. It is not a huge backpack, but it will add some much needed storage for light day hiking. I really love the quality and craftmanship: this is a sturdy unit, and held both my 15-month old daughter and 3-year-old son comfortably on my back. They both enjoyed it. They keep on asking me to take them for a ride. I would highly recommend this if you are planning on any walking/hiking with kids in toddler age or below. Remember they must be old enough to hold their head up alone (about 6 months?). Very good product.

At first I was hesitant to try this particular backpack, but after I used it a few times (hiking and walking downtown), I've come to really appreciate all the attention to detail!I'm a bigger guy (5'11, 215 lbs) and I had absolutely no problem adjusting the shoulder and waist straps to be comfortable. My 2 year old daughter was also delighted with the sunshade and the included stirrups. The baby seat adjusting is super convenient, and my wife (5'2, 125 lbs) was also able to adjust it to fit her comfortably within 30 seconds. Even though it probably isn't recommended, it was incredibly easy to hoist my daughter up on my back with no assistance from the wife.
We haven't used the included changing pad (it's in an inconvenient location), but the extra storage in the kickstand area in addition to the included day pack are excellent hideaways for snackies and toys.
There is a space for a bladder (which isn't included, btw), and I was pleased to see I could easily fit my Camelbak brand bladder in the pocket and not have to buy a special Osprey one. Overall, I've got nothing negative to say about this carrier!

I really wanted to add a review because this is a new product that just came out in Jan 2012, and there aren't too many reviews on Amazon for it yet. I looked at several different models and did quite a bit of research before purchasing this pack. I am really impressed with the quality of the product! I have only been on a few hikes and a couple of long walks, but so far this backpack is very comfortable. It is so easy to adjust and my little girl loves it. I went with the premium model since I didn't already own a osprey day pack, and because I thought the changing pad was a cool extra. It turns out the plus model would be fine, the detachable pack on the premium has only two pockets, one large, and one little pocket. You would be fine with the large storage space in the stand area. Just know that if you want to close the stand, the storage space that the open stand creates shrinks quite a bit. I just left the stand open and had no problems and I didn't have to remember to open it back up before taking the pack off. The changing pad is really thin and small and hard to access, so it is not a necessity. Other than that this is truly an awesome pack, and I am so glad I got it!My husband bought this for an extended vacation we took overseas -the backpack worked great for areas where we couldn't use a stroller. It was a great fit for both my husband and me (He has a slight male frame while I have a shorter smaller frame) and distributed our son's weight wonderfully. Continued use over a period of days didn't leave us with back or shoulder aches either. We loved that the outer backpack provided extra storage and there was also plenty of room in the area at the bottom of the bag. We do recommend however, that if you use this for cold weather hiking (like we did) that you bundle up our little one. We found that while the air venting on the sides of the backpack are great for summer, they're a bit chilly for your child during the winter. We got around it by layering clothing and using an extra blanket to buffer wind. Also, we were able to use our Kelty adjustable raincover easily with this bag -just another little reason we've loved it!Tuesday, April 1, 2014

Leyden and Sons Leather Bag Co. - Williamsburg Satchel
Buy Leyden and Sons Leather Bag Co. - Williamsburg Satchel Now
If Indiana Jones bought a satchel in 2012, THIS would be the one he would pick! Not only is the bag amazingly well-constructed with high quality threads and leather, the hardware exceeded my expectation as well. There is nothing about it I would change, down to the suede lining on the inside main compartment. The side pocket is perfect for a smartphone or portable hard drive, and there is even a strap inside with a clasp on the end that can be used to retain keys, etc, which is not shown in the ad. The double padded strap is super thick and comfortable, and I believe that this bag will endure many seasons. What was even more impressive is the length that LS goes to for package presentation. When I saw a stencil-spray painted "LS" on the outside of the box, I thought, "oh, how cute, they made it look like a crate." When I opened it up, I thought, "WOW, THIS LOOKS LIKE A FREAKIN AWESOME CIRCA-1930s INTERNATIONAL EXPLORER CRATE, COMPLETE WITH RAFFIA STRAW FOR PADDING, BURLAP FOR CHAFE PROTECTION AND JUTE TWINE FOR BINDING IT ALL TOGETHER!!!" To make it even better, the invoice, neatly tucked under the twine, also was accompanied by a page-long hand-written thank-you letter from LS. I can say this with confidence, because the punctuation makes are all distinctly different throughout the letter, along with ink thickness and darkness variations thoughout, which would otherwise not occur with a computer printer. These people ARE NOT lazy. I give them that. They really try and seem to be very concerned for the end customer's satisfaction. I think that I'll add a little snow seal to waterproof and a small layer of padding in the bottom for my laptop, and we'll be good to go for a long time.Read Best Reviews of Leyden and Sons Leather Bag Co. - Williamsburg Satchel Here
I bought this item for my son's 21st. I was late in ordering, and din't expect to have it arrive on time. However the combination of an obviously extremely professional team and Leyden and Sons and good postal services from both the USA and New Zealand led to the item arriving very promptly. I ordered it on 29 October and it arrived on my doorstep in New Zealand on 10 November. Now for the best part, the satchel exceeded all expectations. My son Duncan absolutely loves it. He is an Industrial Design and Philosophy student at Victoria University here in Wellington New Zealand (so he knows a little about good design, sustainability, customer satisfaction, ethical manufacturing, etc etc!!) and he couldn't fault it. Thank you for a beautiful piece of craftmanship.Regards, Michelle
Want Leyden and Sons Leather Bag Co. - Williamsburg Satchel Discount?
Let me start off by saying that this is, for the most part, a great bag. I received it today, and it came as described. Wrapped in burlap and twine, packed with straw, etc. The experience of opening the box is pretty cool.I have two co-workers with $600+ Saddleback bags. This Leyden and Sons bag is about 90% quality-wise compared to theirs. The leather is a little thinner in places, and the edges are a little rougher her and there, but the construction is just as solid: thick stitching thread, hefty leather, reinforcing rivets, sturdy buckles... I'm pleased with all of that.
The rivets are a mix of standard and screw in (phillips head on one side, flat rivet on the other). I checked all of them with my screwdriver and they seem secure; I don't have any immediate concerns about them. The bag strap appears to be a carryover from the rest of the line. It has the dual shoulder pads that would typically be used on the backpack configuration of some of the high-end bag clones, but since this messenger-style bag lacks all of the extra loops and connector points, the second shoulder pad is useless. Of course, it's a piece of cake to undo the buckle and just slide it right off.
Overall, the only issue that I have with this bag is the excessive dye transfer I've experienced. This thing arrives feeling like it's come straight from the tanner: it's oily and even moist to the touch. DO NOT use this with a white shirt and khakis on day 1. I know that I can do some things to mitigate the dye transfer, but ultimately it's going to take some serious breaking-in to get this thing to the point where I can throw it over my shoulder in the morning without worrying about ruining a shirt. I also tested the interior by throwing a few blank papers in with my notebook when I cam home with the bag today. Sure enough, the papers came out with noticeable oil marks.
Overall, I would still recommend a Leyden and Sons bag, but you have to know what to look out for.

Case Logic Security Friendly Laptop Backpack
Of the many laptop backpacks I've owned, the OGIO Metro Backpack and discontinued Samsonite Rafter are my top two favorite, so I use them as a baseline for comparison purposes. Compared to those two bags, this Case Logic is firmly planted on the "Spartan" side of the fence. It's very low on features, but what it does, it does well. Most of what I said in my Case Logic 16-Inch Full-Size Security Friendly Laptop Case (CLCS-116) can be repeated here for much of the pro's and con's carry through to this backpack model with a few changes.
Pros:
Non-laptop half of the bag has lots of good segmented and non-segmented compartments. Good for holding gadgets like Blackberries, phones, MP3 players, power cords, pens, books, etc...
Small semi-hidden "wallet" hole for hiding cash.
Zipper sliders are metal, not plastic (a big plus in my book). Zipper teeth are mostly plastic with the exception of the front zipper which is metal. All zippers on my bag pulled nice and smooth.
Holds my 15.4" laptop like a champ lots of padding, plenty of room.
Put my Inspiron 1720 17" laptop in, just to see if it'd fit. "Kind of" would be a good description the laptop fit, but only because I removed the battery (Dell laptops have gone to a configuration where the battery hangs off the back end). The 17" laptop is pushing at the seams of the compartment, so not a whole lot of padding left at the sides. Not bad for a backpack that advertises itself as a 16" laptop backpack.
Secondary "stuff" pocket is full sized, extending wide enough to hold a hefty 3-4" phonebook-sized item.
Relatively light for a backpack at 3lbs.
Nice "pass-through" feature which lets you thread the pull bar of rolling luggage through allowing for piggy-backing of the pack.
Cons:
No headphones hole thought that was odd for Case Logic.
Very little padding in non-laptop half of the case careful with your gadgets!
No side pockets, mostly because you have to open it up for the security screening.
Not a whole lot of extension allowance if your items don't fit, they won't fit. The stitch is stiff nylon so there's not a lot of give.
The straps are attached by way of two Z-stitches at the top and a double-stitch to an extension at the bottom if you overload your backpacks a lot like I do, these stitches probably won't last very long. However if you're just hauling a laptop, a book, and a few gadgets, this should last a lifetime.
Conclusion:
Since this backpack is a "Generation 1" of these security bags, I'm hoping that the future will bring more cost-effective and feature rich bags. The cost itself is probably prohibitive enough to bring this backpack out of the reach of most students, and honestly if the only benefit that you're getting is that you don't have to put the laptop in the scanning device, it's probably not enough for most people to purchase this backpack. However if you're the consultant type who takes semi-daily business trips, being able to fly through the security checkpoint with just your backpack and shoes removed is probably enough of an incentive to grab this bag. Plus the design is clean enough to look professional. The only problem I have with this backpack is that it is a little dorky looking. Very plain looking, all black with matte silver zippers. Other then that, this is a great backpack!
As someone who lugs around a decent sized widescreen laptop, this is exactly the kind of laptop you would like to have. The rear portion of the backpack contains a padded area for you to store your laptop. Padded as to not damage the computer and to not cause you any discomfort also the lining of this pocket is soft as to not scratch any of the surfaces of your laptop.
The bag features a zipper that basically allows you to split the backpack in half and lay it down flat for scanning through the x-ray machine at airports. This of course is nice since you aren't pulling out your laptop and tossing it in one of those dirty gray bins and getting it scratched, etc..
The front half of the bag contains three other pockets, a smaller one on the front, a slightly larger one behind that which contains smaller pockets for pens, business cards and other small items, then you have one larger pocket which has room for things like power adapters, Cd's, etc..
A couple of other nice features:
The bag is designed to hold it's shape and stand up right when set down. The shoulder straps are padded and curved, making them very easy and comfortable to use. And a nice little touch the adjustable straps that normally dangle after you adjust them, these straps have nifty little Velcro pieces that allow you to roll them up and keep them from getting dirty when you have the bag on the ground or getting caught on stuff as you walk around.
Suffice to say, the bag may not be the coolest looking backpack out there, but you can tell that a lot of thought was put into it design, the designers remembered the little things that annoy you about backpacks that you wished you could fix. Glad I have it!
Buy Case Logic Security Friendly Laptop Backpack Now
Caselogic's 16-Inch Security Friendly Laptop Backpack is a handsome-looking, sturdily built backpack that is designed for maximum convenience in and out of the airport, with a layout that is smart, efficient and accessible. If I have one caveat with this backpack, it is that it cannot handle much weight before it inadvertently unzips down the middle, causing the backpack to split into two loosely-hanging sections that constantly swing apart from each other. This fast becomes extremely annoying; as a result, if you are going to be using this bag as something other than a laptop backpack or if you tend to travel heavy, I'd recommend you look elsewhere. However, if you tend to travel lightly, this is worth picking up... especially at Amazon.com's current price point.

I regularly travel by airplane and I'm a student, so I decided to try the Case Logic security friendly laptop backpack. According to Case Logic, this backpack will get a person through security checkpoints quickly while fully protecting the laptop and sensitive documents. When approaching an X-ray machine, just unzip and lay flat on the conveyer belt. At the other end, just lift the handle and go.On my most recent trip, I packed the bag with a 15.4" Dell Latitude D800, a couple school books, some papers, the usual laptop stuff, and some other junk; all together the bag weighed about 20 pounds. I also travel with a Tamrac Expedition 5 backpack containing a digital SLR, several lenses, filters and more resulting with a bag weighing about 20 pounds as well. Considering these two bags weigh the same, the camera bag with its waist strap and shoulder strap connector over the chest feels much lighter on the shoulders. The additional straps distribute the weight better, but would slow down the removal process. However Case Logic's luggage strap allows for carrying the backpack on your suitcase while strapped to the handle.
A lot of thought went into the construction and organizational properties of this laptop backpack Even though Case Logic indicates the plush laptop compartment will hold a 16" laptop, I was able to pack a 17" HP G70-246US comfortably without any zipper closure fuss; although the top corners could be identified. For screening purposes, nothing but the laptop should be stored in this section. The main storage area has a couple pockets to stash the cord and other accessories while allowing plenty of room for books and papers. The front compartment provides many pockets for organizing and includes a clip to hold a key ring. Plus a hidden passport storage compartment is placed between the two zippered halves.
The pre-screening security officer busily warned people to pull out their laptops, but I ignored him. I took the bag off my back, unzipped the two center zippers and laid the properly packed bag out flat on the conveyor belt. The bag passed inspection without any issues. On the other end, I grabbed the main handle and the bag went naturally back together for zipping even though I chose to do so later. Keep in mind, Case Logic warns "It is up to the discretion of the US Transportation Security Officer whether a laptop sleeve can pass without further screening." This by far was the easiest experience passing a laptop through security I can recall.
If you're looking for a laptop bag for traveling which can get you through security check points quickly and hassle free, strongly consider the Case Logic security friendly laptop backpack. The executive on the go would benefit the most, but even the occasional traveler could make use of this sturdy and effective laptop bag. Plus this bag is backed by a 25 year warranty.
PROS:
Sturdy and well constructed
Ample back padding
Manufactured for organization
Luggage strap
CONS:
Feels heavy on the shoulders

I travel frequently, but hate carrying my heavy laptop in a messenger bag, but don't like carrying a laptop-only bag. And then there's the "take it all out" routine at airport security which is awkward with any bag. This bag is the first one I've found that finally addresses all of those issues. It's reinforced to carry laptops (unlike the messenger bag). It has room to carry other items, so it can be my "personal-item" airline carry-on (unlike the laptop bag). And with its split zippered TSA-approved design, my laptop stayed in the bag after going through security four times so far (3 different airports).
The pack is also unobtrusive in urban life (doesn't scream "I'm carrying a computer!!" like a laptop case does), and has some hipster-chicness; at least I didn't feel too silly-looking carrying this in various cities. Loaded up, it is a bit bulky and I've bumped people when wearing it, but that goes with the territory of a backpack.
I was able to carry my computer, various laptop accessories, papers, a DSLR, an extra SLR lens, a bottle of water, and some random bits of food without the bag feeling over-full.
This backpack addresses most of my concerns with the similar briefcase Caselogic product Case Logic 16-Inch Full-Size Security Friendly Laptop Case (CLCS-116) (that one had limited capacity, was awkward to carry full, and had less useful compartments).
Quibbles: The strap buckles could be redesigned to not move as readily -I found with frequent use they often slipped to the longest position.
I use this bag every time I travel, and around town too. Highly recommended.

Green New Totoro Tote Bag Approx 21"x16"
- High Quality Tote Bag
- Approx 21"x16"
- Embroidered Graphic
The only thing I would change would be for it to have one of those flat bottoms so it stands up on its own, but that's really the only thing. It also gives off a funny smell, but a lot of nonlicensed products have that same "smell". I let it sit out on my porch for the afternoon and it's all but gone.
I'm glad I decided to get it.

LeDonne Vacquetta Leather U Zip Mini Backpack
I have a huge wallet and it fits inside really well, but the purse isn't too big.
It is about 10 inches tall x 8 inches wide and the bottom is 4 inches deep and tapers at the top.
The straps are not padded as in real backpacks and are a bit narrow, but it's a purse, not a book bag so that's fine. They are maybe 3/4 of an inch wide and flat.
The pockets aren't very big, I guess that's my only problem with it. The front pocket is a bit shallow and the side pocket is long and narrow so unless you want to carry tampons or pens it's kind of useless.
Overall it's a very nice purse and I like it very much. It looks very nice.THIS IS A GREAT QUALITY BAG. IT FITS SNUGLY AND CONTOURS WELL AS A BACKPACK AND YET IS FASHIONABLE AND DOES NOT LOOK LIKE A MOUNTAIN BAG. I HAVE A BROKEN ANKLE AND PURCHASED IT BECAUSE A PURSE IS SO CLUMSY WITH CRUTCHES AND MY KNEE SCOOTER. IT HAS BEEN A LIFESAVER; SPACIOUS ENOUGH FOR ALL THE ESSENTIALS PLUS SOME, YET NOT TOO BULKY AT ALL. LOVE IT SO MUCH, I WILL KEEP USING IT AFTER I GET OFF THE CRUTCHES AND EQUIPMENT!!

This is the second one I have purchased in this color. The first one is still structurally sound after 10 years but it was getting worn looking and had some marks on it. I fully expect to have this one for a long time! I have the same bag in black and the larger on in dark brown. All are great. I love backpack purses as they leave my hands free and the weight is balanced on my shoulders. I highly recommend this bag.Read Best Reviews of LeDonne Vacquetta Leather U Zip Mini Backpack Here
I just got my backpack purse today and instantly liked it. As a petite person, the mini is a perfect size for me and my purse contents. Actually the mini backpack has much more space in it than my standard over-the-shoulder purse of approx the same dimensions and holds these items in a more organized fashion. They are also easy to access with the U-zip feature. The purse hangs easily and comfortably on my back. The purse does not have any offensive smell, other than a mild leather odor; odor was mentioned as a real problem in one review. I may update my review with use of the purse to see how it holds up over time.Want LeDonne Vacquetta Leather U Zip Mini Backpack Discount?

High Sierra Access Backpack
The Access Day Pack, has been great! Although it is not waterproof, it comes with its own rain coat that covers the bag just in case you get caught in undesirable weather. I thought that was a cool feature!
I also an not a big fan of pre-sized pockets and pouches as they never fit my stuff. However the pockets in this bag are really good size and can hold most cellphones or 2-way radios.
The things I would change about the bag are:
1) The top MP3 style pocket. It is big enough to hold your iPod but if you put much else in it you run out of room quickly.
2) I would add another "water bottle" holder on the left side. These pockets are always useful and having a second one would only make this bag that much better.
3) I would add a rubberized waterproof bottom to the bag. If you set it down in a wet area for very long the water will soak through.
Hope this helps...I bought this backpack for my tour of Europe. I tour cities in bursts of 2-3 days so this pack has to hold my things for 2-3 days.
Pros:
1. It has many pockets for all kinds of gadgets or items you may have.
2. The bottle holder is far better than in any previous backpack i have owned. It has a zipper to it so you can tighten the bottle agaist the pack to hold it down.
3. It has a rain cover. I haven't needed to use it yet but im sure that day will come.
4. The laptop padding is good. I have had the pack tip over and fall on the floor. The laptop was protected each time.
5. The pack has padding for your back as well. However, there is a con here that ill explain further down.
6. The pack is spacious and wide enough for my dslr camera bag. This is a big plus for me.
Cons:
1. The padding for your shoulders and back has a tendency to cover air flow and makes you sweat. The pack is advertised to have good air flow but this is not true in my experience.
2. The wait strap is excessive and unnecessary in my opinion. My pack is never heavy enough to need it.
3. The pack is advertised to be able to hold upto 17in. laptops but i have serious doubts about that. My 15.4in widescreen laptop fits snugly and hangs out of the top of the covering a good bit. The dimensions of my laptop are the following: 14.25" x 10.55" x 1.54"
Overall a very good pack, best i've had yet.

This is one of the most durable backpacks I have ever owned! I bought it for college, because as an engineer I carry around waaay too many thick heavy books. This bag has been great for walking long-distance with heavy books, biking with heavy books, and carrying heavy groceries home from the store. :D Could be used as a daypack for short hikes, more comfy than many bags, but probably not as comfortable as a dedicated backpacking bag. I am a skinny woman, and this bag was able to size comfortably for me, but my 6'2" husband can adjust all the straps for him too.The hip strap is well made, and padded so that it is actually comfortable with 50+ lbs of books weighing it down. Can't emphazise how comfortable the hip strap is!
The laptop gets it's own padded compartment in the main pocket, and it is tall enough for 17" laptops. I use it for a 15", and the sides are fine, so I don't know how the sides on a 17" would be, but I expect it will fit fine. Has a nice clip to keep it from bouncing around.
The second (big) pocket out is for shorter items, but from outside is deceptively large because in fact there is a third almost hidden pocket in front of it. The third pocket has a size zip entrance, so it's not very good for books or papers. I don't use it for much except sometimes an extra shirt, or scarf and hat, things like that. If short on space though, remember it's there. The outermost pocket is great for pencils, bus schedules, combs, flat stuff. I use the mp3/cd player pocket for my laptop mouse.
The "suspension system" on the shoulder straps actually has a span of tough elastic in between shoulders and bag. I think it makes the bag ride softer on your shoulders... but also makes it a little more bouncy.
The rain fly is VERY effective, although when not using it is more heavy than you might think. I had a hard time folding it back up to fit in it's underneath pocket. Without the fly, the bag can take 1 hour of medium rain and keep your books dry. Although the laptop zipper will leak and soak the top of the bag a couple inches down, it didn't reach my laptop because the bag is tall. Fly is bright yellow, it also doubles to make you somewhat more visible when biking in the dark. (Not reflective)

I've reviewed this pack for the Black color High Sierra Access Backpack after borrowing it from a friend for travel. I'm a large guy so I had it packed to the hilt, with 2 laptops and the gear to support, some mags and books some gifts and other stuff and the zippers worked easily no stressing. When I returned I had about 1/3 what I took with me and it was compact like a day pack by pulling the reinforcement straps tight and its small again.
I used the rain cover when I landed in Hono cause we walked in rain to our gate. Nothing got wet. In the hotel i had to dry out the cover before I let it get packed away.
This pack is under advertised and under rated. Sellers I hope you like the photos, buyers I hope the photos answer any questions.
This pack makes EVERYONE ask about it and this pack steered me away from a THE NORTHFACE pack cause of the size, straps, padding and application of so many tasks it covers.

So I originally bought this bag to carry my large lap top, camera, eternal hard drive and what ever else I needed to haul back and forth from work home. It has been absolutely great for that, no complaints at all. have plenty of room of many other things as well such as sandals and a sweater. The weight is distributed nicely and has been a very sturdy.Reciently I was invited to go on a 2 day hike throught the jungle (I live in costa rica) and the only back pack I had was this one. I thought it might be two small at first but I was able to pack very comfortably:
1 fleece balket
1 mosquito net
1 large first aid kit
1 pair of sport sandels
1 poncho
1 change of clothes
extra socks and underwear
enough food for 2 days
small bag with toiletries
a flash light and 1 sweater
I walked for 8 hour the first day and my shoulders were not hurting at all, the weight was very well distributed and the shoulder straps were very comfortable. The only thing was one part of the sternum straps fell off and was lost, but that I believe was because i snagged it on something and did not notice.
every one on this trip admired my bag and said it was the perfect size. In the end I was almost disappointed it did not rain, because I really wanted to whip out the awesome rain protection this bag has which I have to say was the feature that won me over when I bought the bag.

This bag is great for a day at your local crag. I use it to carry some of my gear around when spending the day out climbing. On weekend trips I bump up to my bigger bag and use this as a haul bag on any multipitch. Great all arounder!Read Best Reviews of Black Diamond Hollowpoint Here
No complaints! it's compact yet can hold 20L. Very comfortable and not restrictive when climbing or running.Good looking bag as well!I like a few extra pockets in my pack but nothing crazy. Also, I am consistently amazed at the amount of stuff I can fit in it. I have found BD products hold up well consistently and so far after a few months this pack is still like new.

Otium 20228NBLK Leisure Canvas Bagpack Backpack, Garment Washed Black
It's bigger than a "hiking" backpack I've previously carried around, and obviously much cuter and chic. I'm sure you could carry around about five of Fivestar five-subject notebooks and still have some extra space. It's wide and roomy.
There's a laptop slip inside (towards where your back goes) and a zipped pocket to put whateveryouwant to put. On the other side there are little pockets to put pens and two that are almost big enough to fit in a Apple laptop charger. The two pouches outside are pretty perfect for an Apple laptop charger.
Closing the backpack is not traditional, but you'll get easily used to it.
The only downside is the lack of a soft pad-sort of material against your back-meaning, if there's irregular shaped things in the laptop slip, you're going to feel it. I'm fine with dealing with that, though.
Anyway, I absolutely love this bag! Glad I got it.
6/7/13 -Quick edit: So I've used this bag for college for the last few months. It doesn't have the best back support-my hiking bag I mentioned earlier feels much lighter because of the cushions on it. This bag does not have that. Regardless, my love for this bag does not end. It has not broken on me yet, and I carried around more than I should while school was in session. If you have bad back-you have been warned! This kind of Korean or Japanese style backpack is my favorite one so far! Very satisfied with the texture and the color. It looks not big but it can even fit my 15 inch laptop! Perfect choice for international students from Asia.

Looks just like the pic. Holds all my books and text books. Closing the buckle takes a bit of shuffling, but at least it makes you feel safe from wandering hands, lol.Want Otium 20228NBLK Leisure Canvas Bagpack Backpack, Garment Washed Black Discount?
I wanted to make sure I had the perfect backpack for my style and to held everything I use at school, but still be comfortable to wear. I FOUND IT! This bag is awesome. Lots of room, really strong canvas, adjustable and comfortable straps, pockets inside and outside, drawstring closing is nice if im in a hurry and need it closed and the buckle is just added security :) Right now I have one 3" binder (full), 3 text books, one 5 subject notebook, 2 folders (1/2 inch thick each), a pencil case, calculator, and my 13" laptop all in the bag and it fits great. Its not super crammed to where I'm worried about my laptop being affected in anyway and theres enough room to fit another notebook or two if i wanted. I'm very very pleased with this backpack and totally worth the price. I'm not sure what the material is exactly on the inside, but its strong enough to where it doesnt rip from me putting in and taking stuff out recklessly, and i can wipe it down if needed. I totally recommend this bag to picky people who want to be pratical and still stylish B)
