Alley Messenger Bag
It was a rainy day. I packed my notebook as usual, stepped outside assuming all would be protected and safe. However, if you look carefully, the flap that swings over the top is not made to wrap around the edges. There is an angled gap of roughly half an inch on both sides of the flap, that provides direct access to the notebook.
Luckily for me, it was a short walk to the car in very heavy rain. when I opened my notebook bag, I discovered water on the edges of my notebook. And now, I have to always remember to stuff paper towels on the edges just in case it rains.I use this messenger bag for my Macbook Pro 15'' and it's amazing, the space for the laptop is just great and the good thing is that it has also an special space for the charger and papers.

Has a great padded area for your 15" MacBookPro. There is a rubber covered handle for times you don't want to go to the trouble of using the padded strap. The shoulder strap can come off if you like and besides padding there is a cel pocket on it. Mostly you notice how the bag is planned out nicely for your computer and a few items like the cords, mouse etc. This is not your "tote everything and the kitchen sink" bag but then it wasn't made for that. It looks very sleek. People remark on the design and how great the bag looks. Also there is a version for 13" laptops.Want Alley Messenger Bag Discount?
Buy this for my mbp 13 ", I should buy the smallest model but the idea was to share with my wife a few times (she has a 15.6" laptop). The bag looks great and protects the laptop very well and not be as fancy as the Speck PortPack becomes safer in urban environments in my opinion.would be good maybe one or two pockets for small items.

I bought this backpack for my 9 yr old for school. I love it. It is very durable and has many compartments yet very sleek! The quality of the material is very strong and sturdy. The only thing I wish is it having an adjustable height handle since he is not that tall when the arm is fully extended. I will just have to drill a hole in it myself to make the handle snnap shorter.Read Best Reviews of Port Authority Side Pocket Wheeled Handy Backpack. BG76S Here
I had great hopes for this backpack. My fourth grader's Land's End monogramed backpack fell apart after five months and he needed something fast. We saw this on amazon.com and liked it. It was bigger. Seemed sturdy and looked good. And it was great, until the wheel housing fell out of the backpack. The reason this gets one star is, he was able to tuck the wheel back up into the pack and can use it temporarily. Because we know it's only a matter of time before the wheel won't tuck back in. The wheels are pockmarked as well, so not a lot of hope in them lasting. Very disappointing because we'll have to buy yet another backpack and we have no trust whatever we get will make it to June.Want Port Authority Side Pocket Wheeled Handy Backpack. BG76S Discount?
I bought 2 of these for my 11 year old girls in January 2012. I got the pink one and the red one. Initial appearance of them was favorable. They liked the look of them and were happy with the number of pockets it has. The one feature I was particularly pleased with was the pull out cover for the wheels/bottom so that if used as a backpack instead of a roller it won't get their backs dirty. One thing I found useful to do was to tuck the shoulder straps into the pocket at the back / top so that they don't drag when being rolled. The one complaint I have about this however is that the bottom of the strap is not removable via a clip like others have. This means that the the strap length must be stretched longer in order to fit flat in the pocket ever time it is stored. If they needed to switch from roller to backpack often this could become annoying to have to adjust the strap length each time.I hope the product will last as long as other backpacks they have used (or hopefully longer since it is more expensive than their usual one). I will update this once they start showing some sign of end of their usable life. Hopefully they continue to follow my request to always zip the zippers before carrying it by the handle, and also pull the straps to compress the thickness according to the contents, which should help prevent weight shifts when being rolled around and should help reduce stress on the backpack.

I searched everywhere for a Robot backpack for our preschooler, and this one is perfect. Very well made and sturdy with a retro robot design. It fits well and still looks like new going into a second year of use. It may not fit full size binders, but it has worked for folders and smaller books. This backapck was purchased for my 2 year olds Birthday and he loves it! Only thing is you should be aware that it's small, perfect for a toddler, but doesn't carry much.Wednesday, July 23, 2014
STM BAGS Scout Small Laptop Shoulder Bag, Fits most 13-Inch Laptops, Olive
Buy STM BAGS Scout Small Laptop Shoulder Bag, Fits most 13-Inch Laptops, Olive Now
I ordered this based solely on some results on internet searches for my 13" macbook pro. I have a great small Incase bag that perfectly fits the MBP and a few accessories very well, but now that I have some apps that turn my iPad into more than just a toy or a kindle replacement, I needed something that was still small, designed for a 13" laptop, but also had space to carry the iPad relatively safely. So some people gave this good word of mouth on a few boards, I liked the photos on the manufacturer's website, so thought I'd give it a try.Online photos showed some decent storage, and clearly showed a space where they had an iPad stored as well, and after receiving it, everything is more or less as shown on the website. Laptop fits alright, the inner sleeve is soft to protect the finish of the laptop, and there's an inner flap with velcro that also covers the laptop sleeve in addition to the main flap. Inside the right side accessory pouch there's three sleeves for things like small screwdrivers, pens, etc, and one larger one that fits my Sony digital camera or a cell phone well. With those little holders filled, there is still space for a few other things like sync and charge cables, etc. The left side accessory pouch has no other storage options in it, only the larger pouch, works well for the power adapters.
Along the top edge of the "back wall" of these pouches is a zipper, where you can open up and put papers and such in, maybe 10" long.
This outer storage portion is the outside wall of the smaller space to store an iPad or paper notepads and such, which extends the full length of the bag.
The laptop sleeve itself is padded on all sides and the bottom by some pretty sturdy foam that's a little more than 1/3" thick. The top velcro closure is padded but thinly, probably because it will also have the large flap closed for a little more material protection. Strap is actually easily adjusted, with a quick release tensioner, something I wish other laptop bags did.
Padding on the strap is removable and slides the whole length to put it where you want. The issue with this is that it slides TOO easily, so every time I put it down, when I pick it up I have to reposition the pad again. It is not the softest padding, but since this bag won't fit one of the huge 17" laptops, the padding works well anyway. It's supposedly some non slip material, and while it is not as slippery as some others, it doesn't hold as well as a few of my other bags.
While it's squared off on the bottom, it doesn't stand on its own if there's accessories in it but no laptop.
My biggest gripe is that the accessory pockets extend all the way to the edge, and the way the main flap closes, the edges of those pouches are NOT well covered... So if you're out in the rain, water WILL get in those pouches, and, to a lesser degree, the other storage spot where I plan on carrying my iPad...
So good for most things, but the vulnerability of this to rain has me unwilling to give it more stars...

I have had a bag fetish for many years and have owned over 30 of them always searching for the perfect bag. As far as a messenger bag goes, this is the best one out. Its comfortable, looks great, high quality material and the strap is great. I just wish they had a version with a slimmer build for the laptop compartment as I have a Macbook Air that is very slim and the space is for a normal sized machine.Want STM BAGS Scout Small Laptop Shoulder Bag, Fits most 13-Inch Laptops, Olive Discount?
I purchased this bag after looking around at many many bags. I wanted a bag that would hold the following without any hassle: A 13" laptop, the power adapter, a notebook, and a folder for documents. All of that fits great, I could probably squeeze some sort of tablet in there, too. On top of that, the construction & materials are solid, so I'm not concerned that something is going to break unexpectedly. The cons are trivial. The main latch requires you to reach a little bit extra for it, and I do wish that the bottom of the bag had some sort of rubber or plastic so that I could just wipe it off if I set the bag in something messy. Yeah, those are honestly the worst things I can say about the bag. I love it!

When i saw this back pack online, it looked perfect for me, so I ordered it. The shipping took two weeksa little disappointing. When i opened it up, i was happy about the size. it is definitely big enough for all my books, and it looks just like the backpack pictured.
I am not happy when it comes to the quality. The lining of the outside pockets is a weird plastic-y material that makes a crinkling noise when you touch your backpack. Also, the inside pocket zipper broke immediately, the very first time i tried to unzip it.
I havent gotten the chance to use it long enough to determine the durability, but it doesnt seem strong enough to last more than one school year.
Overall, the backpack was just okay.I bought this product for my daughter...it came two days after we ordered it. The $8.29 was definitely worth it. It came in a pretty small package but the bag itself is actually quite large. My daughter is using it as a carry-on and found that it held all her stuff with room to spareMy mom bought the bag for me for my birthday. We ordered it on Sunday and it came the Thursday. It doesn't have black straps but I still love it. It's amazingly big and I plan on using it for school. I'm excited to use it!

Osprey Packs Poco - Premium Child Carrier
I ultimately returned all four of them because the belts were all too wide for me. I am 5ft, 100lbs and the belts hit both my ribcage and hips at the same time, making them impossible to tighten for a good fit. I got bruises just trying them on for a few minutes. This entire process was a disappointment, and a huge waste of time spent reading reviews and making returns (they come in huge oversized boxes, and I don't have a car...). [Behavioral economists out there, you may be interested to know that while writing this review is increasing the cost of this transaction to me, it is actually making it slightly more rewarding as I hope for it to be useful to other parents.]
For many of you with larger frames (i.e. longer waste lines), I would recommend the Osprey by far. It is extremely well made with great attention to detail. The kickstand is nicely hidden in the fabric, and easy to open and close. When it is open, it provides a large extra storage compartment (it collapses when the kickstand is closed). It is much easier to load the baby into than the Kelty. The sunshade is the best by far on this backpack in terms of baby coverage and ease of use / withdrawal. The mechanism to adjust the backpack frame is extremely easy to use. It has stirrups for baby's feet. Very easy to load the baby in and out. In terms of practicality and attention to detail, Deuter would be my next pick (except it is way too big, and the sunshade does not come out far enough).
Note that the Kelty and Pathfinder are *voluminous*--their sheer size sent my husband, mother and me into hysterics. Even if you think you don't care what you look like walking around with one of these, the size of these may make you rethink. The Deuter is particularly gigantic--mostly because of its height.
Phil & Teds claims to be better looking, and I beg to differ (and design matters to me). While its size is very reasonable, it is very poorly conceived. The storage pockets are designed in such a way as to be useless; they won't hold much of anything. Your blood pressure will increase trying to put the sunshade in and out of its pocket. The baby harness alone is a reason not to buy it. It requires pulling the straps over the baby's head (a little bit like a T-shirt), and they are very thick and fleecy--it would be too hot for the baby on a warm day. I am not sure the part that goes under the baby's chin can even be removed to clean (if it can be, it's not easy).
Buy the Osprey if you are bigger than me, save yourself the hassle I put myself through.... And if any small people out there have found a backpack that works for them, I would love to hear. After reading several reviews online, I went ahead and bought this (not from Amazon, although Amazon's price is more competitive). I just wanted to walk into a store to compare the premium against the pro model. In essence, they are pretty much the same, but the price difference isn't too much (if you're already planning on spending all that money on a backpack anyway). I really liked the few added features of the premium over the pro. I had to visit the manufacturer's website to know what they were, but basically, I think it comes down to the baby changing mat and the detachable backpack, which is really where I think the difference is worth it. It is not a huge backpack, but it will add some much needed storage for light day hiking. I really love the quality and craftmanship: this is a sturdy unit, and held both my 15-month old daughter and 3-year-old son comfortably on my back. They both enjoyed it. They keep on asking me to take them for a ride. I would highly recommend this if you are planning on any walking/hiking with kids in toddler age or below. Remember they must be old enough to hold their head up alone (about 6 months?). Very good product.

At first I was hesitant to try this particular backpack, but after I used it a few times (hiking and walking downtown), I've come to really appreciate all the attention to detail!I'm a bigger guy (5'11, 215 lbs) and I had absolutely no problem adjusting the shoulder and waist straps to be comfortable. My 2 year old daughter was also delighted with the sunshade and the included stirrups. The baby seat adjusting is super convenient, and my wife (5'2, 125 lbs) was also able to adjust it to fit her comfortably within 30 seconds. Even though it probably isn't recommended, it was incredibly easy to hoist my daughter up on my back with no assistance from the wife.
We haven't used the included changing pad (it's in an inconvenient location), but the extra storage in the kickstand area in addition to the included day pack are excellent hideaways for snackies and toys.
There is a space for a bladder (which isn't included, btw), and I was pleased to see I could easily fit my Camelbak brand bladder in the pocket and not have to buy a special Osprey one. Overall, I've got nothing negative to say about this carrier!

I really wanted to add a review because this is a new product that just came out in Jan 2012, and there aren't too many reviews on Amazon for it yet. I looked at several different models and did quite a bit of research before purchasing this pack. I am really impressed with the quality of the product! I have only been on a few hikes and a couple of long walks, but so far this backpack is very comfortable. It is so easy to adjust and my little girl loves it. I went with the premium model since I didn't already own a osprey day pack, and because I thought the changing pad was a cool extra. It turns out the plus model would be fine, the detachable pack on the premium has only two pockets, one large, and one little pocket. You would be fine with the large storage space in the stand area. Just know that if you want to close the stand, the storage space that the open stand creates shrinks quite a bit. I just left the stand open and had no problems and I didn't have to remember to open it back up before taking the pack off. The changing pad is really thin and small and hard to access, so it is not a necessity. Other than that this is truly an awesome pack, and I am so glad I got it!My husband bought this for an extended vacation we took overseas -the backpack worked great for areas where we couldn't use a stroller. It was a great fit for both my husband and me (He has a slight male frame while I have a shorter smaller frame) and distributed our son's weight wonderfully. Continued use over a period of days didn't leave us with back or shoulder aches either. We loved that the outer backpack provided extra storage and there was also plenty of room in the area at the bottom of the bag. We do recommend however, that if you use this for cold weather hiking (like we did) that you bundle up our little one. We found that while the air venting on the sides of the backpack are great for summer, they're a bit chilly for your child during the winter. We got around it by layering clothing and using an extra blanket to buffer wind. Also, we were able to use our Kelty adjustable raincover easily with this bag -just another little reason we've loved it!Thursday, February 20, 2014

Knomo Kobe Messenger Bag
If you can afford to buy a new $300+ bag every 2 years, then this is the bag for you. Other interior pocket seams have also came apart, so this was not just a single bad stitch.
If you expect such a bag to last you for years of good use, you will be sorely disappointed.

I am writing this because when I was doing research for a messenger bag, I couldn't find a lot much feedback from owners of Knomo bags. I encourage more people to write, I think they are make quality products.I've been using the Kobe Messenger bag for the last couple of months and so far it's everything I was looking for.
It's the perfect size and made with amazing quality and detail. The leather is very soft and the cushiony interior holds my T400 laptop securely. Unlike the previous reviewer my interior is green and not orange.
I used to carry around a backpack and can carry almost everything that I used to. I am looking for a water bottle that will fit in this bag and it would complete everything I need when I go out.
Pros:
Light
Roomy
Strong
Cons:
Wish it was all leather exterior
I hope this review helps and if anyone has questions please feel free to ask.

I thought the bag was great when I got it a few weeks ago. I used it lightly everyday however a few days ago one of the so-called metal ends just broke in half. I am not joking.I am very familar with metal and it will stretch or deform however this when looked at closer looks like some type of other material. I don't think plastic.
If it is metal then the end pieces supporting the shoulder strap are extremely brittle showing pour quality and cheaper manufacturing which should not be in a bag that costs anywhere near this amount.
I have uploaded a picture so can see it broken for yourself. A picture is worth a thousand words.

I just received my bag today. I am a 30 + yr old Business owner that just finished my BS in Business Management. The bag was a treat from my wife to replace my school bag with a professional bag. So far the appearance and build are great quality. The bag feels fantastic and is able to hold everything I need. Laptop, notepad, cell phone, calculators, newspaper, etc... I will check back in a few weeks as a follow up on build and quality and durability.I love that you can register the product through Knomo London with a serial number in case it is lost traveling.

Generator Rex with Rex Salazar, Bobo HaHa, Agent 6, Captain Callan, Providence Agent - 16" Backpack
The construction is standard kids backpack, so if you're looking for it to last more than one year you'll be disappointed. As far as a kid pleaser though, this purchase was a complete winner.
Even though the front puffy picture display is plastic, it looks like it will last. The side elastic pockets are nice for little items he plays with on the bus and the front zip section is perfect for an extra change of clothes for the days he just can't stay out of the mud or snow.I did not know there was a show called Generator Rex until after I named my son Rex. I had a standard diaper bag for him until he was 6 months old and found this. I bought it because it was so cool (my favorite color is orange so it immediately caught my eye, not to mention the big REX on the front of it), and have been using it as my son's diaper/on the go bag for the past 2 years. I take it with me everywhere we go. It has started falling apart from all of the "love" it has received, so I just bought another one. I highly recommend for the durability alone!

Swiss Gear SA1061 Black Backpack
I would NEVER recommend to buy this bag as a laptop bag.
If you really like the style (which is definitely good and decent) you can buy it as a normal backpack to go to school, sports, etc. It's a very nice backpack for general use.
If you are searching for a backpack to use with a laptop, go and find something else.
It's not possible to keep safe a laptop.
In general, looks like a very good product (design/build).

Thank you Amazon. This is an addition to my earlier review. I bought it at $20 and wrote my review according to the price. I would not buy this backpack at the current price of $60.
