Got this to replace an older one for my high school student. Apparently, Pokemon is somewhat timeless in terms of its cool factor, so this was high on his Christmas list. Good colors and layout, but probably too small for a high school backback. Bummer, but probably should have shopped harder.

My son loves his backpack but it's a bit small. I don't think medium is the right description for it. I purposely bought it because it said medium. My son's lunchbox and two library books just barely fit in it. It is well-made though and has the Pokemon on it that my son likes so all-in-all it works.

I bought this for my pre-schooler's first day and she was instantly in love! It is large, so if you're looking for a toddler size backpack then this is not it.

It came in plastic wrap with the tags on it just as if I had bought it from the Disney store. The colors are vibrant and there are some glittery details on the pockets. On the packaging for this case it says that the MAX dimensions of a laptop that will fit inside are: 14.3" x 0.9" x 9.8" and the dimensions of a 15" MacBook Pro (Purchased new from apple in 2011) are 14.35" x 0.95" x 9.82" ... so it's as simple as that: this case is just not made to fit a 15" MBP. I don't know how you make a case that's specifically designed to fit something that's bigger than the maximum possible space available in that case...

Now a few hundredths of an inch may not seem like a lot, and I didn't think it would be a big deal; I figured a snug fit would be good right? Well this is a little TOO snug as the laptop is not protected at all from the zipper, especially at the corners, where it is really tight and the zipper actually rubs up against the laptop every time you zip and unzip it.

Aside from that... the inside of the case is made from the same material as the outside. The neoprene isn't really the softest material in the world and I feel like the soft plush interior of some of the other cases would better protect the MacBook.

The price attracted me to this case as some of the others are twice as much, but I guess I see why it was half the price now...

So in conclusion, spend the extra cash on a case that is designed to fit your MBP. I will be returning this case for a refund and purchasing a more expensive one that will hopefully fit.

Built Zip-Around 13"-15" Laptop Sleeve, Rainbow Flower

Great product, but it doesn't fit right. I have a 12" laptop but the 12" sleeve didn't fit because of the hourglass shape... I had to go up to the 15" size.

I love the colors of this laptop sleeve. It is just as bright as it looks in the photo. Also, it is the perfect size for my 13" Toshiba, which I had a very hard time finding a sleeve for. It is neither too big, nor too small to stretch the fabric or zipper. I only wish the zipper was on the longer end of the sleeve but it works perfectly fine this way.

I bought this for my 15" macbook pro and it fits absolutely perfectly. Maybe a little itsy bit too snug. I have to really pull on it to zip it closed sometimes. But I'd rather have the case a teeny bit too tight than be too loose. I bought it so I could stick my laptop in a bag or my backpack when I need to take it out. I get lots of compliments on it for the design too. The neoprene has just enough stretch to it to keep the case tight and is very solid. The stitching is very sturdy and I don't think this will be falling apart anytime soon.

High Sierra A.T. Gear Classic 30" Wheeled Duffel

I really like this bag! I use it to take brochures and promo items with me on my educational rounds speaking with patients and exhibiting at conferences. The bag holds an amazing amount of items and I like all of the extra outside pockets. I combined this bag with clear plastic storage bins of various sizes to create a modular approach to my organization.

It rolls well and I have once used the backpack straps. Using the straps, I get odd looks from people because it is big!

The ONLY thing I have found that I don't like or would change is the fact that there is only a handle on one end of the bag for lifting. I need a handle on the end with the wheels as well to help me lift it up onto the seat in my truck or onto a shelf. This is the only reason I held back and assessed 4 stars instead of 5. The build quality is amazing.

Other than that, I would buy another one in a minute!

Rugged wheeled duffel luggage with heavy nylon pack cloth, wheels and handle. It is two inches under the maximum luggage size before the airline check in folks take and arm and a leg ($) because of over sized baggage. It survived a 15,000 round trip flight to Ushuaia, Argentina. Looks good as new.

After searching hundreds of rolling duffel bags online for the right size, weight, durability, I bought this for my college age son to make carting clothes, laundry hamper and backpack from car park to dorm room easier (great roller wheels, which are replaceable) plus he was going on a snow trip to Colorado. Well I can tell you he loves it it has an incredible amount of room and the end pockets easily take a pair of winter boots. The side pocket has ample room for toiletries. Still had room for more after packing for a 5 day trip. He loves the fact you can use the well concealed straps and make it a backpack too. It folds flat for storage (a biggie) and is made of tough fabric and heavy duty zippers. Love the bungee cording on top too for any awkward last minute items. I absolutely love this bag. I've had it for over a year now and have taken it on multiple trips. It's easy to spot it when it arrives in baggage claim and it has yet to give me any issues. One thing to watch out for is that this bag is very large, and it is easy to go over the 50 pound weight limits. The bag is extremely versatile. If I'm in a rush, I can just pick it up and take off or can wheel it or I can wear it on my back. I've worn it on my back a few times and it's not too uncomfortable.

I'm considering buying a similar bag from High Sierra but a smaller version so that I can just use it as a carry on during shorter trips. I'd buy this bag again in a heartbeat though. Great product!

Osprey Momentum 34-Litre Commuter Pack

Ive travelled internationally for my job for over a decade and I've come to expect a lot from the bags I use. In my early days, I had entire packs come apart flinging my stuff everywhere. I decided a long time ago that the bag you trust all of your priceless personal items and expensive gadgets to should not be a cheap piece of junk.

I've used Osprey packs for years, yet they have never had a day pack/computer pack that worked for me, mostly because of their ultralight design approach. The Momentum 34 hits a new high. It has a nice stiff back that protects your laptop and props the bag up on its own without losing comfort. It has great organization and really shouldn't be confined to the bike commute. The two pockets on the shoulder straps are amazing, however, the key zip attachment needs a quick clip and not a O-ring.

My only gripe is that every decent pack needs at least one dedicated bottle/thermos pocket. The momentum has two side pockets at the bottom that are actually very nice for keeping a power brick, cliff bars, etc... i.e. items too for the main compartment of the bag, but too small for the pen/key pocket. When you open the side pockets there is a little mesh lining that keep the items from falling out yet handy at the same time. It's really a great idea. The problem is that these two side pockets are not large enough to keep a bottle/thermos mug. They will fit a can of soda or a 12 oz water bottle, but that's it and not conveniently at all. The thing that saves the Momentum for me is the rear "dump" pocket. It is high and narrow with a bit of stretch to it so a 16-20oz bottle slides in very nicely. It's just wide enough that I can slide my thermos mug in there too. This pocket is dedicated for a U-lock so I'm not sure what Osprey was thinking by not having a water bottle pocket; however, whether by accident or intent, the dump pocket is perfect for people that need to keep liquids at hand!

Honestly, if you want a pack that is well thought through buy from a company that is primarily a pack company like Osprey. NOT The North Face, or many others. Marmot makes great jackets, but horrible packs.

I've had this pack (S/M) for about a month and have used it daily for bicycle commuting and once for a weekend air-travel trip. I'm really happy with it. Finally a backpack that is made to use when riding a bike, that has a bunch of pockets, and that holds enough for a day at work, to the gym, to the shower, and back. There are a few changes that would make this pack perfect, but overall it's been worth my money.

Features:

I love the rain fly. It is bright yellow and comes out and on in about 10 seconds, and even has an attachment spot for a blinky. The lid lock works perfectly to snap my helmet (or a neck pillow)on the outside of my bag. The shoulder straps can be tucked into the bag and zipped away, and there are handles for carrying from the top or side of the pack. I've removed the detachable waist belt, but would put it back on for longer rides with heavier/bigger loads. The pack expands with a zip-around zipper, giving me enough room to easily fit a pair of running shoes when the bag had been too full to fit either before. The compression straps keep the load from being floppy (and were a must-have after my last pack). The sternum strap is adjustable and comfortable but I find I actually have to use it, which wasn't always the case with other packs. It may have something to due with my poly/nylon winter jacket, but the straps are slippery and don't seem to stay on unless I have fasten the sternum strap. This might be a good thing too, but I've never had a problem with chafing from shoulder straps on a bike(upper body doesn't move that much on a bike). The back panel is comfortable and does a great job at keeping any bulky or pointy items from jabbing me. In the winter, my outer layer is windproof and I always appreciate the added warmth of a pack, so I really have no comment on ventilation it allows.

Storage:

It holds more than I thought it would, I've packed running shoes, skirt, shirt, lightweight sweater, heels, along with a 14" laptop and a couple magazines, and was able to zip it up with no problem.

I love the compartmentalization. This pack has enough organization that I can fit all of my essentials (first aid, u-lock, snack bars, patch kit, mini-pump, micro-fiber rag, resistance bands, toiletries, chamois towel, wallet, makeup, pens, watch, jewelry, flip flops, etc.) without putting any of them in the main compartments. This is important both because I want to be able to access this stuff quickly, and also because I'm packing and unpacking daily with a change of clothes (or two).

The shoulder strap pockets (phone on the left (note: on S/M, it is not big enough for an iPhone, don't know about M/L) and keys (with a retractable key ring) on the right) are great, and don't get in the way at all for me.

I have to preface the next piece by saying that this is the best pack I've had for commuting. Osprey makes great packs. Having one of their other backpacking packs, I was thrilled to see their entry into the bike commuter market. That said, here's my biggest complaint about the Metropolis: The positing of the auxillary pockets could be better for everyday commuting use. When my pack is only lightly loaded, since I have the extra pockets full, most of the load is at the top of the pack. Even when it shouldn't be an issue, I still see the pack when I'm looking over my shoulder. (I'm on my bike, so this is important.) Whatever I put into the auxiliary pockets reduces the amount I can put into the main compartment. With the exception of the marsupial pouch and the shoulder strap pockets, the smaller storage pockets all expand into the main compartment instead of expanding outside the bag. So, when I have the auxiliary pockets filled (which I usually do), it means the main compartment isn't an approximate rectangle. I have to squeeze stuff into the bottom of bag where there is space the top is full with contents from the top pocket. I should say almost-the-bottom of the bag either side of the bottom of the bag is full with contents from the side pocket. What makes packing it especially annoying is the fact that the panel access (better than top load!) only unzips the top half of the bag. Getting a pair of dress slacks in without bunching them up is possible, but challenging.

If you want to carry a water bottle on the pack neither my nalgene or stainless steel bottles fit in the side pockets (28 oz range), and when I put a small 12 oz water it, it kept wanting to slide out. All of these bottles fit in the marsupial pouch. But of course, then they aren't accessible without removing the pack. I miss my old pack's mesh pocket. It held a water bottle or whatever else I stuffed in there a bandana, some candy, a pair of gloves. It was really nice to have one-handed access to a pocket on the fly. The size zip pockets have a little mesh webbing, but the webbing is loose so you still need to zip to keep anything from falling out.

There is a second compartment behind the main compartment that holds flat things, like a laptop. It has (what looks like) a waterproof zipper, and inside it has both a fastened pocket for a laptop and another inch or two deep pocket. I bet I could fit two laptops in it! Anyway, it works laptops and papers/books. I love that the laptop pocket is positioned toward the middle of the bag (instead of against the back). It gives the laptop a little more protection. Also the rain fly is in a pocket on the bottom of the pack, also offering a little protective padding down there.

Air travel:

Stuffed to the gills, it fit in the overhead bin (sideways). I had to take the neck pillow out from under the elastic helmet clip (lid lock) and had to pull my winter jacket out of the marsupial pouch, but that probably goes without saying. The fact that I could zip away the shoulder straps meant that I didn't dangle them in another passengers face as I put my bag up. (Sorry for not doing that the first time!)

Summary:

So, overall a great pack. Holds a ton, has awesome bike commuting features, has great compartmentalization, and feels secure and comfortable. I wish the main compartment were easier to load and unload, and that I didn't see it when I looked over my shoulder, but I don't think there is a better bag out there. (Note: immediately after buying this bag, I noticed that Osprey came out with a new cycling pack. Haven't fully investigated, but it may have some improvements over this one.)

This pack has all the bells and whistles you want in a pack. It has a pocket for everything located in the right place and you won't run out of room with it's capacity. My only gripe about this pack is the back panel. It's up against your back and doesn't allow any airflow between it, which means that your back will get sweaty quick. If the next iteration of this pack allowed some airflow or spaced padding to keep the back of the pack away from your back and allow airflow it would be a winner. I've returned the pack and will wait and see if Osprey will make that change. I bought both sizes when I considered purchasing the pack and at 5' 7.5" I decided to go with S/M. I felt the M/L was a little too big. Try both sizes if you can before deciding which size to purchase.

I've been using the pack for about a year for my bike commute in Oregon, USA. The pack is an absolute life saver both for comfort and features.

The back of the pack is relatively stiff which may not sound like the most comfortable thing, but it keeps any stiff items in the bag from poking you (i.e. books laptop chargers, water bottles etc), provides a wide and balanced platform for your load, and allows for the natural contours in your back to act as channels to bring air between you and the pack keeping you cool and dry.

Speaking of dry, Oregon is a wet and rainy place and if you're commuting with a few hundred or a few thousand dollars worth of books, electronics, and other important papers staying dry is key. The fold away rain flap does a great job of this. It has its own pocket at the bottom of the bag and can fold out and cover the bag in a matter of 15-20 seconds (great if you get stuck in a flash downpour). The cover also has a bungee cinch that keeps it tight to the bag, keeping water out and keeping the cover from turning into a sail. I use the two small outer pockets to carry my rain pants and a light rain coat so I'm always prepared to do battle with nature.

Like every thing else on the bag, the straps are well thought out. The shoulder straps are well padded and help to balance the load. A nice feature of the shoulder straps is that they can be unclipped at the waste and tucked into the bag so if you ever want to check the pack you won't have to worry about the straps getting caught on something and damaged. There is also a chest strap and a waist belt to keep the bag secure on your body if you're trying to ride fast. A pair of straps at the top of the shoulder straps allow you to adjust how high the bag rides on your back and a pair of cinch straps on the cargo compartment let you compact the bag to fit what you're carrying.

Size wise I like the bag a lot. The 34L bag is big enough for several books, a computer, a sweater, and probably some lunch. There haven't been many times that I was unable to fit everything I needed for a work day into the bag and honestly the few times I have run into issues it was probably for the better. At a certain point putting too much stuff on your back and going on a bike ride is probably verging on dangerous.

Finally Osprey's customer service is amazing. The bag comes with a lifetime warranty and they will replace broken clips and zippers even if you're probably at fault. I broke (stepped on) one of the waist strap buckles, sent an email to customer support showing which one had broke and had a new one within a week. I like a company that knows that they have a quality product and is willing to stand behind it even if it does cost a bit more than the other products on the market. They stand behind the product, I stand with them. I can't imagine I'll need to replace it for quite some time, but when that time comes I will look to osprey again for another quality product.

I love my yellow S/M pack it holds so much stuff when its expanded (once held three shoe boxes on a trip from work) and can zip up small and still hold my laptop. I am 5'9" and about 160 lbs and it fits me well. I actually have to tighten the chest strap just a couple inches from its tightest setting I would bet that the M/L bag would be way too big for me.

I have a Mac 15" laptop which is technically too small for the flap that holds laptops, but I put it in the gap right next to it which has an inch or more length. BUT this space is not padded when I put the bag on the floor sometimes I can hear the laptop banging on the floor. I solved that problem by keeping my spare tube in the bottom of that slot.

I hate that this bag doesn't have a place for a water bottle. If you commute by bike and train, which I do, I really want a spot to keep my bottle on the outsite of the bag because the bottle sweats i the summer.

I love the helmet clip! Love the rain cover. I love all the pockets I use every one of them for headphones, laptop power cord, building ID card, sunglasses, bike lock etc..

NOTE: the yellow looks sharp but I am halfway into my winter and its a dirty mess from all kicked up dirt on the roads, the occasional puddle and from the dirty subway trains. I wish I could trade it in for a black bag.

Carrot Ab-32001 Denim Backpack

I bought this product for an airplane trip as sort of a diaper bag so my hands could be free to hold my two year old. The bag suited us perfectly well for this purpose. It is comfortable to wear and lightweight and I love the color received a lot of compliments. It held our diapers/wipes and various toys, books, snacks, and drinks. I suppose the only thing I would prefer would be more inside pockets, there are only two small ones at the top inside. But otherwise I really loved this product.

My backpack came in the mail a few days early, and I'm so happy about it! This bag is a true khaki color, which the picture doesn't give justice too.

I haven't been out in the rain with it yet, but the material looks moderately weather resistant. It feels pretty sturdy, and fits comfortably when I wear it.

Like mentioned in other reviews, the straps bind with magnets which I actually adore! There is also a little hidden zipper for the external pocket.

To feel reassured, know that the magnets are sturdy. Don't get the impression this backpack has poor enclosure.

I've had a bag with functioning straps and it was a pain getting things in and out over and over again, so I appreciate an alternative way to pack up.

If you're not convinced with the magnets, there is a drawstring hidden away at the mouth so nothing sneaks out-despite the backpack having so much space inside.

The Little America is a very roomy bag, and proves to be an exceptional choice for collage students who are hauling books around and their other supplies and necessities.

The laptop pouch is a great addition too. I will say however, it is not a true fit for a 17 inch computer. I use a 15 in MacBook Pro, and it's the perfect size for this bag.

All in all, the Little America Backpack by Herschel Supply is an excellent buy. It's a beautiful bag that performs as well as it looks.

The backpack is quite nice and great in quality. My only remarks would be towards its organization and bulkiness. The straps are magnetic and many times have to be put in a certain fashion to stay. Also, theres really only three places to put your stuff. The lining for the laptop is soft, however even if it says it can fit up to 17 inches, it was a small squeeze for my 16.5

I took it to Greece for 2 weeks and used it on the ferries and planes as my carry on, and then for beach days, packed it with sunscreen and towels. This bag is big, and nice looking. There aren't many bags this big, looks this nice and has a reasonable price.

Carried it around over the weekend with my macbook pro 15" and a host of other devices and my shoulders were still doing well after a fair bit of walking.

It is also slightly waterproof and that kept my stuffs dry when it rained (the bag still got a bit wet)

It doesn't have good support for the back though so my back still hurt a bit from the carrying.

I've also noticed another guy carrying it in my school. His brown straps are already fraying quite badly, so I won't really recommend it if you are going for something really good looking.

Not enough pockets to put my gadgets' accessories too.

Then again, it's rather cheap for something like this.

Purchased as a gift for my boyfriend because he really wanted it and it was on sale for $69.99! Although when we got the backpack and he opened it up to inspect it the metal magnetic clip that hold the backpack closed broke on the left side which really bother him. He had to manually fix it because we called to ask for an exchange for a new one, but didn't want to pay for shipping back... So we just used handy tools and super glue to mend the magnetic clip back to the inside and it worked perfect. he enjoys the backpack and it is very sturdy because he puts his 15 in. laptop or is 17in? and it fits, along with his nursing books (which are heavy and huge)

I've used this as my daily-use backpack/laptop carrier for almost 2 1/2 years. It still looks nice it's aged well. I get compliments and people asking me where I got it frequently.

most JHS and SHS require mesh bags nowadays and the cheap ones last about 3-5 months before ripping this one however seems more durable. wasn't as big as I expected but it serves its purpose plus the kid has a taste for orange colored things right now.

What i didn't like :

Bag wasn't as solid orange as the orange in the picture.

When i got the bag, there was already a rip in the bag.

After a few weeks, the bag started ripping at the bottom sides and the front pocket as well.

IT has no shape so it's lumpy and sometimes annoying to carry on back.

It was so hard to close this bookbag and to put things in this bag.

Constantly have to fix my things inside because they would constantly move around.

Edit :

I forgot to say that even though i only put a binder and 1-2 composition books in it, it was still breaking. Can't really handle much.

Our school requires a see through back pack if we want to carry our stuff with us. This pack was a good price and it has been durable so far. The only issue I have is that it is 100% mesh so the back could be of a more supportive or durable material especially when carrying odd shaped things like pencils.

Fantastic bag; I'm in love with it. I've taken it to work (30 minute bus commute, 10 minute walk through the city, then 8 hours under my desk at the office) every day for roughly three weeks and the straps are starting to soften up and the body of the bag is starting to break in, so it is no longer as stiff and boxy as it was in the beginning. All the hardware feels sturdy, and I have no fear of things coming off the bag. Definitely feels like this will last for forever.

I ONLY wear it as a backpack, because the bag would have overwhelmed my 5' 2" 110 lb frame if worn across the body. I store my laptop, power cord, purse, and sometimes my folded up pea coat in the main compartment, with my phone, wallet, keys, candies, and other loose items in all the other pockets without incident. Because of the weight, the single leather strap has bruised right where I thread it through the ring (when converted to backpack form). Since I don't intend on wearing the bag as a messenger bag, I'm not too concerned about this, but just letting everyone who wants to switch back and forth, this might be an issue. The extra wide shoulder pads distribute the weight well, and I haven't had any trouble toting around my 20+ pound bag around. I did remove one of the shoulder pads and turn it around so both were facing the same way when worn as a backpack (this is another cosmetic thing)

Just a few extra notes (Some good, some bad, but mostly just observations):

Three weeks and the bag still smells of leather. It no longer overwhelms the room, but it's definitely there. I personally love it, so for me it isn't a thing.

I swear the bag attracts marks and scratches. I'm pretty rough on my bags and possessions in general, but for the first 24 hours, when I tried to baby this bag, I failed miserable. This bag is a scratch magnet, but it looks good that way. It's wearing in so beautifully.

The straps on the two side pockets are thinner than the main strap, and one of them is not tanned all the way through (resulting in a stiffer strap, though it's so thing it doesn't affect the functionality much)

The front main strap is attached to a single layer of leather that forms a secondary pocket. When worn as a backpack, this part gets pulled on and stretched, which causes a little warping. That layer won't lay flat for me anymore.

Because of the one-strap backpack conversion, it is little tricky to get the bag on. I normally set it up on my desk and wiggle into it. I'm not ashamed.

If you're a lady, it's probably best to put your hair up while wearing this, because I've snagged my shoulder-length hair so many times. So painful.

I wish Leyden and Sons would make backpack straps for those who want to semi-permanently convert the back this way; I'd be on them so fast!

All in all, I love this bag a lot. I look at it everyday, and it makes me happy. That in itself makes the price worth it for me =D

Let me start off by saying that this is a GREAT backpack. I'm a female professional in my 20's and I wanted a backpack that didn't make it look like I was still in Junior High. I got it in Brown and the color is GORGEOUS! Not too light, not too dark. The actual backpack is a bit heavy by itself because it is made of leather and has three extra pockets. However, I can fit my laptop, waterbottle, a change of clothing, wallet, keys, ipod, and cellphone comfortably. The buckles and snaps work fine for me. The only problem I have with this backpack is the insanely long straps. I'm 5"5 and with the straps in the tightest setting the bottom of the backpack still hit somewhere along my butt. I ended up using a screwdriver to poke my own holes in the belt for the strap. Other than that I love this thing. It's extremely durable and fashionable as well.

The bag cam earlier than expected! Although I didn't know it and wound up waiting until the date it said it would arrive to ask my doorman if it came. The bag is exactly what it looks like and is described as in the picture. I think I've carried it everyday since I got it. I can fit my computer, a change of clothes for the gym, folders for work and misc. items like hand sanitizer and eyes drops in the little pockets. GREAT PURCHASE!

So I have a smaller version (bag they'll fight over when you're dead!), which I bought about 2 years ago. The Vagabond bad arrived today. For SOOOOOO much less money than the other bag, these bags are very impressive. There are differences (mostly in the quality of the hardware/buckles), but you would not really notice without a side by side comparison. The Vagabond is lined, has dividers in the main section (3 parts), and looks way cool! It is a good size for a laptop (but is non-padded), a trip to the office with a ton of crap, or perhaps a quick overnight somewhere. Absolutely love it, and love the $400 I saved by not buying the other bag in this larger size.

Took the bag out a couple of rimes now, fully loaded. It does get pretty heavy.

I received mine almost 2 years ago. It went through a year of 2 1/2 hours on the train every day and has safely carried my large laptop the entire time. It shows no signs of degradation. The backpack feature was critical for the heavy load of lunch/books/computer, though it is not as comfortable as a normal backpack because both straps connect at the top-center. It IS a heavy bag made of 1/8" thick leather (maybe 4-5 lb) so be sure you can handle it.

I also have gotten many compliments on the looks of this bag.
