Osprey Sirrus 24-Litre Backpack
The front straps have three zipper compartments, two on the lower belt and one on the shoulder strap at chest height. The chest compartment just fits my Razor cell phone perfectly. If you have anything larger, like an IPhone, forget fitting it in there! In the two lower belt compartments I keep my Nikon Coolpix, tissues, trekking pole tips and lip balm. Wish they were larger as I feel like I'm going to loose things when fishing for something inside them. I have to fight with them to get the camera in and out which is a problem if I want to take a quick pic. Again, a glove-tight fit. They are located at the pelvic side front which is somewhat hard to reach. I would have liked to be able to adjust them to be more toward the front, but Osprey must have designed them this way to keep them out of the way when bending the legs up a steep incline, which is good. The Zipper pulls are ring-shaped and easily grasped. Having the belt compartments zipping closed from front to back (rather than from back to front) would have been more to my liking, as the plastic rings stick out and rub on my arms when hiking sleeveless in the summer. Go twelve miles with this and you have a red welt.
There are three back compartments which vary in size from large to small. The large fully unzipper-able compartment is perfect size for a first aid kit, headlamp, notebook, extra clothes and jacket, everything you need for a fun day, but is not be adequate for overnighters. I like that I can cinch down the load with the attached clasp tabs. In the medium size compartment, I put snacks, sunscreen and insect repellant. It's good for quick access supplies. It has a small license-sized mesh pocket. The small fixed compartment on top is not as easy to access with the pack on, as they advertise. It takes a little acrobatics to get to. But, it has a sewn-in bright orange key hook which is great. This pack needs more pockets inside the compartments!! I scavenged one off my old pack and sewed it into the large compartment, where small things seem to sink down and get lost, never to be found again. The side mesh pockets are good, easy access to water bottles, maps, gloves, etc. but too small for all the sundries I want at my fingertips. The trekking pole holder was one major reason I bought this pack. The how-to video shows a quick, easy process of stowing the poles, but it is not so easy reaching back with poles in hand to get them through the lower elastic cord, then through the front cord, hold the poles, press the toggle release button and pull the cord to tighten it around them. If I had three hands it would be no problem. Also, if you are sleeveless, the whole thing rubs against the tender upper arm area. I have to wrap a bandana around the top of my poles on summer treks to cover them and the protruding cord end. It's still great to put them away and have the hands free though.
One other big reason for purchasing this pack is the stow-away rain cover which I have used more than once so far -no worries about stuff getting wet. The cover is red, good for visibility on a dark day during hunting season. There is also a handy ice pick clasp at the back. You can retrofit it with a camelback too. The 3D tensioned mesh back panel really adds ventilation and comfort, but sheds off some of the surface of my fleece over-jacket.
The colors are beautiful and the look of this pack is so cool. Overall, I love it and would highly recommend it for any day hiker, nubie or veteran. This is a great backpack for hiking, and decent for city use too. I love the mesh back (no more sweaty back that makes you suddenly chilly when you take a break) and the frame is really amazing. With my old backpack, the same load felt about twice as heavy. The pack (in particular the waist strap) is really well-fitted to the female body. I've 5'4" and small build but I got the medium size because I'll be wearing heavy winter coats for a lot of the year. It cinched down to fit fine for summer hiking in only a tank top, but will definitely be big enough once it's puffy coat season too. A key for day-to-day use, my 17" laptop fits inside (even in a very hefty foam case) without straining the seams. The side mesh pockets are really great with their additional compression straps, although too narrow for a big nalgene which some might find unfortunate. Great for the aluminum type water bottles though. The only major problem is that the pockets are not very well suited for work/school use. For example, the bottom front pocket opens from the bottom of the pack. This is a handy pocket made much less easy to access because of this. This isn't super annoying if you're using the pack for hiking since I usually just toss the pack on its back when I'm getting things out, but in a work or especially in a school setting you're likely to be propping the pack up on its bottom and accessing it from the top, which makes this pocket impossible to get to. I also find the compression straps on the top to be a bit gratuitous. I never end up actually hooking them. But despite this I love the pack, and I think it's a good pack if you need something that works for both going to work/school, and going hiking on the weekends. I would purchase it again.

I love this pack. The hip pockets fit my camera and my GPS perfectly so that they are easily accessible without removing the pack, while the chest pocket fits my cell phone (an admittedly old LG Banter) snugly. Be sure to try this pack on somewhere before you buy it to ensure that you're getting the right size. When you get the right one, this pack fits like a dream. Hiking, I feel like I'm carrying nothing. The hip and chest belts distribute the weight so well that the pack and everything in it feel like they're part of me. It moves with me as I turn and scramble, and keeps my back from getting that big sweat spot that you get with normal packs. It can be a bit of a struggle to get a full 3 liter reservoir in the designated pocket. It takes a bit of finagling because of the structure of the frame holding the middle of the pack off your back. I imagine a smaller reservoir would be easier, but I haven't tried it. Once the reservoir is in the pack, though, it easily stays in place and is easily removed later.
I also haven't tried out the grab and go pole system, as I don't generally hike with poles, so unfortunately I can't comment on that. I actually like to keep the end of my water tube in the front loop.
Overall, I don't think I would change anything on this pack. It's comfortable, versatile, and functional. Plus, the purple is gorgeous. I could live in this pack.I'm using this as a school backpack. It's great for heavy premed textbooks and the weight is evenly distributed, which is a huge plus since i walk a lot and commute by bike. Mesh backing is great for keeping my back sweat-free. It's a little on the small side but manageable if you pack smart. Side pocketsare great for oatmeal/lunch sack and a water bottle. Rain fly comes in handy when it's drizzling outside.Just like my Stratus, only angled at the hips to shape a woman. Excellent frame and venitilation...suspension away from your back keeps your back cool and sweat free, plus is just plain more comfy. Love their easy to grasp zipper pulls and convenient hip pockets. Great day pack.

Eddie Bauer "Broadmoor" Diaper Backpack
The side pocket for bottles is too small to fit 2 10oz bottles... you can get one in though.
The bag is deep and hard to get into once filled. The Columbia bag zips all the way down so you can get in it better.
There just isn't enough room to fit all the stuff for a day out with baby. It will probably be better for a toddler because you need less stuff. Also might be ok if you exclusively breast feed and don't have to carry bottles and formula.

I really enjoyed being able to carry a bag on my back instead of my shoulders! I bought this bag and am now disappointed. The stitching on the front ripped. There is not much organization as it only has two pockets, and two zippered pockets. It is kinda bulky and fat! I wish I would have spent more for a better bag!Read Best Reviews of Eddie Bauer "Broadmoor" Diaper Backpack Here
Overall this is a good diaper bag. I like that it zips. Bags with Velcro closures eventually wear out. It's comfortable to wear and the insulated pocket for cups or bottles is great. I can fit two changes of clothes, 10 diapers, a pack of wipes, 2 toys, and it still isn't full. The only problem with this bag is that it doesn't sit up well. It tilts forward which can be frustrating when you are trying to pack it and when you are trying to get something out.We bought this bag because we thought it would be easier carrying a backpack. As far as space goes, it was ok. It would have been nice if it could open up more, as it was hard to get to whatever was in the bottom. However, the worst part is that it fell apart after less than a year. The stitching on the top of the bag came apart, and we eventually had to throw it out.Thursday, July 31, 2014
Military Inspired Canvas Sling Bag Bookbag Backpack Black
That being said, my husband will still use it, and likes the style. It fits wonderfully on his back and is comfortable. But I'm extremely frustrated over being so deceived.Despite other complaints that the backpack falls apart, I've owned mine for about a month and it's been just fine. Though I only carry a few gaming things in it. I normally use it when traveling to carry my PS Vita and 3DS and their respective chargers. I don't recommend loading it down because it would feel too heavy. It feels just right carrying the amount of things I put in it.

AmazonBasics Netbook Bag with Handle, Fits 7- to 10-Inch Netbooks, iPad, HP Touchpad (Black)
* The handles are the right thickness and "feel" they aren't just webbing that seems like an afterthought and feels uncomfortable, they appear to be made of a thinner Neoprene style material with stitching on the "grab" area to create a nicely-formed, nice-feeling, handle. At first I thought there was a "stiffener" inserted in the handle area to give it more shape and "grippability," but apparently its just a good choice of materials and a well-executed design. You won't need any additional handle wrapper to be comfortable!
I have another zipper case with a handle but would never feel comfortable carrying it by the handle around town. The handle is too flimsy to be comfortable and I don't trust the security of the construction/stitching. This AmazonBasics case is completely different. I feel like I can have my normal day back and carry this one by hand for quick and easy access on a commuter train or bus.
* The zipper, which runs only across the top and down each side about 2", is robust-looking it isn't one of those "narrow gauge" flimsy looking zippers (technically, it is a "coil" not a "flat lock" design).
* As another reviewer mentioned, the zipper tabs are large enough to find and operate quickly and easily, and they are a "soft rubber" that feels good to the touch. One minor negative is the large "amazon basics" lettering on the zipper pull. Actually it is beginning to grow on me yeah baby, I am too cheap (and too smart?) for Belkin or Built! (And got a better designed product.)
* There is NO zipper or "single stitch seam" at the bottom of the bag. Look carefully at some other designs. Make sure that when you send the bag down there is actual padding on the bottom of the bag so the netbook won't "slam" down hard on the table top, floor, etc. Some bags are just Neoprene panels that are sewn together at the seams along the perimeter, and the stitching compresses the Neoprene at the perimeter so it can't do its cushioning job.
My netbook nestles between the "panel seams" (the bag has two flat side panels, then a perimeter panel to give it width, just like a "normal," larger bag) and rests on normal thickness Neoprene.
* Because the zipper isn't full length on the sides (you only need the zipper across the top, it is plenty wide, for getting the netbook in and out), there is less risk of failing to close the zipper completely and having the device slip out one end.
* The inside of this bag is ORANGE so you can easily make sure you haven't left something inside.
* There is a zippered side-slot on the exterior of the bag which may, in fact, be large enough for a Nook as another reviewer noted. There is ample room for a typical power brick with cord, although that would pretty much ruin the appearance of the bag for carrying, but would be helpful for transiting security (if you have to remove power bricks as well as small computers).
I checked this side-slot for use with both an external DVD player and with a couple of external hard drives. All fit with room to spare (well, not at the same time!).
My preferred use for this side slot is to carry memory sticks and an older (3rd gen) iPod Touch. The Touch "boots up" much more quickly than a netbook for quick email and Facebook monitoring.
Recommended modifications/usage adjustments:
I will put some orange duct tape on one handle so I can keep a better eye on this through airport security (although I try to put my computer bag under my shoes and jacket in the bin through security).
If I end up not liking the Amazon zipper pulls, it is a simple job to cut them off and replace with lanyard style zipper pulls from REI or other sources. But I think I will keep the stock zipper pulls.
I will probably find an extra microfiber cloth and roll it up length-wise and lay it down across the entire width of the bottom seam to add extra padding there. It's always handy to have a microfiber cloth around anyway, for wiping the screen on the netbook (not required often) or for wiping my iPod Touch screen (required more often).
I won't store the power brick in the side slot. I don't like the bulge, not for appearance reasons so much as because it creates a potential pressure point against the netbook side. I will store a DVD player or external hard drive if I decide to carry one (the DVD player is useful for playing DVD's purchased on a trip, the external hard drive is useful if I am taking a low-capacity netbook in which I have installed an SSD solid state drive instead of a conventional hard drive).
I probably won't carry this around like a mini-attache. But the handles are almost indispensable in getting a secure grip on the case when inserting the case and netbook into my daily carry pack or into a laptop slot in carryon luggage. The greatest risk of damage is when we pull the case out of our other bag or put it back in, and handles GREATLY reduce the risk of slipping and dropping during those moments.
During storage at home, I will separate the battery from the main unit so it doesn't discharge, and the side slot is a perfect place to put it (diagonally).
A WORD ON PRICING: Amazon's prices on EVERYTHING fluctuate like the commodities market. This nice piece is selling for 20% less than when I bought it just last week (10 vs 12). You need to compare prices to other netbook bags an other online and bricks and mortar dealers before you buy so you don't get irate later! (At 12 bucks it was a bargain at 10 it's a steal!) This is the perfect iPad carrying case. I already use the official Apple iPad Case that folds over to protect the iPad from daily use, but now I will be able to carry it without worrying it will slip from my hands. I have been searching for a quality made carrying case with handles that would make it easier to carry my iPad from place to place. The AmazonBasics Netbook bag has been the answer. Unlike other iPad carrying cases I have been eyeballing, this Netbook bag is extremely affordable. The rubber grip zippers operate with ease and it is padded for added protection. I can even fit my iPad in it's case inside this bag without having to jam it in, there is plenty of extra room to spare. The side compartment is great to store my portable AC power adapter and digital camera. Great product.

Since I bought my netbook, I've been on the hunt for the perfect small case to tote it in. Almost every case I've used has been lacking in some way, but the AmazonBasics Netbook Bag with Handle comes the closest to the perfect case for me of anything I've tried thus far.Yes, I said it comes the closest, which implies there is something missing, so I'll start with that. It's a pretty minor thing, really, which is why I think the bag still deserves 5 stars. The only thing I would change is I would add a detachable shoulder strap. It's a small detail and one easily remedied by purchasing a universal shoulder strap to it. But if it already had that feature, it would be perfect in my eyes.
Let's move on to what I really appreciate about this case. First and formost, it fits my 10" Asus 1000HE very well while maintaining a small form factor that easily fits inside a larger case. The handles make it easy to pick up and run with when you want to leave the larger case behind and just tote the netbook with you.
On top of that, the zippered side pocket is roomy enough to hold the power adapter for my netbook without `squishing' it. Similar cases have had pockets that were too tight and worried me that they may damage the cable if I stuffed it in them. Not only can I fit the power adapter, but I also keep a Bluetooth mouse in that pocket.
The case has a small bit of padding all around, sufficiently protecting the device with just enough cushion.
If you've been looking for a small netbook bag that can double as a sleeve or an easy-to-tote case on the go, the AmazonBasics Netbook Bag with Handle is for you! This AmazonBasics Netbook Bag is just perfectly simple. No frills or thrills, it just does it's job and does it's job well.
It's ample size accommodates even the largest netbooks with ease without being too big or sloppy for the smaller 7 "and 8" netbooks.
The large and easy to grip zippers are a nice touch (I find far too many zippers too small for my large hands).
One side pouch allows for a little bit of storage of media or any sort of accessories you may have (or even a Kindle?).
The ultra soft neoprene rubber provides your netbook with plenty of cushioning and protection. No worries or need for any other "protection" on the netbook is needed.
And it's discreet appearance makes it suitable for a man or woman to carry it, so guys you wont look like you are carrying a purse around with you.
I am very happy with this case. You get exactly what you pay for, a quality case that will protect your netbook. Just love it.
Pros:
Cheap!
Very well constructed and made of quality materials.
Big zippers are easy to grip and use.
Love the bright Amazon.com orange color on the inside of the bag.
Cons:
Made in China...This is a great bag for carrying your iPad. The handles are super convenient. The bag is sturdy and also big enough to fit my iPad when it has a carrying sleeve on it for extra protection. Well, well worth the money!

SwissGear ScanSmart Laptop Backpack - Black
Cons I do find a few things odd to me. For instance: The rear compartment, where you put the laptop, has a zipper that goes down one side and only up as high as top center. I sometimes have trouoble getting my 15.6" laptop in and out of there. I cant imagine how easy to use it would be with a larger laptop. They should have at least let the zipper go all the way across the top.
The second thing that bothers me is the shoulder straps. I'm a large guy, 6'1" 250lbs and the padded part of the strap just makes it to my chest making it uncomfortable to carry using only 1 strap, like you see school kids do, so I've been wearing it using both straps.
Pros I would like to state again that I love the room this backpack has. It might not look it but it has volumes of room. I can easily carry my laptop, charger, mouse, phone charger, large bottle of ibuprophen, hairbrush, stain stick, dayplanner, lunch, dinner, two 2 liter bottles of soda, and a couple of books and still have some room to spare. This product is perfect for the college student. Ample interior space to lug everything around in. Great pocket storage and very sturdy. This is my second Swiss Gear purchase. I will continue to support this company.

I've had and used a SwissGear backpack since high school and well through college. Recently, I've been traveling more and the additional step of removing my notebook from my bag has been a hassle. Chances you may drop it, or even forget it at the checkpoint are constantly on your mind. My old bag provided great padding for my notebook and was still in great condition, but it was time to upgrade. This bag changed all that for me.I found this exact bag at a local Sam's Club for just under $40 and it's fantastic. I have passed through several airports Las Vegas (LAS), Seattle (SEA), Columbus (CMH), Orlando (MCO), New York (LGA) and countless others and have not yet had an issue with this bag. The TSA reserves the right to ask you to remove your notebook from your bag even in a ScanSmart bag, but not once since I have been using this bag have exercised that need. For storage the bag has a good amount of internal and external pockets for stowing electronics and various charging cables. The pockets on the side are great for holding my notebook charging cable and a bottled beverage.
This bag is sturdy and holds up really well. SwissGear offers a 5-year warranty with most of their bags but they are such great quality I've never had to use it so I can't comment on that process. One additional tip with this bag is when passing through security; you can put your Kippie/311 bag in the pocket inside the zip down section. As you zip your bag down flat, your Kippie/311 bag is right there for placing in one of the bins. Past the checkpoint it's easy to zip it back up and be on your way without delay. This backpack is awesome! I am a graduate student who travels often, so I really enjoy the scan smart feature and the laptop compartment is also easily accesible and nicely padded. It also has a ton of other really useful pockets that even keep me organized (which is quite a feat). Also, Swissgear backpacks last forever (my last one lasted almost 8 years). I would have given the backpack five stars except that the light grey portions of the backpack are much darker than they are pictured here.

Dakine Porter Messenger Bag
Buy Dakine Porter Messenger Bag Now
My hunt for a baby gear day-bag ended here. These come in some other grey/black colors with (I think perhaps) some coated ballistic nylon material which would have been nice. But I went with the crimson for aesthetics and it's still ballistic nylon with a water resistant backing so pretty decent at not leaving puddles on seats. The padding for the laptop is pretty much insulation for keeping necessary things cool, and the end pockets fit bottle and cups pretty well. Materials are top notch, though construction isn't quite as rugged as their heli-packs or rolltop bags and even though I haven't put this through too much abuse quite yet, it's pretty solid I expect it'll hold up for a few years. The waist strap is great when I have to be active (picking up, setting down, etc.) and can't have my poppa purse swinging around and sliding off my shoulder all the time. The pocket flaps are all integrated into the sides of the pockets so things aren't falling out when you bend over (hard to explain that feature). Cinch straps are all long enough for filling to capacity and still clipping closed.
Bottom Line: Perhaps it doesn't have the most hipster swag, but it's still a good looking, well designed messenger bag for being active, and that's what it all about.
(though I could always use a few more pockets, and full pu-coated nylon with fully welded seams... a guy can dream)

Everki Advance Laptop Bag - Briefcase, Fits up to 18.4-Inch (EKB407NCH18)
ASUS G Series G73
ASUS G Series G73JW
ASUS G Series G73JW-XN1
What bag will we use, and will we be able to back up our power supply?
I bought this bag with the aforementioned laptop. I can carry the laptop with a little bit of room to spare (in the main compartment). I can also pack in the power supply (front pocket) and my Kindle also with a 400 page 'real book'
This is the smallest bag I would buy for the Ausu G73. If you need bigger there is another one by Everki on this website.I can't begin to tell you how many hours I spent looking for a bag that would hold at laptop this large. I could not find any backpack that I trruly felt was a guaranteed fit. Let's face it, laptops with 18.4+ screens really are desk-top replacement computers (DTRs). My machine really won't be hauled around very much simply because it is so large, I have a 15" laptop for trips, but I did still need a carry case.
The Everki Advance is nothing fancy to look at. Rather plain in fact, but you really don't want to advertise that you are carrying an expensive computer in what could easily pass as a canvas briefcase.
The laptop compartment is top loading. The case does NOT open up clam shell style. The opening is sufficiently wide enough that it is easy to access. Unless you laptop is grossly thick, there is also room in that compartment for papers or folders but there is not a separator such as a nylon barrier that would keep any additional items from rubbing against your laptop. The zipper is high quality with adequately sized metal sliders with built in locking loop. This compartment is sufficienty padded, but I wish computer bag makers would put double padding across the bottom and the near bottom sides of bags. Come on, that's where the impact will most likely happen. I will probably find some dense foam and create my own extra layer of bottom cushion.
One side of the case has a zip open storage compartment that has five pockets for organizing small items as well as two pen slots. This compartment could be used for USB drives, external storage devices, power brick, etc. It opens up very wide, not access problems at all.
Then on the front side of the storage compartment there is a scoop slot pouch with a partial velcro closure that would be used for rapid access items. Perhaps a cell phone, car keys, passport, plane ticket, etc. The opening alone for this pocket is 9-1/2 inches wide, but the usable interior dimensions of this slot pocket are 12 inches deep and 15 inches wide. Everki did not waste space with this Advance Laptop Bag.
The interior and compartments are lined with an orangish nylon. It's not neon orange, but rather a brick-orange. I don't find this annoying, rather in dim lighting the orange coloring helps me find thinks that otherwise might be difficult like trying to find a small black USB drive in the bottom of an all black lined compartment.
The carry handles are a soft point. While they are strongly attached, the bridge of the handles are too soft and flexible. A more rigid design would actually be more comfortable to hand carry.
But when fully loaded, few people I would think will actually hand carry a heavy 18.+ laptop and all their gear. Thus the shoulder strap. The shoulder strap anchor points on the bag itself are strongly anchored, in fact rivited, and the fixtures are solid metal NOT plastic. Thank you Everki for the metal parts. The shoulder strap clips and hardware are also solid metal with a great feel and they don't appear as if they would accidentally be unclipped when attached. Not difficult to operate, but certainly secure. The strap is wide enough to match the bag and be able to carry the load and across the shoulder area itself is a curved ergonomic shoulder pad, another nice touch. I loaded up the bag and walked around for half an hour and yes it was heavy, but not uncomfortable.
Lastly, on the back side of the bag, opposite the accessory compartments, Everki has cleverly installed a sturdy 1-1/2 strip of straping with a 10 inch gap centered. That gap is for sliding the handle of wheeled luggage through. When not is use, the gap strap is held down with a 2 inch piece of velcro. Nice touch! Fits perfect on top of my American Tourister rolling carryon.
Overall, I am glad I found this bag. I set high standards and I like to project a quality image about myself, and this bag does nothing to reduce my image even as it really is pretty much simple and utilitarian. If you're in the 18.+ screen laptop arena, you're choices of bags are currently limited. I can recommend this one with no reservations.

This bag is GREAT! Great value for the money. The strap connections and zippers are great. The material looks great and seems very durable. The shoulder pad is actually padded, which is great. The orange interior makes finding things easy (which is great), especially compared to finding things in black-lined bags. And, the volume inside this bag is great. My 17.3" laptop has always seemed to stretch the corners of whatever bag I was using. I was always concerned about minor bumps against objects damaging the case. This bag is roomy enough to carry 2 computers, and the padding is excellent. No worries.
I will consider giving Everki bags as gifts to my friends and family.

I got this bag as a gift and the first thing I marveled at was how many pockets there are. There's a place for just about everything. The things that I'm not too happy about are: 1) the placement of the laptop compartment underneath the front flap. IMHO, this should really be in the center compartment of the bag. I find that when I'm only carrying my laptop, the bag will topple over on its side and never be able to stand up on its own. 2) There's zippers that open up on the bag so that you can put it on top of a rolling suitcase. I thought this was super handy at first, until the bag kept slipping off my suitcase and got all turned around on the handlebar. This bag can fit an enormous amount of stuff, but for the sake of your back (but probably not your fashion sense) you may want to consider getting a rolling laptop bag.

I purchased this bag after purchasing the same one for my husband previously. I was extremely impressed with the quality and functionality of this bag, so I purchased one for myself. This bag has everything you would hope to have as a laptop bag. But then again, it is an OGIO bag... they don't settle for mediocrity.I love this bag. The functionality is perfect, there's more room than I imagined I would need. Compact lightweight easy to carry. I recommend this for anyone looking to carry more than just a laptop.Saturday, March 8, 2014
Lowepro Transit Briefcase L Notebook Case - fits most 17 Inch Laptops, 15.4 Inch Widescreen Laptops
It fits my 15.4 laptop perfectly, with enough room to slide it in and out easily. There are plenty of pockets for the charging cord and optical mouse I use with the machine as well as for documents, cellphone and lots of other things.
The strap is remarkably comfortable and the handle is easy on the hands as well. Overall, this was a great product for the price and is well made, sturdy and functional. If you are needing a new case, give this one a look. This carrying case was perfect for me and my daughter. I bought one for each of us. I have a widescreen 15.4" and she has a 17" laptop. Both fit well. The quality seems to be very good and there is more storage space for papers, pens, etc. than you can shake a stick at. The only thing I don't like, is that I have a cooling pad for my laptop as a hedge against cooling system failure and it will not fit with the laptop. Other than that I would recommend this case highly. For the price it is a great buy. This Laptop bag is very well built and fits my Dell xps 17 perfectly. Its not too bulky like other laptop bags, but it does still provide the protection you want. I love it!Description states it fits up to 15.4" notebooks but it fits a 17" MacBook pro perfectly. There is about 3/4" of spare room around the MBP when it's in the sleeve. I've compared other 17" notebooks to the MBP and they are significantly larger. Seems the screen size is the same but the casing on other computers are larger.
The quality is par for Lowepro which is excellent. I would recommend this briefcase To a friend. 100% padding of your notebook when the zipper is zipped. It's a slim case so room for notebook, power cord and a few office staples.

Built Laptop Backpack Medium (Wood Grain Black)
I would not recommend it for anyone who has books or anything big to carry it is very tough to expand, and my 15" macbook pro is the tallest laptop that can fit into it.

Jansport Sputnik Backpack (Black)
This pack is very simple, which is just what my son needed this year. Our kids can go through several brand-x packs in a year without even trying, but have NEVER been able to destroy a Jansport pack. We still have every jansport pack we have ever purchased, and they are used for carry-ons or hiking packs. We only need to get new ones when they get to be too small or out-of-style (that color issue I mentioned earlier).

I got this Backpack for my 10 yr old son and he loves it!!! it's a good size and very strong for heavy books.I've been using this for over two years and it shows really very little signs of age. It's on the smaller side, and the laptop pouch doesn't really offer much protection so I don't use it, but it is attractive and does what it needs to.This backpack is awesome. Its durable, very good feeling on the back and shoulders, and isn't bulky beyond all reason. This can be a drawback if you're looking to haul around three large textbooks and some notebooks. Its got space for a laptop, one-ish textbooks, and some folders and notebooks. There are only two pockets, minus a wallet/cell phone pouch on top. One for the bulky stuff and one with internal little pockets, one about IPod Touch size with a velcro cover strap. This amount of gear real-estate has worked wonderfully for this senior in high school, and I'd highly recommend it to other people looking for a person with appropriate sizing needs.Friday, November 29, 2013
Timbuk2 Shagg Bag On-Strap Pouch
On the other hand, it is built very well and stays in place on the strap. I can find other uses for it, but if you have a phone with a decent sized screen, be careful when ordering.

The small size is perfect for an iPhone with attached headphones. My only "complaint" is that I'd rather have black stitching than blue, seems like it'd match other colors more easily.Perfect for the iPhone 4 and your favorite ear buds. Very well made and easy to get on and offI purchased this item in multiple colors to enable me to carry my Verizon HTC Thunderbolt smartphone on my belt. Even with the extended use battery, the phone fits in the case. I recommend this seemingly durable product to anyone with a large smartphone such as mine.

Okiedog Freckles Backpack, Back To The Future
While this bag is made of light and durable, easy clean material, there is no padding what so ever, which some people may like because you can fold up the bag for storage. The shoulder straps are lightly padded. The bag doesn't have structured shape unless packed or stuffed. My biggest problem with this bag is that there is no good place to put a water bottle. The internal slip pockets are not all the way down to the bottom of the bag, so with the weight of a bottle, it drags the bag down.
The bag comes with a changing pad, which is stored in the middle of the main compartment and a insulated bottle holder. Personally I think the price tag of $74.99 is steep for this bag.
