Barbie Hard Shell Rolling Luggage Case

My daughter received the Barbie suitcase before a big trip two week trip this past summer. She packed the bag herself. Took absolute responsibility for organizing and maintaining her clothes and toiletries. She was able to fit all of her clothes for the trip. The suitcase looks very sleek. Held up well to two weeks of moving around. Rolled well. She felt so grown up.

I gave it five stars for educational value because it allowed her to be very responsible. From the packing initially, to moving her items around from place to place, to maintaining order within it, this was a great opportunity for her to really step up and demonstrate control over this aspect of her life.

Be aware -there is a very thin, almost invisible layer of protective film covering the entire hard shell surface of this case! When I received it, I didn't know this and it looked like the whole cover was scratched -to the point I even contacted the seller to say that their "new" product didn't look new at all. But as I was looking it over and considering how I might be able to "fill in" the scratches, right around the seam of where the hard shell meets the pink zipper line, I saw a little bit of thin plastic film sticking up. I started to remove a little of it, and was even worried that I was taking off a layer of paint or "shine" or something, but lo and behold, underneath the film the shell looked beautiful. It was even shinier, and all the "scratches" pulled off with the film. So I wanted to write this to let people know that if the casing looks dull or scratched, check to see if the film has been removed!!!

Otherwise, I like this case. I'm giving it to my niece to use as her Barbie doll and clothes organizer, and the deep pocket on the side of the hard shell (once opened) is perfect for her doll clothes while the inside case with the elastic straps will house her dolls wonderfully. She loves it, and it's much better and more durable than those cheap plastic Barbie organizers you find at Toys R Us!

I got this for my 7 year old daughter. It's actually a nice sized case I'm sure it will fit everything she needs for up to a week's trip. It seems sturdy and high quality. It's light enough that I know she will be able to easily maneuver it through the airport, even when it's packed full of clothes. It has big inline-type wheels, so it rolls really well without flipping around or the wheels getting locked up. I also like that the handle locks at 2 different heights.

Ours came with a sticker instructing to remove the protective film; once the film is removed it does look really sharp shiny black, just like the picture. My daughter likes it because it looks "grown up" and it does look more mature than the really juvenille-looking rolling bags we looked at so I'm pretty confident that we'll be able to use it for several years as she matures. My only problem now? She wants to start packing tonight and we don't leave for 2 months!

My daughter loved it! I was worried the condition of the bag at first b/c when it arrived, it was not wrapped in plastic, or in a product box. It just arrived with the tags on it in the fedex shipping box. Upon taking it out, it looked as if it was not new, which kind of made me mad until I read the sticker on the front stating "Peel protective cover off". Once I peeled the protective covering off, the bag looked just like the picture. Very, very, fast delivery. Although, I was a little disappointed that the bag did not come in a product box or plastic wrap like my sons Toy Story luggage came. Anyway my daughter loved her birthday gift. Would recommend this product for children ages 2 to 10.

Bought this because my 16 months old boy loves his walking independence; he doesn't want to hold hands or walk with someone. The bag is big enough to hold essentials, few diapers, wipes, cup, snack, change of clothes, small toy. It fits well on him and the straps adjust so it will work well for a few years. The harness is great to help keep the straps on his shoulders. We tried it out in the house to see how he would do, he was confused when he couldn't keep walking and took the wrist strap from me to check it out. Haven't tried it out in a public place yet.

Osprey Talon 22-Litre Backpack

I received this pack as a gift (from my Amazon wishlist). I own the Talon 44 and use it for overnight backpacking trips. I needed a smaller pack for my bike commute and day hikes. Osprey has a long reputation for making quality packs, and their unconditional lifetime warranty can't be beat.

On to the Talon 22: My first impression after opening the pack was that the build quality feels really solid. The material is lightweight, but has a nice amount of stretch which should prevent most snags. The main interior compartment is very roomy, and I like that the hydration pouch is separate. This will help keep stuff inside dry and free from condensation from your bladder. For commuting I am carrying a macbook air, a notebook, a folder, my lunch and sometimes a change of clothes. There is more than enough room for these items, plus a 2 liter bladder.

Pros:

Helmet holder (also works great for a nalgene bottle)

Nice material

High quality stitching

Lots of adjustment

Airscape back allows for great air flow

Top access zipper compartment for small loose items.

Cons:

A bit expensive for a day pack, but the lifetime warranty and quality make up for it

Overall: I would highly recommend this pack for commuting or day hikes. Outstanding quality, comfortable fit (6'1", 210 lb)

I use this for sport climbing to carry my Petzl Elios helmet (using the LidLock), 12-14 quick draws in the top pocket, a 70m 9.4mm rope in the main compartment (with a first aid kit in the Velcro pouch), along with a 3L water reservoir. You can fold back the waist pockets to keep them out of the way and to store a few smaller items such as wallet and cellphone. I hook my shoes and harness along with chalk bag to the top loop. I carry my Kindle with guidebooks in the small pouch on the outside. I don't usually pack much food on my climbing trips, but you could squeeze in a few protein bars or trail mix. It is amazing a pack this small can fit so much. In total, this bag has been able to handle 20-30 lbs of gear comfortably, with a small load it can pack very small. I have an Osprey Atmos 65 for backpacking, and this bag is a perfect compliment to it for single day adventures.

By all rights this should be a five star review. This pack is really well-designed and looks beautiful. I just bought it a week ago so it's hard to say how it will wear but as far as I can tell I'm going to be really happy with it.

EXCEPT.... on the second day of use I pulled the Lidlock clip out a bit and the Lidlock cord just straight up fell out. It basically tore off and just pulled all the way out of the side that was attached to the backpack.

This really bummed me out. Not because I actually even needed the Lidlock (I was just looking at it). But if this cord tore out with a quick pull (and not a hard pull), what other aspects of this pack are defective?

I paid a lot of money for this pack with the expectation that it was high quality. Now I'm not so sure.

I know that the best of products will have a defect from time to time and I know I can get this repaired for free. But to have a defect right off the bat was just kind of a bummer.

I hope to have the opportunity to leave a five star review for an Osprey pack some day as, so far, this pack is otherwise really fantastic.

******* UPDATE (12/13/2011) Five months later and the pack has been put to a LOT of use and has been excellent! No other defects, very well-designed. I am changing from three stars to four stars.

Nice backpack overall, with a few awkward design points. It is highly adjustable and comfortable overall. I am 5'8" and the M/L is probably just a touch big; but I also tried on the Small, and it was just way too small. But a t my height, I have to really cinch down a lot of straps, so have straps flapping all over the place. Some of the straps loop about, so they end up becoming an irritation on my arm as I walk and hike. These looped straps need to be tucked somewhere, but they always end up popping back out. I have resorted to using chip clips to keep them down. The second issue is the bottom of the pack and the way it droops down if you put something like a book of Kindle in it. The bottom of the pack is loose fabric, so putting anything somewhat heavy at the bottom means that the bottom of the back then protrudes past the waist belt and ends up running on the small of your back below the pack's waist belt. I remedied this by putting soft stuff on the bottom, and things like a book on top of that. Thirdly, the pack has no rigidity at all, so it kind of bends and bows if you do not pack and cinch it right. This means it can bend away from your mid-back area, or it has also has a tendency for me to lean back and bow/fold in the middle, especially since I cannot put heavier items on the bottom per my previous comment. Fourth, it is very difficult to reach the water bottle pocket. I find that I have to remove the pack every time I want to access my water. Finally, the zippered waist pouches on the belt are located a little too far to the side. If you out a small camera or anything else with bulk in there, the pocket tends to rub up against your arms. Still, the pack is well-designed and streamlined overall. I like the features better than some others I looked at when making my decision on a day pack. It's a good choice overall. Zippers are solid; there is a handy mesh pouch at the top of in the main compartment; the top zippered compartment is spacious; and the pouches on the belt are nice but not placed very well. More challenging to cinch this pack down, but it is adequate. I like the bike helmet clasp; and it will hold your hiking pole. Still recommend despite some of the shortcomings.

I'm currently using this backpack as a student bike-commuter. I bike about 20 minutes to campus everyday, and I wanted something that wouldn't have my back drenched in sweat when I get to my destination. I really debated hard between this and other backpacks that claim this "back air space" for this purpose. I am very satisfied with this one! In addition, I think the style is great. I've gotten complements as well.

I would say the size is a bit awkward for a student backpack the volume is great, but its volume is vertical not horizontal, but it does fit my macbook laptop plus a couple books. I also use this bag to do my grocery (Trader Joe runs). I can fit a full basket into it (assuming the sizes are not too awkward). BUT even if all my grocery doesn't fit inside the backpack, it has a clip on the top where I clip my plastic bags I've done it more than 8 times and it hasn't failed yet! Thats where I put vegetables or fruit that didnt fit inside the bag. Keep in mind I just bike to and from the grocery store, so I can't really hold on to anything. So this says a lot about the backpack's capability.

I like the straps (waist and chest), but in the beginning it looked like they were a lot of straps. It takes a little bit of ingenuity to wrap them up and make them look tidy, so as not to look like there are 100 straps (so play around with when you first buy it, but some people actually like the "strappy" look). I like the waist pockets too! I put my wallet there, and its really reliable for quick access. I have not used the hydration packet, but maybe when I do more serious hikes.

So so far I've used this for a month now as a student backpack, and I highly recommend it!

One downside: so sure not everything in life is perfect. Its not as waterproof as I thought,but you can buy the watercover, which is separate. But it doesn't rain much in LA, so it hasn't been an issue for me. But when I go for hikes, perhaps it would be smart to get a water cover.

I am very impressed with Osprey!

I purchased this backpack for my sons 2012 school year ... He had been asking for it all summer... Even though it was pricey I thought he would really enjoy it. Well School started Aug 15th and By August 25th one of the shoulder straps completely ripped off!! After 3 hours of trying to sew it back on I was able to make it work. Now It is hardly the middle of October and the zippers no longer work. This is such a dissapointment and a complete waste of my money!!! This backpack is very expensive! It should be made out of better quality!!

My son loved this backpack while it lasted, but unfortunately it only lasted half a school year. As soon as I received it I could see that it was a "cheaply" made backpack. The zipper broke after a few months of very light usage of a 1st grader (he only carried a lunchbox inside his bag every day).

I always try to order my son something different for use at school, so he doesn't have the typical wal-mart backpack like everyone else, plus, Pokemon stuff is kind of hard to find. I bought backpacks on Amazon in the years before with absolutely no problem. This backpack, however, was not the same! This backpack is VERY cheap feeling. It looks cute, but within in one week of my 3rd grader using it, it fell apart. One seam busted completely out (and he doesn't even carry textbooks or anything heavy) and both zippers broke and we fixed them twice, but after that, there was nothing left to do. This is garbage, unless you are just looking for something to pack for sleepovers, I would not suggest buying this. This backpack had to be thrown away, and I never throw things away! But I couldn't even salvage this anymore. :( Shabby quality for something with that high of a price!

Seattle Sports Co. Aquaknot Dry Bag Backpack

I bought this for wet canyoneering (descending canyons) in Utah.

Pros: Very comfortable, nice looking, and mostly waterproof (easily sufficient for most activities like boating or hiking, but make sure it is tightly rolled if completely submergingI would still use individual dry bags for important things like cameras).

Cons: NOT abrasion resistant (the bottom quickly sprouted several holes after just 30 minutes of scrambling down a boulder filled creek, with the bottom occasionally rubbing). And there goes any waterproofness.

The manufacturer gave ZERO comment or reply when contacted about this and offered suggestions for improvement.

This bag arrived ontime and in good shape. It's bigger than you would think. Considering that its a waterproof bag, the opening of it does not have a waterproof seal. I dont need a totally waterproof bag, but be warned. The bag looks nice and its comfortable.

I got this backpack to use for school because I bike and Ive gotten stuck in the rain and had a few books ruined. Unfortunately, this pack wont even hold a standard size text book comfortably. Ive been using is for about a semester now. The first thing to go was the clasp at the top. It snapped off within a couple weeks. It actually was not even being used at the time. I had set in the seat of the car (a nice and cushy seat, not a hard floor mind you) and the clasp snapped in half when the bag was set down. Like I said, it wont hold my full size books, so I doubt it was due to the weight of the bag on top of the clasp. It was just pretty flimsy. In addition, the edges of the bag have begun to fray. This also began pretty early on. It seems as though the edges do not have a fray-block adhesive. It really does not hold as much as I though it would, which is unfourtunate. It would be ok for an occasional day pack for maybe a change of clothes and a snack but I wouldn't use it for an overnight canoe trip. Like one of the previous commenters, this pack would be good for use at a theme park where you only go a few times a year and that is all the pack is used for. If you plan to use it more than a few times per year it probably wont hold up. If I had the option to buy this pack again, I would not. It does however, keep everything completely dry, even with the broken clasp.

I bought this product to carry a fairly expensive camera plus a few accessories and possibly an extra lens at times. Then with some good organization and folding techniques, can add a set of dry clothes and a few other small dry goods in a way which cradles and cushions the camera. Use it kayaking, hiking in rain, etc. Just recently I was on a moored boat in a bay off the island of Culebrita. We loaded a surfboard with dry goods and swam to shore. The waves were fairly rough there and the Aquaknot fell off. It tumbled in every which direction before I could retrieve it. But very fortunately everything inside stayed completely DRY!

This bag is of decent quality, but nowhere near the discontinued leather Samsonite backpack I was trying to replace. The inside is delineated with thin, rough material (it looks silky in the picture, which it is not). The straps are of just average quality. The interior compartments are only separate by a thin layer of material rather than padding.

My guess is that if you are a fan of Samsonite products you will be surprised by the lack of quality in this particular product.

That said, for the price, it is likely a good value. I'd go see it in a store before purchase.

very nice bag, looks elegant, and is big enough for your laptop up to 16", and a book or two maybe, if your laptop is 14" maybe this one is a little big for you!. The outside/inside color contrast is great, also it is easy to get your stuff organized thanks to many different size pockets available.

I went to Best Buy, Frys and Target to try out a bunch of laptop backpacks; I walk to work everyday and I wanted something durable and functional. I have fairly simple requirements -

1. Should have separate zippable compartments for the laptop and the rest of the stuff.

2. Low unladen weight.

3. Strong but comfortable shoulder straps and carry handle (I hate cable based handles).

This backpack was not fancy looking, but it was well built and met all my requirements. The zippers and the inner linings were made of quality materials.

For protecting the laptop from bumps when placed on the ground, there is a zig-zag ruber insert at the bottom. This works very well and is not a gimmick.

I have had it for about a year now and I walk to work everyday it has been comfortable to carry and looks as good as new.

Highly recommended.

Cute little back pack. My 7 year old LOVES it! Good quality and very sweet. About 17 tall with a roomy enough zippered pocket in the back to stash a few toys in. Sea to Summit Ultra-Sil Dry Day Pack (22-Liter)

Compact and very light-weight. First day I filled it up with several water bottles (15-20 lbs) and took a short walk. At first I had my doubts (I am used to having a waist strap). It felt a little small and pulled back on my shoulders. However, after about 15 minutes I actually forgot it was there. It was very comfortable and carried the weight well. I did not test the waterproofness but I am sure I will have an opportunity in the near future. It is a bit pricy but I feel it is worth it if you want a compact ultra-light pack that can be used on the trail or around town.

This is a great pack for me. I am traveling Southeast Asia and China with a 34 L pack for several months, and this day pack scrunches down to smaller than my fist. Also, the waterproofing is very good. I would not dunk it under water, however none of my things have ever gotten wet from rain and I have been through some very heavy rain in the rainy seasons here. It fits a lot of stuff too, almost what my normal bag would hold! =). It even has some draw strings on the outside so you can put some extra stuff there. Definitely a well thought out design and worth the investment if you need such features as small size and waterproofing.

I'm an experienced ultralight backpacker and was looking for something inexpensive (compared to high end cuben fiber backpacks) to use as a daypack. This product fits the bill except for one thing: The straps are really not much better than raw cord.

The silnylon that goes over the shoulders has no structure to it so it bunches up and puts a lot of pressure on your shoulders, and the silnylon portion is so short that it switches to chafing paracord well above where it should.

Part of the issue is that I'm significantly larger than most (6'5" 240lbs) so the strap length might be fine for less freakish dimensions.

I'm not going to return it. I think I'll still be able to get dayhike use out of it provided I don't ever have to load it up with more than a couple liters of water, but it's carry comfort for anything but the very lightest of weights is questionable and something that should be considered by any future purchasers.

Off-white Canvas Backpack School Bag Super Cute for School-By JAM Closet

My bag got a hole by the bottom strap pretty quickly. Also, the magnetic snaps pop open often, particularly on the side pouches. It becomes less useful the more you stuff it with stuff. It is cute though.

This bag is a lot bigger than what I thought it was going to be. The straps on the backpack are really small and hard to put it on your shoulders.

Bought this bag for 9.00 and some change from a seller who advertised it as like new. Was looking at a codi diplomat bag for 88.00.

I would have paid the 88.00 for this bag and would have been satisfied with the purchase.

Nice bag, compact but with several compartments for the computer, books, magazines....pens and pencils, CDs and other junk.

This bag will not hold even a 15.4 inch computer. I am currently using it for my 14 inch dell latitude but will be taking a 15.4 inch HP in it on trips. A 15.4 wont fit in the dedicated computer section but it will fit in the middle compartment and if you treat your bag the way you should...then computer safety in this middle compartment should be fine.

I believe codi makes a diplomat bag for 17 inch computers and I might buy one at regular retail price...but now Im looking for something in leather......lol

I use this backpack to transport my 15" MacBook Pro and it gives you plenty of space to put everything else you need.

The materials are very durable, the colors and the design are very good too, it has an iPod/Walkman, etc pocket with an audio cable that lets you connect your headsets to the exterior of the backpack using a concealed connector. this is fantastic!!

On the other hand, it gives you enough pockets for you to organize the various gadgets you can use.

At the beginning, The backpack was a little on the stiff side but with use, it gets a little bit more comfortable. If i was to give a feedback on the design itself, I would put a little bit more cushion on the straps but, other than that, this is a wonderful backpack for a very reasonably price.

Light, rugged, convenient, good looking... I would buy it again.

Amazing Backpack!!!

Here is what I would have wanted to know about this pack and exactly WHY (I love it) and gave it 5 stars:

1) IPOD PLUG. I love the most about this pack is the Plug on the back strap for my earbuds to my IPod. Located on the back straps running a cord directly into the inside of the backpack into a little pocket that you put your IPod into. So darn cool. You can also use headphones instead of earbuds.

2) WATER BOTTLE HOLDER ON THE SIDE. There are two water bottle holders on the side of the pack. Awesome! TWO!!

3) PADDING I also love the amount of padding in this pack.I love a good back pack but sometimes the padding leaves something to be desired. The padding on this pack is more then adequate, for sure!!

4) ROOMY. Its quite deceiving when you first get it, there is so much SPACE!! It looks like a regular size backpack but I starting putting my school things in it and just had tons and tons of room. I can fit three laptop computers in here, plus books and paper.

5) KEY POCKET ON OUTSIDE. There is a small pocket on the outside for keys, for easy access.

6) INSIDE POCKETS. The inside pocket has space for a cell phone, pens and small things that could easily be a problem at the bottom of the pack to find. Good thinking here!

7) WATERPROOF MATERIAL. Essential and Strong.

8) ZIPPERS. They all have pull tabs that are easy to pull.

If you have a student in your family, this is ALL he or she will need to feel safe, organized and hydrated. This is a great backpack!

This backpack is awesome. I got it for my husband and he is so happy with it. We are both pleased with how padded the backpack is. There is space for so many extra things too. The straps that go over your shoulders are very comfortable. We had had one in the past that was not built as nicely as this one is and it quickly came apart. This one is built to last. Comfortable to wear, spacious interior and padding that makes you know that your laptop is safe. What more could you ask. This is definitely one to consider purchasing. We give it an A+++

I was interested in a new backpack, specifically because my old one only has like three pockets. I'm always drawn to a backpack with tons of pockets, which this backpack surely has. Of course, these pockets aren't made just to please me; this backpack is specially designed for laptops, netbooks, tablets, and the like and it handles these amply. The largest pocket is perfect for laptops, and it has a smaller dividing pocket in the compartment which you could shove just about any flat thing into (book, tablet, etc.). There is also a very small soft pocket right next to it in which you could put small accessories of some type. The next biggest pocket has a bunch of smaller inner pockets aside from the large empty area that you can put a ton of small accessories in (flash drive, cables, pens, etc.). The last pocket is on the very back and is rather small, so it wouldn't fit anything much bigger than a flash drive or a USB cable. The backpack also features two side pockets for holding drink bottles. Overall, a nice number of pockets.

As for the actual functionality of the backpack, I feel like the strapped are nicely padded and comfortable, but it does have a few flaws. First off, the zipper on the main pocket tends to be a bit hard to zip and unzip, mostly due to the fabric flap that covers the zipper. The backpack also has these two straps on the outside that dangle in an irritating fashion if you don't snap them closed, but also prevent you from fully opening the zippers if it is snapped closed. I'm not really sure what their purpose is, but I found them kind of annoying. The only other complaint I have is not really much of a complaint, it's just more of an unnecessary feature. You may have noticed the MP3 jack on the strap and wondered how that works. It literally attaches to an input jack that goes to a small pocket on the inside of the backpack. Why does this need to exist? I can't imagine that anyone would actually want to use this. I mean, imagine that you stick your mp3 player into that little pocket inside the pack, then you can't ever pause, change songs, adjust volume, or anything as your walking. I mean, anyone with an mp3 player would probably just stick it in their pocket as they walk (which is what I do). Oh well, if you don't want/need to use the jack, you don't have to. Anyway, those are the only real flaws that I noticed. All in all, it's a nice backpack for it's purpose, and I can't complain much.

ful Unisex Adult Refugee Laptop Backpack

For some reason I really like buying bags and backpacks. I really don't have a lot to carry around, I just think they are cool. I own a lot of backpacks and this is the coolest one. It has pouches and hideaways with zippers for everything. There are pockets and pouches in all the right spots. One of the things that really bothers me with backpacks are cheap zippers. I can tell you that ful has gone all out to place premium zippers on this product. These bad boys are meant to last a lifetime like the rest of this pack. I would highly recommend the bag in what ever color you choose. The seller also offered it at a great price with quick shipping. Overall a five star experience.

The Ful Refugee bag is GREAT buy(doesn't really look like a refugee bag though). It's very strong, very comfortable, very sleek-looking, and most importantly it's FUNCTIONAL. I was little hesitant buying this, because there hasn't been many reviews, but because this bag have a no-question asked 30-day return with paid shipping from amazon, I took the plunge(plus the fact that when I saw the silver one with red accents, it reminds me of Mass Effect uniforms = BUY). I have to say I do not regret my desicion at all.

The first thing I noticed is how trendy and cool-looking this backpack is. It has a overall rectangular design which gives it a very controlled look. Looking at it from the front, the rectangular compartments on the front and on both sides really stand out, giving the bag a very unique and modern look. This backpack is not really as slim as many laptop backpacks nowadays, but because of it's well defined shape, it definitely gives you the same sort of "slim" look. For example, even with a full load, this bag does not bulge out at all, making it very comfortale to sit in a chair for a short while without taking off the bag.

The construction of this bag is top notch. Zippers are heavy duty and really smooth. The two padded main back straps are sewed on securely, and are connected by the top handle. I find it to be a very good design, when I just wanna sling it over and wear only 1 strap, the handle sort of distributes the weight so the single strap won't be stressed out. The entire back has a stiff pading, so the bag won't slouch over when it's empty. The underside is made of a tough leathery material, and feels very heavy duty and water resistant (very important with a laptop inside!). The bag feels pretty comfortable. Though the material of the straps are a little stiff, so if it's touching any skin, it might be a little irritating. I hope with wear it will soften up a bit. It has all the usual pockets and pouches. I will just highlight 2 features that I really like. First, the Main compartment is very roomy and opens all around like a suitcase, I can easily put all my notebooks and textboks neatly inside. However, there is no dividers in the main compartment, so if that's important to you, this might not be the bag to get. Second, the laptop compartment opens from the side. It's a really cool feature that let me take out my laptop on the go very easity. I just take off one strap, unzip from the side, and pull out my laptop. The pocket is very large, it goes almost length of the entire bag, it SHOULD have no problem holding a 17in (I have a ~13in thinkpad x220, and there's PLENTY of room). Also the laptop compartment is suspended, meaning it does NOT touch the bottom of the bag, a very important feature for me because I like to throw my backpacks on the floor. :P

If you are looking for a bag for you laptop or just general use, do yourself a favor and order the Ful Refugee backpack. Highly recommended!!

I purchased this pack to replace an $15 one that I had purchases at walmart a few years ago. So far it has been a good choice in my opinion. There are a few things I don't like about it but I decided they were pretty minor.

I have 5 classes this semester of college and 1 inch folders for each class along with the books which all range between 1 inch and 2 inches thick. At most I can fit about 3 classes worth of material in the bag. The limiting factor is the rubber base on the bottom of the pack. While it does well at protecting the stuff inside of it, it doesn't expand very well.

The pockets on the side are pretty worthless. I have a TI-83 graphing calculator and it barely fits into the small pocket on the side. I use the large one as a water bottle pocket since there is no dedicated water bottle pocket on this pack. A 20 oz camelback fits pretty well in it. a .5 Liter would be able to be zipped up inside of it i think.

Some of the reviews say that the laptop pocket is suspended off of the ground but from what i could tell it's not. I have a 15.4" macbook pro and I was afraid it wouldn't fit when i first tried it out. I really do like having the laptop pocket separated from the rest of the pack though. The front pocket fits the charger perfectly and the pocket for pencils and whatnot is laid out very nicely. The pocket for music players is nice but very annoying. It gets in the way of books and other items in the main pocket.

All in all I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

Last week i put my macbook pro into the rear laptop pocket and noticed a huge tear in the material just from normal use. I don't recall snagging it on anything. The $8 pack i bought from walmart lasted longer than this... Bumping the rating back to 3 stars.

We were looking for something suitable to travel with babies and toddlers on flights as carry on bags. The specialty "baby" backpacks were to baby specific and as kids grow up so do their needs so we wanted something that would see us through for a while. From previous travel experiences, we knew we had to find a back with lots of discreet pockets (storage areas)to save us digging around in a back pack or unpacking the whole thing just get that one item we need.

For parents, this is how we intend to use it:

Tall side pocket for good drinks bottle.

2 half size side pockets to be used for "take and toss" style cups and quick to get to snacks like Baby Mum-Mum or crackers etc.

Bottom front pocket for wet wipes container. Nice and quick to get to when you need them in a hurry

Angled front pocket big enough to fit iPhone.

Large front pocket great for pens, travel documents, passports, magazines etc. There are lots of smaller pockets inside this compartment to keep things organised.

Main compartment A good size and I really like that when the bag is laid flat you can open it almost fully like you would a suitcase. It means you can see everything without having to dig around blindly from the top. Allows you to pack more efficiently too.

The top compartment is designed for use with a media player. For us passports, wallets and boarding passes for really quick access.

The laptop compartment is sizeable and we will probably use it to slide in some nappies (diapers)or use it for kids books and colouring books for in flight distractions.

The mobile phone pocket attached to the straps is ridiculously small and unless you are using an old Ericsonn type of phone its useless. The only down side so far.

The pack is padded and so are the straps, making it quite comfortable to carry. Especially for my wife.

Straps pull tight easily and loosen easily.

I like the handle which allows you to carry it like a suitcase if necessary. Easier to grab.

The construction looks robust and the material is thick and strong.

Good quality zippers.

Its a medium size bag and for us its just perfect. Not too big and not too small. I am sure it will easily slide under the airline seat for take off and landing. As a parent you always need that bag available as you never know what your kids will spill/mess/cry for next.

This back pack can stand up on its own, unlike the previous reviewer states. However it is a backpack and the way you pack it will make the difference as to whether it is balanced enough to stay upright.

Now all I need is to organise a few trips to use it and see if it lasts. I feel confident it will!

The pack I ordered arrived with a cosmetic flaw that affected the pack's functionality. The heavy-gauge plastic material comprising the bottom third of the pack had become creased and misshapen in storage and transit and held a form other than that pictured and expected. I decided to send it back. Also, I found the straps weren't contoured enough. As a result they bit into the shoulders on both sides. I could have lived with that, but the permanent crease as described was not cool.

Perfect bag for taking a few things to the gym or golf course (pair of shoes and shirt, etc). Not too big like so many others. Stays fairly structured to make finding items easier. Solid, sturdy construction. Side exterior pocket could be a little bigger.

When I got this bag, I actually thought it was too big and slouchy--I was looking for something tiny. But it turns out that when you have a bigger bag, you find things to put in it. I regularly use this for my (small) gym shoes and clothes, sweater/sweatshirt, and lunch. I also often end up using it for heavy groceries! The pocket in front is great for small items, like my gym card and accessories I'm bringing to work. You can look at the dimensions and decide for yourself, but I honestly can't imagine that this bag would be too small for most people's shoes and clothes, even men with big feet.

Jeep "Puppy" Animal Backpack Harness

I had the monkey backpack for my son and after loving it, I chose this one for my daughter even though she isn't old enough to need it yet. It is incredibly soft and really cute! After reading the first review, I "tested" it out around the house with my son (he was willing to participate lol). I can't comment on long term use, but it held up with him finding it hilarious to try and "run away" with me still holding the strap which made it tug on the strap and him go backwards. You have to have some fun sometimes!! :) Nothing broke and he's 5 so I'm hoping it means that the first reviewer just got a dud. I'm giving it 4 stars and will update it if necessary whenever I use it for it's actual intended purpose.

This has held up well! My daughter is 2.5 and hates the stroller. Living in FL and having passes to SeaWorld, we go often, which means this gets used often. I upped my rating from 4 stars, to 5 stars. I have absolutely no complaints. Also, my daughter who HATES being confined has no problems when we use this (probably because she knows that the alternative is the stroller).

I have had 3 or 4 different types/brands harnesses for my 3 kids (6 and under) these are by far the best. soft strap (some other ones if not placed perfectly chafe skin) and more comfortable to wear (plus the kids love the characters) :) would definately recommend and the price is pretty good too :)

It it very well made, soft, light weight, the straps are adjustable to any frame. They even fixed the leash; it is now at the bottom of the back pack so no more chocking hazard.
