Tucano Work Out Backpack for 13" and 15" MacBook Pro
I wanted a backpack to relieve me from back and shoulder pans caused by carrying heavy shoulder bags. I was very careful in picking this one because as a professional I didn't want something childish looking nor did I want something that would make me look like I was student. This fit the bill perfectly.a perfect backpack for the daily commute to work. the design makes it feel very light to carry around. not to mention a stylish design.

Love Shop Free Soldier Outdoor Military 1000D Waterproof Nylon Combination Hiking Backpack
The pack shipped pretty quickly and arrived in a little over a week. They required signature confirmation, and when I wasn't home to receive the package, they called me (and emailed me) from China (at 9pm) to make sure I knew to pick up the package otherwise it'll be shipped back in a certain amount of days. I was impressed.
I'm writing this review as someone who's unfamiliar with any other military or hiking style packs. This is the first hardcore pack I've owned and intend to use it for camping and hiking. I was going to choose between this and an ALICE pack, but decided I'd try something different.
My first impression was how much room there was inside. There's a large cavity with a rectangular bottom (and a pocket that looks like it's for a camel back since there's a hole at the top covered by a Velcro strap) and a smaller cavity with an expandable bottom. The extra MOLLE satchel on the back is very large inside. On the satchel there are 3 additional zippered pockets. The whole satchel has the potential to hold a lot of little things and a lot of weight, however I'm not sure the 2 buttons that hold it to the main pack via the MOLLE connector are up to the task of securing the potential load inside the satchel. Of course this is my first dealing with the MOLLE system, but 2 snap buttons (which admittedly are heavy duty) seems a little light for constant bouncing and rough treatment while camping and hiking. Some Velcro reinforcements would be a good addition.
The MOLLE secured pockets on the sides of the pack are also very spacious, with another small pouch inside them for small items. I believe the two buttons are sufficient for securing these pouches to the backpack.
There are a lot of buckles to help secure the pouches to the pack to prevent slinging around and your loads shifting. However I have dealt with buckles on various other things that are much meatier than these. These are pretty standard plastic buckles, so I'm not sure how much force they can actually handle. The zippers are also better duty than normal zippers.
The shoulder straps are pretty standard with a little padding. They rub on the sides of my neck, I think I'm going to have to wrap that portion in some sort of wool. The padded backing on the front of the pack isn't as padded as I'd like. I have a school backpack with some really thick padding that I could wear all day. The waist strap is moderately comfortable, and is actually too big for me. I'm pretty thin and the buckles are adjusted as short as possible and the waist strap has a little too much slack in it to keep the pack secure on my back. I wear ~32-33" waist pants.
The main things that worries me about this pack are the strap connections to the pack and the bottom of the pack itself. I'm not a seamstress or whatever but all the stitching doesn't seem like it's sufficient to load this thing up and not worry about premature wear. I've had school backpacks with the same bottom as this bag and eventually they develop holes. I have a different school backpack that has a somewhat rigid plastic bottom that seems like it would last longer than this one.
All in all I'm happy with this purchase so far, even though I'm being picky. I loaded it up to go on a vacation and managed to get all my clothes, entertainment, and hygiene supplies in it, so it is very spacious. I am going to go get it inspected and reinforced by a professional seamstress though, just to be sure. Like I said, I don't know what's sufficient, but for the price I'd have wanted just a bit more.
Also another note, the pack didn't come with any instructions or paperwork of any kind. It also came with an extra belt thing with buttons on the end of it and a buckle in the middle. I know the best part of MOLLE is the flexibility to transform it into a pack specific to your needs, but some instructions and suggestions on the purpose of some of these straps and holes would be appreciated. I can get creative, but I'd rather use something for it's intended purpose than to rig it.

Pink Spring Flowers Floral Lightweight Drawstring Gym Bag Backpack
It's a good size bag and can hold many useful things needed for a day out, a trip, or gym, beach, pool, ballet or gymnastics class etc.
The strings were a little long and made the bag hang very low on my 7-year old's back, though they are a perfect size for someone taller. But I adjusted the length by tying extra knots in the string. The string is sturdy though very thin. Overall my daughter and I like this bag.Great bag for a great price. I use it everywhere I go. If I need more I know where to go thx for the great item.

Samsonite Xenon Laptop Backpack Black
SOLID upper handle
Good bottom laptop cushion
Durable exterior material
Cushy back padding
Comfortable straps
Cons:
Weak-weight straps
Thin interior material
Awkward placement of gear inside
Poorer-than-expected quality
This bag is of decent quality, but nowhere near the discontinued leather Samsonite backpack I was trying to replace. The inside is delineated with thin, rough material (it looks silky in the picture, which it is not). The straps are of just average quality. The interior compartments are only separate by a thin layer of material rather than padding.
My guess is that if you are a fan of Samsonite products you will be surprised by the lack of quality in this particular product.
That said, for the price, it is likely a good value. I'd go see it in a store before purchase.very nice bag, looks elegant, and is big enough for your laptop up to 16", and a book or two maybe, if your laptop is 14" maybe this one is a little big for you!. The outside/inside color contrast is great, also it is easy to get your stuff organized thanks to many different size pockets available.

I went to Best Buy, Frys and Target to try out a bunch of laptop backpacks; I walk to work everyday and I wanted something durable and functional. I have fairly simple requirements -1. Should have separate zippable compartments for the laptop and the rest of the stuff.
2. Low unladen weight.
3. Strong but comfortable shoulder straps and carry handle (I hate cable based handles).
This backpack was not fancy looking, but it was well built and met all my requirements. The zippers and the inner linings were made of quality materials.
For protecting the laptop from bumps when placed on the ground, there is a zig-zag ruber insert at the bottom. This works very well and is not a gimmick.
I have had it for about a year now and I walk to work everyday it has been comfortable to carry and looks as good as new.
Highly recommended.

Nice and firm bag.It meets standard to be an everyday backpack to school, and travel backpack too.
But, this has warning that it used material which maybe possible of cancer, so minus two stars.

I usually never write reviews on products I purchase online but this backpack was an exception. Not only did it arrive in two days to my home but I couldn't be happier with the outcome of this product. The craftsmanship was unique with it's off stitching and colors, both making it a one of a kind piece. I plan on buying one for my sister and mother in the near future. Made in Nepal and buy purchasing this item it aids in preserving Nepal's traditional arts and crafts. (Fair working conditions and no child labor) I will absolutely be making more purchases with this company. Thank you again.Read Best Reviews of Brown Razor Cut - Torn Look Bohemian Backpack Here

Vivitar DKS-18 Photo/SLR/Laptop Sling Backpack (Black)
The compartments themselves are well padded, and the accessibility to the sides as well as front zippers is awesome! Being able to change from a shoulder-slung to a cross-slung to a backpack is also great :) The top compartment holds a surprising amount of stuff as well.
Total stuff in the bag currently:
Canon T3i + 18-55 kit lens + Hood
Canon 55-250mm Lens + Hood
Canon 50mm 1.8 Lens + Hood
Macro Extenders
Ring Light + battery pack + DC adapter (cheap macro stuff)
Polarizing filter/UV filter
2 Portable HDDs
AA Battery Charger
Phone Charger Cables + Wall adapters
Laptop Charger cables
14.6" IBM Laptop
So, it does fit a significant amount of stuff. Couldn't be happier with the purchase!Yes, everything fits and well protected in this bag. It is very similar to the Tamrac Evolution 8 or 9 but only 1/3 or 1/4 of the price respectively. I think the side access is very important....unless you want to take the backpack off and lie it down on the street for the next burglar. The rain cover also comes handy and important unless you only stay at home.....in that case you don't need a backpack. You can buy the big brand but I am telling you that I made a side by side comparison and there is very little difference......the zippers are actually better on this product. I am selling my Tamrac Expedition and staying with this one instead of the Tamrac Evolution. Forgot to mention also that the tripod leg pocket at the bottom is also bigger and stronger than the Tamrac and you can conceal it in case you don't carry a Tripod. The laptop pocket is well padded and big enough for any 14 inch screen. The handle on the top feels stronger than the Tamrac Evolution IMHO.

When I received the bag I was actually surprised at its size.. It is a fairly medium to large sized pack(almost school book bag sized..not as wide)..I'm 5'11" and it's not huge, but not too small and female looking(on a man). The reviews discussing the interior materials and Velcro quality are VERY true as far as plan your positioning and use your fingers to separate the velcro( so to relieve the pressure of tearing)... Mine did tear a bit and the nylon is tough to repair.. But it is what it is... I sewed it up as best I could, put it where it's gonna stay, you aren't gonna see it! and on with life! Exterior quality seems to be fine.. I know other reviews mention zipper issues.. I have not had any as of yet! Used a few times in and out-doors(cold weather). Will keep you posted as to in the future.
As for capacity... It will hold some gear! If you have 8 lenses and diffuser screens and multiple slave flashes a camcorder, 6 p.&s cameras, etc.. NOT what your lookin for!! I have my T3i w/ 18-55mm attached, 75-300mm( can also fit mounted), filters, batteries, chargers, various cords, hoods...and have room for a point & shoot and my handycam in the bottom...top enough space for a lunch or rain poncho and some trinkets( your not going out for a 3 day camp with just this!!). For a day at the park, or at a venue ..Perfect..maybe a tad bulky but..all-in-all..
CONCLUSION: For $50...it gives you the size, ability, and style of the KATA, Tamrac, etc at a 1/3 of the cost.. If your a professional(getting paid for your shots, and traveling 340 days for it)..you don't need or wouldn't be looking at this bag!!.. If your going a vacations, and taking the family to the theme park or day hikes/bikes then, this is a GOOD BUY!!! Yes you may have to fix an issue or two, you will probably customize it, and you will be able to determine if it is comfortable as a sling or not..for me.. Long hours of wear(backpack mode), an hour or two(sling is fine) yes, the padding is a bit funky for sling but I found that I can adjust it so it doesn't rub my neck..look as I said.. It's a backpack with options..which is why we are all looking at it!! And like me this is the 100th review you have read and have narrowed down your 2 or 3 choices and makers... I chose this one and I am satisfied completely with cost and above cost quality..should last for a while and do what I need it to! Hope this helps all those like me who obsess over research, products and manufacturers, etc...before buying.. But then again "to each his own.."

I've only taken it out once so far, but it is very comfortable in the backpack mode (I don't think I'll ever use it in the sling mode, as it seemed a little awkward when I tried it), and has lots of room for my Nikon D5100, two lenses, tripod, plus lots of room for extras, filters, and other small equipment. Another reviewer mentioned that the pack sits too low on the back, even when straps are pulled tight, but I got around this by removing the pads at the bottoms of the straps, which weren't doing anything anyway, and then was able to cinch the straps tighter and get it where I wanted on my back. I am planning on travelling with this pack and I think it will do the job for me. Even if it only lasts one year, for the price you can't go wrong.Want Vivitar DKS-18 Photo/SLR/Laptop Sling Backpack (Black) Discount?
Gonna have to say some not-so-great things about this one.Cons:
-Pretty cheap interior material. I feel like I'm fighting to not rip it when I organize the dividers. The zippers feel cheap as wel as well. I'm worried they might break in the near future.
-Never seen this in a backpack, but the straps don't go as high as I want...I pull it up to the maximum height on my back, and it's not high enough for me (I'm 6' 2").
-There's an obnoxious 24 inches (at least) of extra strap hanging when I pull it up to the maximum height (fixable). Again, not something I've ever had a problem with in a backpack...
-There's absolutely no soft area to put more fragile things like filters.
-The laptop area has ZERO padding.
Pros:
-Chest and waist strap
-Comes with a rain protector
-Place to put a tripod
-Can be used as a sling (haven't done it but I suppose it could be useful)
Overall, it's an average camera backpack. My biggest qualm is the cheap interior/no padding. I'm going to try to make it work, but maybe go with something else.

This bag is both stylish and functional. It houses my 13" Macbook Air perfectly in its soft, cushioned interior. I can also slip my phablet, phone, and modem snugly into the zippered side pocket, and still have room to slip work papers on the other side. The zippered section also has a slot-pocket on top. Every compartment is nicely lined with a soft microfiber. I don't worry about where my devices are any more because I finally have a low-profile case to keep them safe and secure. Great design, STM!Want STM Bags Jacket Laptop Sleeve Discount?
This is a great little bag. Didn't think the green would look very good, pretty cool actually! Perfect fit for the Macbook Pro 13". Doesn't wiggle around, very snug. Inside is lined with soft fabric materiel on top of padding so i feel confident that my computer is safe from minor collisions. Haven't had problems with the zipper as some have. Pockets are great because they are low profile if they aren't being used. I don't know if the price is good, it was in my budget but it is definitely worth the money. There is a nice strap that is of decent quality, it is great for students, or someone planning to carry it around.Overall I would recommend this bag to anyone that asked.

Targus Compact Laptop Desk AWE56US (Black with Gray)
Compaq Presario CQ62-210US Laptop PCI was looking for a durable, water resistant bag to tote around a rather awkwardly sized laptop, and this bag did not disappoint. Can accommodate basically any notebook I've ever seen, and has ample space for other stuff as well. The organization pockets are pretty good, but the little net-pouch inside sometimes lets small objects fall out if the bag tips over. The shoulder strap is a little awkward sometimes on a bike, but far superior to my old bag. The durability and construction are impressive. It has suffered hard use for nearly a year at my hands and I've yet to see a single frayed edge or stretched seam. Looks good too.

I have carried a Macbook Pro 15.4" and 13.3" Asus UL30A in this bag (sometimes at the same time) daily for 3 years now (since 2008), through thunderstorms, airports, etc. including power adapters and spare batteries, plus phone charger, USB cables, headset and earphones, and occasionally a spare external USB hard drive or two. I often ride a bike with a laptop in the padded compartment and a set of tools (wrenches, mini ratchet set, vise grips, all in a plastic bag) on the other side. Everything always arrives at its destination in the same condition that it left. The bag basically looks the same--inside and out--as it did the day I bought it, despite repeated soakings, heavy use, and many hours in the sun.Pros:
1) This bag is essentially waterproof (within reason). I have ridden a bike with it in torrential downpours for 20+ minutes without a drop getting inside. I wouldn't recommend doing this on a regular basis, but if you get caught unprepared, this bag should be able to handle it until you can get under cover or throw on a raincoat or poncho.
2) The main compartment and front pouch both have lockable zippers (with your own locks, that is), a big plus when riding through less savory areas or if you don't trust your fellow airplane passengers (I don't, especially on frequent 9-10 hour flights).
3) Easy to remove a laptop for airport security screening. It's not quite as fast as a flip open case, but I like the extra security of my laptop a) staying under cover in the rain (that happens more often than airline screenings) and b) staying inside my bag in a lockable compartment.
My only minor quibbles are:
1) The main compartment zipper sometimes separates. Not a big deal, but I would certainly pay another $5 (or even $10) for a sturdier zipper and zipper pulls with loops that are specifically designed for locks (the current ones lock well enough, though if someone really wants to get into my bag, they'll just cut it).
2) The strap is not very easy to adjust and the pad could be a bit thicker.
3) The vinyl cladding at the bottom of the case is starting to wear away at one corner, but after 3 years of relatively heavy use, that is the ONLY mark on the outside of the bag.
4) The velco fuzz strap on the laptop compartment is showing some wear from the hook velcro on the laptop compartment, but again, this is a minor issue all they (or I) have to do is lengthen the fuzzy fabric patch on the strap and this problem wouldn't arise. However, this is the ONLY sign of wear inside of the bag after 3 years of daily use.
Why 5 stars, then? This bag is better designed (in my view) for laptops than other bags that cost 3-4 times as much I think it would be tough to find a better value in a laptop bag. I'm not sure how long it will last, but if/when it eventually wears out (my guess is at least another 3-4 years), I hope Targus still makes them (especially if they incorporate some of my suggestions here)!
