Buy K-Cliffs Navy Outdoor Backpack/ Biking Backpack/ Messenger Backpack/ Cross Shoulder Backpack Now
This backpack is the perfect size for carrying things for a day's trip out of the house. It would probably not be big enough to be used as a school bag though. I use it for bike riding and for hanging around town. It fits easily and comfortabily over the shoulder. This a nice looking and perfect sized little bag. However, the interior coating peals off and flakes like little grey snowflakes almost immediately after buying the bag. It will get all over whatever you put in the bag. Not worth buying!!!!It is light and have enough capacity for bike commute if you are not carrying a laptop. But, it slips from back to side quite often and therefor not suitable for relatively long and serious bike commuting.Thursday, July 31, 2014

Nothing much to say except that it is well-made for what it is.The bag is nothing more than an oversized pocket, and the cape blends well over it. When you wear it like a backpack, you look like you have a tiny cape and nobody will know you have stuff tucked behind it.

Saddleback Leather Front Pocket Backpack Medium
Then recently I came across this new Saddleback Front Pocket Backpack on Amazon and I fell in love with Saddleback Leather all over again. I forgave SL for neglecting me in the past and bought the FP Backpack in DK Coffee Brown here on Amazon. It is absolutely gorgeous! I love it so much that I decided to buy another one at full price in Tobacco directly at Saddleback Website to match my other SL Tobacco bags. Being a shopaholic, I ended up spending around $2000 on SL products in the last two months bringing my total investment to around $3000 for a total of 17 SL products. Yes, 17! Why? Being torn between DK Coffee Brown & Tobacco, I decided to get basically two of everything-DK Coffee for work & Tobacco for travel.
Being so in love with SL. I gladly accepted whatever they sent me. Some items I purchased through SL Dave's Deals were "imperfect" with blemishes, scars, etc. But I didn't mind since I myself put inevitable marks on them through daily usage. Then came the Cable Bag... The bag that broke my heart. I had already acquired the Cable Bag in Tobacco and I was so looking forward to the DK Coffee Brown Cable Bag with Tobacco tie wrap, visualizing how awesome my white Nikon 1 J1 camera would look in it.
Unfortunately, my DK Coffee Cable Bag did NOT come with the Tobacco tie wrap as depicted in the photo on their website. Instead it came with matching DK Coffee Brown tie wrap. It didn't look bad but it didn't look cool... So I emailed SL customer support requesting if they would kindly throw in a Tobacco tie wrap along with the Bible Cover that I had ordered that morning. I didn't want to go through the trouble of shipping the bag back just because of the color of the wrap. I really thought it was a simple request, no big deal. I didn't care if they wanted to charge me for it.
Guess what? The guy responded that I could ship the item back free of shipping charge and reorder the same item, It'd be "a roll of the dice" and HOPEFULLY I'll get the color scheme that I want. Say what? Give you more of my hard-earned money & HOPEFULLY I'll get the color I desire? REALLY? It's like ordering a dog with blond hair & end up getting a brunette. But don't worry, keep on ordering until the blond shows up. REALLY? It's shocking that they can't control what goes out to their customers. I understand Dave's Deals have imperfections. But there's a big difference between "IMPERFECTIONS" VS "MISREPRESENTATION". Every photo everywhere shows the DK Coffee Brown Cable Bag comes with a free Tobacco tie wrap. He said they don't have extra wraps. He can't guarantee I'll get one with Tobacco wrap. He can't take a Tobacco wrap from another bag... Blah Blah Blah...REALLY?
If they can't simple send me a tie wrap cable, it makes you wonder what's the value of their 100-year warranty? They are so PETTY, INFLEXIBLE, & STINGY. They're not willing and/or able to switch out a tie wrap that's advertised as "FREE" for a valued customer, then how can you trust them to possibly honor their 100-year warranty on any of their products for anybody???
The whole "Cable Bag" incident is absurd & ridiculous beyond comprehension. I don't think I was asking too much from them. So in all fairness, most of their products overall deserve 5 stars for looks & workmanship, 3 stars for practicality, but they get 1 star for customer support. Like any relationship, no matter how much you're in love, you should leave if you're not being treated right.
"Remember, if you are headed in the wrong direction, God does allow U-turns!"
I wish SL had made a U-turn when they had the chance to right the situation, instead they made a DETOUR by sending in another customer support rep to contact me.... Again, blah blah blah... a lot of sweet nothings that get you nowhere. Apparently common sense is not so common.
I'm making my U-Turn now. I may be a shopaholic but I know better than to stay in an abusive relationship. This is SADLY the absolute end of my love affair with Saddleback Leather. Thank goodness they showed their true colors before I started to load up on their luggage line. Some big companies think they're too large to fail and some small companies think they're too little to care...

High Sierra A.T. Ultimate Access Wheeled Duffel with Backpack Straps Blue Yonder/Tungsten/Black
The front pocket is ideal for smaller things that aren't breakable. The zippers and zips are of excellent workmanship and are some of the strongest I have seen and consider they will last for a long time with proper care. The actual zippers are made from some type of strong metal that is designed with hard wear and tear in mind and I really liked this as when you inspect the bag you can tell there has been high attention to detail. All the zippers can be locked and being so strong and well-designed I consider they would deter most would be thieves if locked securely with proper travel locks.
The material is very light weight yet durable and the colour looks really good. The material will cope with all types of weather conditions and could be easily cleaned if needed. The main compartment is made with durable material that should last a while if cared for correctly. The wheels are strong and the back straps are well designed and I think it would be easy to carry a heavy load. The telescopic handle feels solid and I don't see them breaking though in comparison to Paklite bags the telescopic handle isn't as solid and I think High Sierra could do have done better but this isn't a major issue.
The duffle carry straps are made from sturdy velcro material and grip well/easily together and I think the velcro should wear well. Overall I chose this bag because it is quality and that is simply put. When you compare this bag to an Antler duffle bag you may think it doesn't compete but it does for sure. This bag comes with a 5 year warranty and the Antler includes a 5 or 10 year warranty but to buy an Antler would cost about $130.00 or more Australian dollars so I think they compare well.
I also compared this bag to a Paklite wheeled duffle (origin and adventure) that included about 70 litres of space but that bag had pieces of material/webbing on the outside I think would get easily damaged in flight and the frame was also narrower. I consider if you travelled with the High Sierra AT2500 26" Wheeled Duffle with Backstraps you wouldn't have any problems.I got this bag because I was traveling a lot with the whole Wounded Warrior thing, and do not get around like I used to. This has provided me with a bag large enough to hold all my clothes and other items that I was living with while hospitalized. When I traveled in the airport, this allowed me to easily roll along for great distance with my limited mobility. I have had the bag for four months, and would like to say, "it does everything it is supposed to and does it very well." If you need a durable, versatile, and well made duffle bag then this is a good choice.I used this bag for my checked luggage from Tennessee to Australia. It held up well and was very spacious. I would recommend it.I've taken it on all my travels since purchasing. It is strong, durable, and the 3 different ways to use it are great!!! (backpack, wheels, handle)

Everest Sling Backpack
Quality 9.5/10 Top Grade, feels lightweight enough to carry around without much hard work involved even with the main pocket filled, and its made with good fabric, i`m assuming a mixture of Poly and some Lace maybe even? good stuff, i`m very impressed.
Only thing missing that i REALLY wanted was a water holding slot, i suppose you could put bottled water or juice/wine in the Main pocket but its not a dedicated slot for it.
Design 10/10 I chose the Black x Purple design, and was kinda iffy at first because the purple in the photo doesn't look that great, but after looking at it after getting it, its stylish, The purple is deep and nice, they have a wide array of colors to chose from, most involving black which matches with almost any color. Very happy to find it in my most favored combo.
Storage 9/10 I wasn't expecting much, in fact given the picture i was only expecting two Med sized pockets and maybe a key-chain ring, i REALLY underestimated this thing, it has a total of 2 Small, 1 Medium, and 1 Large Pockets in total, there is also a Key chain ring as well!
2012 Update: And if your a gamer like me, the Medium Slot pocket can hold your PSVita, 3DS, PSP and DS all together in harmony and still have plenty of room left over! (Or any other devices like a Cell Phone, iPod, Zune Etc...) It hugs my PSP tightly and firm which is good and keeps i safe, but im assuming stuff like a cell or certain models of iPod would be moving around a bit but it should be fine. anyway there's A-LOT more space then i had first thought, well worth the money for the quality.
Portability 7.5/10 It's not to small, not to big, not to light not to heavy, this bag is truly balanced and isn't garbage, but it's not the best in terms portability, but i still rank it higher than most others considering the Value factor, if anything. Just keep in mind, and keep this Sling bag near you at all times because it's not the most enduring thing in the world, keep it on your back where it belongs as much as possible if your not using it.
Value 10/10 Epic, nothing much else to say, most others looking this nice with more than 2 slots run for about $40 or more, anything under that from where i checked around Amazon either looked ugly or lacked space, fortunately this wasn't the case for the Everest Sling backpack, Style and Quality good stuff.
Overall 9.7/10 Almost perfect for what i was looking for, could have used a water bottle/juice bottle holder but other than that its awesome, also for some trivia, i was originally looking for the man equivalent of a woman's purse, but you know.. for dudes, but then i bought the Video Game, "InFamous 2" (Hero Edition) and it came with a bonus backpack looking thing and i was confused as to what the heck it was(The colors were ugly yellowxgray but was curious on its one strap design), after a quick goggle search turns out there official name is "Sling Bags or Sling Backpacks" a very good traveling alternative ultimately in the end.The backpack is nice looking and worked well for the first few times I used it, which was every three days or so with light use only, carrying very little inside, wearing it for only a couple of hours when used.
In about 6 weeks of such light use the across the shoulder strap just came undone. That is, the nylon lining on the inside of the strap pulled out from under its stitching, revealing it was cut too narrow and was never well beneath the stitching in the first place. Reasonably good materials but shoddy construction. With very little use and wear, the inner side of the shoulder strap just came undone, pulling away from the stitching and revealing the plastic padding inside and soon it will all just fall apart as the inner nylon lining comes unstitched all the way down one side of the strap.
Look to another product if you are looking for even just moderate durability. Again, the problem is shoddy construciton the inner strap lining barely reaching underneath the stitched seam, which is why it pulled away from the stitched seam with little use.
In followup: Everest, the manufacturer, has a good warranty for USA buyers. However, "good" in this case isn't good enough. Everest told me to return the backpack to them at my shipping expense, and also include $9.50 in payment with the return and they will repair or replace the defective backpack at their option. Given the price I paid here, this comes to essentially the price I paid for the backpack, delivered (free shipping as an Amazon Primier member). This means that it is better for to buy a new backpack, since this guaranteed I get a new backpack instead of a repaired backpack, risking repair of an already defective product. The purchase cost is within pennies of the cost of warranty return. If the product had cost more, then the warranty return option would be viable, of course.
Will I buy another backpack? I'm thinking about it but probably not. The backpack materials are high quality but the construction of the backpack shoulder strap was amazingly shoddy. The inner shoulder strap nylon liner was cut way too narrow and the stitching holding in place barely touched the fringe edge of the inner lining, which is why it pulled out and away from stitching down the stitching line, because the stitching did not actually stitch through the shoulder strap inner lining.

I purchased the everest sling backpack. My daughter loves the backpack she is 10 yrs. old. If you have alot of books however, you might want to purchase a larger backpack. As someone mentioned in the reviews, there is not a place for a water bottle. Also, there is not alot of zippered compartments. The backpack seems to be well made and as I said my daughter loves it.Read Best Reviews of Everest Sling Backpack Here
I bought two of these for car based bug-out bags. They hold 3 days water, food, some other useful stuff like a little med kit and flashlights and rope.Three pockets: Large main pocket, smaller front pocket, and a very small vertical zipper pocket, also has a little webbing pocket on the shoulder strap up front that's nice.
Zippers are ok, stitching is ok, fabric is ok; this is a light use backpack. A one school season backpack, maybe two before something tears.
Sling shoulder strap features pretty decent velcro with a clip. I like.
In all, very good for the price, and very good for my use which is just to sit in a car and hold lots of useful things like a knife, flashlight, rope, and med kit.. and some stuff that might be useful in case of a disaster in the area. This is not a rugged pack. This is not an adults sling bag as advertised.. I'm relatively small and it wouldn't fit around my chest to use it as a sling. I didn't carry much in it, but it had plenty of space inside. The shoulder strap ripped open after only a few weeks of use and then the zipper split. I repaired both, but the strap ripped in yet another place. I don't recommend this product for adults because it doesn't fit average sized people and I wouldn't really recommend it for children either because of it's lack of durability.

PowerTouch Learning System Backpack
any storage for other books and cartridges!
Buy PowerTouch Learning System Backpack Now
The backpack itself is very well made. It holds the Powertouch unit beautifully. However, it should not be advertised as a backpack that can hold the unit AND the books. It does have storage space, tiny pockets, sewn in the front under the top flap for 4 cartridges, but where do the books go? I can stick 4 books in to the same pouch for the unit but it is stuffed and scratches the outside of the unit. My son has over 10 books/cartridges for the unit so this backpack does not help with complete storage. I would still purchase this pack again though because it is great for protecting the main unit and easier for him to carry from room to room than just the unit itself. But, be prepared to arrange storage for the books/cartridges elsewhere.Read Best Reviews of PowerTouch Learning System Backpack Here
This case is great, if you have a Power Touch you must get this. My 3 year old plays with the games then afterwards it doesn't just sit around "waiting" to get stepped on. He puts in back in the case, so it is safe and doesn't get broken. It has helped me out and definitly has made him feel like a "BIG" boy with this backpack and all of his games all nice and neat. The backpack is a great addition to your power touch.I really don't know what everyone is talking about in the past reviews. My daughter has this backpack and it has saved the "life" of her PowerTouch reader several times. It is very well padded and bright colored so that we don't leave the system everywhere we go...which was a problem when we didn't have this backpack. It will hold 5 cartridges and a couple of the books....it is not for complete storage around the house. It is to carry a few books with you to the doctors office or to a meeting etc, just to keep the child busy for a while. I still recommend this product and to everyone.Saturday, May 3, 2014
Kelty Wing Backpack
The bad: Not deal-breakers, but things I wish I had known (or thought about) before I purchased. Most are related to my personal use case, so may not apply to you.
The shoulder straps meet fairly close together at the top of the pack. This is how vintage packs were made, so it helps with that 70s-80s look... but theres a reason modern packs have the straps spaced fairly widely.
The nylon seems strong but lightweight, so the bag does not have a lot of structure. Without the semi-rigid panel in the back, it would collapse into a puddle of nylon when empty. The bottom of the bag sags under heavy loads, and it tips over when set on the ground. (My previous bag was a Timbuk2 laptop pack which was structured to the point where it held its shape when empty, and stood up on its own when loaded.)
The laptop sleeve is quite deep and has a very long retaining strap (which I can't imagine why anyone would need, unless you plan on carrying the pack upside down). This strap has vey sticky velcro on it which adheres to the adjustable panels inside, so you end up having to wrestle with the bag to get your laptop out. It can be comically frustrating at times.
You should buy this pack for its great style, but be aware of its limitations. It is not a modern pack, so it doesn't have a lot of the ergonomic qualities people expect today. It would only be well suited to people who do not need to carry very heavy loads. If you're looking for a college book bag and need to carry lots of heavy textbooks, you might want something with a bit more structure. If money was no object, I'd get a Goruck GR-2. In the same price range as the Kelty Wing I might look at a tactical style pack like the 5.11 Rush 24.

I've only had this for about two weeks, so I can't comment on the durability of this backpack. I'll be bringing this with me on a month long overseas hostel hopping trip shortly. I'll update when I come back. However, from using this backpack over the last two weeks, it seems to be pretty well made. It looks and feels pretty durable. I'm very abusive with my gear and I expect them to last. I brought this backpack solely to bring on my trip. I decided to do a 2 week test run here at home and so far so good. It passed my test and it gets to go on the trip with me.
For me the best thing about this backpack are the super convenient little pockets on the side and the two straps on the back. Those two straps are super functional and versatile. I can hang my towel, slippers and my thermal mug to it with a carabiner. This really frees up room inside for me.I liked this except that it does not have enough depth. I sometimes buy Chinese bento box 50% off at night sale at Ameria which is a supermarket around 5km away from my flatto. It is hard for this bag to hold the bento boxes flat. And this bug is kind a litte hard, not flexible. Those are the points I do not satisifi.

SwissGear 1591 Black with Red Accents Backpack
Buy SwissGear 1591 Black with Red Accents Backpack Now
First of all I have to say this is probably the best backpack I've ever seen in terms of construction quality and finish, this thing is ready to hold whatever you throw at it without tearing apart, trust me, it looks more like a camping backpack than a notebook one. It has pockets for virtually anything you want to store, and even pockets inside pockets. The cellphone pocket is a little narrow unless you have a really small cell, I have an LG Cookie and had to push really hard to get it in.The only downside is the this baby is HUGE, don't be fooled by the pictures (I was), it is a pretty big backpack, I'm almost 6ft tall so that doesn't usually happen to me with a backpack, it did with this one. Like I said, it looks more like a camping backpack with a notebbok slot, I was looking for something more suited for the urban use. I sadly had to return it and continue looking for something smaller with an awesome build quality as this one, which I'm sure will be hard to find at this price range.

I was looking for a backpack that should look professional and at the same time be light, practical and ergonomic. This one is great by all means, but for the weight and location of pockets.
It's got a steel made handle and other small parts that together with the robust fabric add up to a weight that is more than I was expecting (though should enhance a longer lasting).
Also, pockets and computer compartment are high in the bag, which is great for easy access but bad for its gravity center (it can't stand still without flipping to the front when laying on the floor, for example).

I bought this backpack for hiking and I love all the features like sunglass holder, ipod w/ headphone slot, laptop pocket, water pockets. It has lots of pockets for different items. I don't know why it isn't labeled as a "computer backpack" since it has the laptop pocket. Descripton says it fits laptops up to 15''. The one I received looks identical as shown in the picture unlike the other reviewer.Thursday, February 6, 2014
Le Donne Leather Women's Everyday Backpack Purse
It is good quality leather and seems to be well made.I've been using this for 2 months and I'm so impressed with how well made it is. I'm rough with purses but this still looks and acts brand new. The zippers are amazingly cooperative. They take the stress of an overfilled purse without any worry of breaking. The purse is perfect for those times you only need a small bag. It has a tall design so there's the sense that small items have worked their way to the bottom. This is not a problem if you aren't carrying too much. The front pouch has 2 holders for pens which is nice but almost too short for my 5 and 3/8 inch long pen. The side pockets are nice for a slim cell phone. I keep a book light in the other pocket. So anyone looking for a small reliable handbag that's designed as a backpack look no further!

The only reason I'm not giving this backpack 5-stars is because the zipper is difficult to use. It's big enough for what I want it for...in fact, it even holds my iPad if I take the case off AND my HTC Aria phone fits in the side pocket. The leather is thin but it's lined so it should keep it's shape. If it doesn't, I will be re-posting.Read Best Reviews of Le Donne Leather Women's Everyday Backpack Purse Here

Cosmos Leather Skin Case for Macbook Pro 13-Inch/13.3-Inch with Cosmos Cable Tie - Black
A few cons (not major) with this product: the magnet is indeed quite weak, but knowing that going in made it less of a big deal for me. I'm always pulling the elastic bands down to stay on my computer as they tend to slide off the computer as you push the monitor back. The only thing I worry about with this cover is my computer overheating. When the computer warms up, the heat is pretty much trapped in because there are no holes or anything on the case. Not the most amazing circumstances, but I'll let you judge if that's a big problem for you.
I've had this case for a month or so, and I like it a lot. The price can't be beat, it was shipped on time, it hasn't required maintenance (cleaning, hiding scuff marks, etc.) and it makes my laptop easy to carry around.THE ONLY BAD THING IS THAT MY CASE CAME WITH SOME KIND OF KNIFE CUT SO YOU CAN SEE IT

Level III Lv3 Molle Assault Pack Backpack--ACU
Upon receiving the pack, It was the correct pattern and looked great! the pack looks small, but has tons of room and expands quite a bit.
The pack has tons of pockets, and a spot for a hydration bladder, tons of adjustable straps and tons of MOLLE attachment points. This bag is pretty sweet. I wanted something with plenty of space, flexibility, and durability, and this pack is the full package. Everything is detachable, so if something does break you can replace the just that piece. The shoulder straps could be considered a little iffy. I haven't had any issues with them, but I haven't loaded the bag with a lot of weight. I've had this product for over three weeks now and haven't noticed any major downsides or defects. It was made in China, and I've snipped some threads that were loose. The MOLLE webbing wasn't perfectly uniform, so I had to work to get some accessories through the loops. All in all, a great 3+ day pack.

i have recived this bag on the date they said it would get here. It was smaller than what i have expected to be but it does expand to hold more items. Zippers seem fine and all the compartments are pretty useful to hold misc items. I gave it four stars because the straps tend to come off and seems that the strap holders will break in time. Being said it is a pretty good bag. On some occasions the shoulder straps came off but was easily put back into place. I got this bag for hunting purposes and holds what i need on my hunting trips and by far the best hunting bag that i got to date. I do wish the shoulder straps and the waist strap would stay in place. Other than that con there is many pockets for storage.Read Best Reviews of Level III Lv3 Molle Assault Pack Backpack--ACU Here

The pack is a little small compared to normal backpacks but this pack seems like its build very well, it has big strong zippers and the pack feels heavy duty. Now I haven't field tested it yet but so far I'm very happy. This pack I'm going to be using for camping, specifically it seems perfect for day hikes or walking to near by streams and lakes to go fish. There is alot of room and the pack expands outward alot for more storage. Very happy!Thursday, September 26, 2013
Timbuk2 Candybar Backpack
Size wise it's perfect for my needsiPad, kindle, toiletries and a cozy scarf fit great with room to spare for snacks and water. I ordered the purple and greylove the colors. So far it seems well made, no cheap looking stitches to be seen. There are three minor things I do not like : 1. There is only Velcro to close the top flap, so conceivably if the bag was dumped upside down my crap would go everywhere. 2. The iPad/notebook access and the little front pocket (great for cell phone) seem geared to left handers, meaning you access from your left side, which for me is taking some getting used(I have dropped my cell phone out once) 3. The outer pocket has 2 snaps for access but the pocket only opens part way, it's kind of a weird design and makes it a liitle hard to get to stuff.
Overall I do recommend this bag because it's well made, above average in the style department and ultimately because it's well suited to my needs. This pack is terrific. The vertical design is so efficient to pack and carry.
There is plenty of room for all my books and notebooks, pens, cards, money.
The side access is also fantastic. The pack is sturdy and lightweight
and well made.

This one fits everything i need to fit in during my trip. It can fit my 13" macbook pro nicely. Strong handle. A minor downside but not a big issue for me will be when you walk, the side handle flaps will make a little noise. Put all your $$ and passport in the side pouch and you'll be fine. I've been using this bag eversince and a lot of my friends fall in love with the color. Overall, its an awesome bag!!! I hope you like it too 'Read Best Reviews of Timbuk2 Candybar Backpack Here
I needed a bag large enough to carry my 11.6" laptop, a couple of books, and an article of clothing or two--and nothing more. This bag fits the bill, and protects me from my habit of carrying everything but the kitchen sink. The bottom of the Candybar sits higher on my back, and the shallow profile keeps the weight closer to my body, so weightier items (like a laptop or hardcover books) are far more comfortable to carry than if they were sinking to the bottom of a bigger bag. The straps are also closer together than a lot of unisex backpacks I've had, which is heaven for my shoulders.I'm a daily commuter and this backpack is just the right size to hold my daily essentials! I highly recommend it if you're looking for a smaller backpack but one that is well made and can take day to day heavy use.

The only thing that could be improved, would be that the main compartment zipper needs to go all the way to the bottom of the back pack like on the Tectonic Large.I am satisfied with the product although I couldn't handle it physically and have full satisfaction as it could happen when physically buying from a store. Nonetheless I will utilize it to the fullest and get the full satisfaction and utility out of the purchase.Wednesday, August 21, 2013
