This backpack was one of our grandson's favorite Christmas gifts. It's sturdy, dinosaur-like qualities suit his tastes and rambunctous character perfectly. My mom sent these to my kids (6 & 9) for Christmas and we are all really impressed. It looks like the pack might be made out of leather, not sure on this. the material is very high quality. The construction is really really good. Its got a nice padded back and a buckle in the front to cross the chest. At first i thought the price was high but then again you cant see on here how nice the material is and the quality craftsmanship that's put into it. Well worth it. My kids LOVE these bags!!! And its just in time cause their cheap backpacks i got them at the beginning of the year have fallen apart already and its only been 2 grading periods.

I ordered this in orange and pink. I think this has plenty of room, and the cool factor is definitely there for all ages. It has a very nice velcro secured pocket inside that could fit a laptop, or in our case, separates school papers for me to sign from everything else. However, I did not consider this to be as durable as someone else had stated. Perhaps they meant the inner portion being durable, which I agree 100% it certainly is, but the exterior is the one in question. I think the vinyl coating on it is very similar to that of what I found on Carter's toddler shoes (if you're a parent you probably know what I mean, it looks pretty but definitely not for rough and tumble kids), you skid at all with it, you lose the surface colored portion. At this price, I'm very disappointed in that factor. I fully expected this to last a few years, not just one, but at the rate my son is using it I imagine it'll be replaced next year. I would definitely not purchase this again as who wants to tell their kids, "hey, be careful with your backpack, dont toss it on the floor!" (yea right!)

This bag perfectly holds my macbook pro 15" retina, charger, ipad in rather thick case, two wallets in front compartment and leaving enough space for lots of other another not so big not too thick things.

If you don't carry laptop inside there is a decent space near the back.

Overall I like minimalistic styling of the bag looks good on any occasion, compartments for both laptop and tablet, nice build quality.

One improvement I'd like to see it stiffer flap button or magnetic closure, as of now it tends to open sometimes when bag is tightly packed.

I've tried quite a few laptop bags ant this is one of the few that isn't bulky, but has enough space to carry my 15' MacBook Pro and iPad.

The supply doesn't add to much bulk. The full length zipper pocket under the flap is helpful for odd's and end.

My only gripe is with the inside pockets that are too loose and not deep enough to hold or organize things.

Anything you put in them will fall out, so they're relatively useless.

I've had the bag for about 2 months now and so far the Heathered material doesn't show any serious wear.

Overall I like that's it's stylish and functional.

When I first ordered it I was worried that it wouldn't fit my 17" laptop, or would look different than the pictures. It fit my laptop with plenty of room to spare. It seems very tough. Also, it has a headphone jack that connects from the inside of the bag to the outside. It doesn't change the volume or pulse your Ipod from the headset when you hook it in. Even with a 17" laptop I had room for plenty of books. I hope that this helps feel the details that are missing from the description above.

I am very satisfied with their service. This backpack is not perfect, there is an issue with the wheels being larger than the stand so it does not stand freely and the zipper sticks. It is perfect if you are looking for a back pack that is light weight and can be handle by anyone with a disability. It rolls well and otherwise is very functional. Every strap, every zipper, every buckle is like new.. It has zero tears, stains or missing pieces. Incredibly solid and versatile. This backpack will take an incredible beating.

Lots of space and lots of room for expansion.

Mine was slightly used but well cleaned out and has plenty of life left.

I have no complaints and will buy another one if I need another rugged backpack.

Some advice:

There are long straps inside a thin compartment along with the back plate and cushion.

The long straps are for tying down your bedroll.

The back plate makes the bag a lot more comfortable as it ads a slight cushion and protects you from pointy things.

This is the perfect laptop carrier. Neopreme material offer just the correct amount of stretch to fit laptopmousepad, & notepad in main compartment. The side compartment hold power cord, mouse, and usb HDTV adapter. The pocket in the shoulder strap is perfect for mp3 player and earphones.

Choice of size is important to understand that it's your size in addition to laptop. Whatever shirt size you wear choose same size back pack. My husband, main carrier of unit. is 6' 170#s and the large fits best to give him a little wiggle room for the straps. We also have a medium and although it fits him he prefers the comfort level of the large size.

Well worth ever penny we paid for it. Consider any of this product line for quality products.

The large Built NY backpack fits OK for me, I'm 5' 9-1/2" and weigh about 265 lbs.

The day after I got it, I tried putting my 15" unibody MacBook Pro with Golla sleeve in the main compartment and it was a snug fit. Seeing as this variation of the pack should be able to carry 17" notebooks as well, I reckon that if I put the MacBook Pro in without the Golla sleeve, it would be a nice fit. Thing is, if you want to put anything else in there with the notebook, you might, depending on the object, wind up scratching it or something. If this is not an issue for you, then no worries.

As for the side pocket for accessories, I was expecting like a little pocket that can contain power bricks, power cords, and some knick knacks but was pleasantly surprised upon closer inspection, to find out that the side pocket goes into a separate compartment (in front of the notebook) and is composed of pretty much the entire backpack and part of the lower straps. Nice. But as with the main compartment, if you put them in a water-tight plastic "sleeve" like I do, they will be a tight fit. If you put the items in one at a time without the sleeve and they fit nicely and don't really add much to the bulk of the pack.

The fit of the pack is nice and it hugs my sides and back real well, very streamlined. You can even secure the sternum strap if you aren't using it so it doesn't flap around and get caught on things.

As the title of this review says, it's a nice, minimalist pack and if you just want to lug around your notebook, some accessories and knick knacks, then this is the pack for you.

I've only had this backpack for about a month and I've been very gentle with it(as it houses my new macbook). Its tearing at the bottom corners at the seems. I like how the backpack looks, but I'm pretty disappointed in the build. I might be able to fix it, but I'm probably going to end up replacing it soon.

HP 16 Inch Notebook Sleeve - Onyx

My husband and I were browsing the electronics section at Wal-Mart and there it was: The ACER ASPIRE TIMELINE (5810TZ model) for $600! Before buying my new baby a sleeve, I measured it. The 15.6"-sized screen model is approx 15"x10" -I wasn't worried about depth b/c the lap top is less than a inch thick. Later that night, I went on the internet to look for accessories on AMAZON... what an ordeal! It took me a good hour to find a sleeve that had comparable measurements. A large majority of the products are standard dimensions -when the dimensions were actually listed -and there's not much to chose from for wide screens. So, I kept finding 15"x12", 15.5"x12", 15.4"x12", 14.5"x11.1"... Notice the second measurement is never near 10"? So, then I looked up sleeves for 16" wide screens and the HP ONYX was one of the products. The dimensions were not listed, but it looked about right and is advertized as being able to house up to 16" screens... So, I did a GOOGLE search to find its dimensions (14.9"x10.1"x1.7"). Bingo!

I was surprised at how fast it was delivered. I ordered it late at night on the 31st and it was at my door on the 2nd! So, COMPUTER BRAIN definitely provides speedy service! I was a little disappointed about the shipping fees, though. The sleeve only weighs 11.5 oz and it cost over $7.00 for it to go from KY to CA!

As far as how it fits... it's like a glove! It's as if it was made specially for my laptop! The only complaint I have is that it has a very strong rubbery odor (it's neoprene) for the first several days. Airing it out is definitely recommended! LOL

I would recommend this product to anyone with a 15-16" wide screen (measured diagonally). And remember: MEASURE YOUR LAP TOP BEFORE YOU BUY! (Otherwise, it'll either be too tight or too baggy!)

UPDATE (Jan/2012): Well, I have had this sleeve for about 2.5 years now, and I am happy to report that it is still in great shape! The zippers still glide smoothly and the neoprene material has held up well (no tears, thinning, or stitching coming loose). I will say, tho, that it does tend to attract pet hair -dog hair in particular. But, that's not anything a little shipping tape or a lint brush can't peel off! The case is now at a GREAT price! Wow! So jealous I didn't get it for just $15.99 with my Prime Shipping! (I paid close to $25 back in 2009!) I'm also happy to say that my laptop is still in great condition! I will definitely be buying another slim Acer Aspire Timeline when it comes time to retire my current laptop! Six to eight hours of battery life? Yes, please!

This is the first time I've bought one of these sleeves I always used a bag or case before with more storage and padding. But, if all you want to do is protect the laptop from minor scrapes and scratches and keep off the dust, this does the trick. However, if you want to go through airports with it, you might want to consider something with more padding for greater protection. For what it is, it's well made with a good zipper and storage pouch on the front.

TITLE World Champion Sport Bag/Back Pack

Don't expect it to fit into the tiny lockers at most Boxing gyms, but there is plenty of room for boxing gloves, towels, water, extra clothes etc. The zipper is a giant tread like connector. Athalon Computer Backpack

This is a large good quality backpack. I am going to be using mine for weekend trips with a DLSR and a laptop. It has many sections that will make organization easy. The material is sturdy and the build looks top notch. I expect to get many years of use out of this backpack. I ordered one in Batik for myself and one in plaid for my daughter. The reason I took away one star is because the color in the pictures is very inaccurate. I checked on 3 different monitors after I received them and the pictures are very misleading. The Batik is not the almost jewel toned blue, but in fact a dull navy with a somewhat faded looking white pattern. I needed that one right away and it is ok although a disappointment. The plaid is black and charcoal with a dull orange stripe. That one was for my daughter and is on it's way back. So this luggage line (I ordered other pieces as well) is well made and well thought out, but the colors are not so pretty and not well represented in pictures.

I used this backpack this past weekend and it was super. It fit my computer, DLSR and the related accessories as well as two sets of clothes, PJ's, and the usual toiletries/personal items. All with room to spare. It was comfortable thrown over one shoulder, stayed in place, and was even better over both shoulders with the chest strap buckled. Normally I would like a a waist strap for a heavy pack, but for the time I carried this it was comfortable without one. I can certainly recommend this for functionality. Today I also received the green one for my daughter and It is a really nice green. Not quite as "glowy" as the picture, but very attractive. You will not go wrong with this line of bags/luggage.

The colours are not bright like in pitcher but a good bag once it arrived a moth latter than what was estimated

Dakine 25-Litre Mission Pack

This is my second Dakine Mission Pack, and both have performed above and beyond my expectations. There are enough pockets to hold any and everything, and most pockets are fleece lined. The main compartment is large enough for sweatshirts and books, and comes with a laptop sleeve that can fit most laptops. Lastly, the build quality is astounding. My last one held up for 5+ years. The fabric is water resistant and the stitches are strong.

Overall, I would highly recommend this backpack.

It holds things well. The zippers work and it's pretty sturdy. Good backpack for basic stuff. If you use it to hike up Mt. Everest you're going to die. Don't use it to hike up Mt. Everest. Otherwise it's a good pack.

I ordered 2 of these bags one for each of my daughters. I had started out searching for cases with memory foam and ended up ordering these based mainly on color selection and price. There is foam on either side but they are considerably thinner than I had anticipated. They do get protect the laptops frm bumps and jars and I suppose the lighter weight can be considerd a plus for a child to carry. Being thinner I am afraid they will not protect the laptops as well as a heavier foam might have should they get hit harder or stepped on.. They aren't made well, we have had them since christmas and the rubber pull tab has come off the side zipper on one already. They don't have any loose strings, etc. yet though. Had I seen them before hand I would have opted for a more durable case with thicker more dense foam. These cases are so open inside that the foam has no need to conform to the laptops and they slip to the bottom of the case when you pick them up. Bottom line I will choose another bag next time.

I had a reversible sleeve for my 13" notebook. Perfect fit. I love those reversible as you can use it Inside-Outside. The sleeve is washable, which is a plus for me. I would recommend the product.

I have an Inspiron 13", fit nicely to my laptop. I bought the blue one. I put the notebook into the sleeve and pretty much carry it in my backpack. As we found this sleeve by searching for XPS we assumed that 13" would be good for 13.3". We were wrong! The case looks smart and comes in a wrapper that states upd to 13.3" water resistant slim fit but alas it was too small for our XPS M1330 laptop and we are having to return it. good strong back pack...should last for at least two school years..can't beat that...especially when you are dealing with boys...hope this will last him through elemetary school..

I had a black Jansport backpack that got me through Highschool and into college. My little brother has one as well. Neither of us treat our stuff very well. The bag is a good fit for kids.

ecogear Ocean Backpack

I like it. I'm picky so there are certain things that bug me. Here's a pro/con list to make things clearer:

PROS

-Waterproof

-Spacious

-Durable

-Well Constructed

-Good zippers

-Good pockets

-Fair Design

-Looks nice

-The separators for pens & other items are good (not too many, but just enough)

-There is a clip for keys inside the smaller front pocket & it makes getting my keys out a lot easier than digging for them! (but I have to take bag off completely to do so)

CONS

-Mesh gets caught in zippers

-Front mesh pocket is too small to fit my smart phone & I bought it for that reason

-Both sets of zippers on front look the same & because of the rounded design it is confusing which is which & I often open the wrong one.

-When open you cannot grab the bag and move it across a room really fast because everything (and I mean everything) will fall out.

-There is no barrier from the main compartment to the straps on the inside, meaning anything you spill, like granola, for example, will pour into the interior of the straps & probably never come out.

-Not much fits in the little side pockets.

-It's difficult to get things in & out while keeping bag on one shoulder. I have to take it off completely.

-It needs a back strap/waist strap. It might just be me but I bought this in hopes of using a backpack that eased the agony of lower back pain but most bags with back straps are too big to begin with. I thought the ergonomic design on this Ecogear bag would help but it hasn't made much difference from other backpacks I've had. Even small bags need straps (removable is fine)

-Due to shape envelopes or folders bigger than 8x11 tend to get bent at corners.

I'm not getting rid of it. So far it's the better or even best of what I can find in my price range. Like I said, I am picky, and I've searched for several years & bought many bags that I regret. So I'm trying to give this one a chance & be patient until I adjust. We shall see...

*Update: April 2013. I can't figure out which pouch I'm opening because the zippers look the same, and it often hurts my back. I need a waist strap. I get angry that it has to be closed to even pick up or else everything falls out. My phone was too big for the little mesh pocket on the strap, but my Metrocard falls out of it. I admit I am super picky and have a very bad back (sciatica), but this bag makes me angry. I wish I had returned it.

I was looking for a backpack that needn't hold a computer in which I could throw a camera, sunglasses, and few small electronics or books. This is the bag. It is light, comfortable, and provides ample pockets for storing items separately.

As a motorcycle rider, I bought this bag primarily because it was the right size for me (to carry my 14" ultrabook and some notebooks/books) and because it had the sternum strap. It has exceeded all my expectations for comfort, style, and function.

Works fine for a laptop, a bunch of cables and a few documents. If you want put more stuff in the bag, you shoud buy a big one. For day use, is OK.

Kinross Cashmere Tuck Stitch Long Glove

Nothing bad to say. Purchased to wear with a black wool poncho. Had it delivered to Las Vegas where I was staying at a Casino & Resort.

The only disappointment was that they were very thin in gauge. I had hoped they would be thicker.to be a little warmer.
