I just got my backpack yesterday(ahead of delivery date), and this backpack is ROOMY!!!! I can carry my paramedic bk(it's like 2 dictionary's in one), my workbk, and 2 other textbks for class along w/ my laptop and all of my other stuff for class that I carried in a different bag. Now I carry everything I need in ONE bag!!!!! Get this bag if u need a lot of room for bks and all u school stuff!!!!!

I've had this backpack since mid-August 2010 (so almost 11 months).

While it's decently roomy, and has plenty of pockets one of the shoulder straps is starting to separate where it's stitched to the top of the bag. The opening for a headphone cord to pass through from the "media pocket" wasn't even cut open on mine. And, the second pocket (below the media player pocket) is ripped, so anything you put in that pocket falls inside the bag.

Finally, the "phone pocket" is too small for most phones.

On the plus side, it has a decent amount of padding for a laptop.

Good idea, fair execution, terrible quality. It may hold up a bit better in a corporate environment, but definitely not in a school environment (where you're lugging textbooks around all day).

I got this backpack for my brother in school and he has not let it out of his sight when going to school. Durable, light, cleans easy when washed. Good quality at a budget price. I ended up reselling the 3 others I had kept as gifts (made fast bucks on the backpacks), though I got those from Tiger Direct.

I shopped around for a backpack that would protect my laptop and be easy on the wallet. I believe I found it in this backpack. This backpack has lots of storage compartments, securely holds your laptop in place and had a good bit of padding to help keep your laptop safe. It has nice padded shoulder straps with pocket to hold your cell. It is very well made and comes with a 5 year limited warranty. I got it at a nice price however I did see it $10 cheaper a week or so before I made my purchase. The price I paid was still very reasonable compared to the prices I saw in local stores and other on line retailers. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a well constructed, well padded, well designed and reasonably priced backpack. The only negative I have with the backpack is the sewn on MICROSOFT logo on the back. I removed the one on my backpack. I didn't want to advertise to any thieves the fact that my backpack had a laptop inside instead of maybe just books and junk. I know if someone is going to steal a backpack on the chance it has a computer inside I sure didn't want to give them a heads up to grab mine first. Don't know if that would make any difference but by removing the "HERE TAKE ME" label on the back was my attempt to keep my belongs safe.

I bought this backpack on special and the value was excellent. My grand daughter was elated and her laptop fit perfectly. The additional back pocket was made like a purse so a student could carry his/hers personnel items without having to carry a purse or alternate bag/case. Well worth the price. I noticed that a lot of the viewer rated the backpack's durability as poor. My grand daughter just started school so give me a semester.
