I brought the "Princess and the frog" bookbag because my daughter loves anything princess Tiana. For me the purchase choice was because it pictured a African American character, there's not many African American character in our society. Anyway, what I really like about the bookbag Is how many pockets for many different uses, as well as how secure the straps is on my daughter back. I would recommend this bookbag, it is worth every penny :-)

Travel Buddies Luggage Set

This luggage set is a FANTASTIC product for kids. I used to have to carry my kids luggage through the airport in addition to my own. Now my kids insist on carrying their own luggage. My son has Archie Alien and my daughter has Percy Penguin. They are great quality, hold enough kid clothes for a trip and have a matching backpack that fits snugly inside when not being used. My kids put their carryon things in the backpack and wheel their luggage. The cases are super quality and we have had no issues with anything breaking on them after much use (when we are not travelling, they use the case to hold their toys and they use the backpacks all the time). All in all, a really unique, practical and fun product that any kid would love! We have gotten stopped in the airport numerous times asking where we found them! I highly recommend!

I just ordered the Percy Penguin Travel Buddies Luggage Set for my son (4 y.o.) & we put it to the test this weekend on a trip to California. Very impressed with the quality & how the suitcase rolls. The size is perfect for a young one; big enough to hold their clothes for a weekend trip and more functional than the Melissa & Doug Trunki. The backpack is big enough for some toys but not too big that it can be overstuffed & too heavy to wear. Helps keep a nice limit on the number of toys brought on a trip! Perhaps one of the best things about this luggage set is the way it makes people smile as you roll it through the airport. I ordered the Lola Ladybug luggage set. The product does not match Amazon's description. I received a 16" suitcase & 12" back pack. The product is LISTED as 18" suitcase and 13" backpack. 16" vs 18" suitcase is a considerable difference when dealing with air travel and trying to pack as much as possible in a carry-on. It was very disappointing to receive the smaller suitcase. The design is nice but the product should be listed accurately so people receive what they think they are ordering.

Kavu Mini Backpack Victorian Blue 926-108

The backpack is really cute. 100% cotton, lightweight and small. It would fit an Ipad in a protective case, a light rainjacket, small umbrella, phone and wallet essentials for a day in town, basically.

But when I adjusted the straps to fit, I found that the plastic adjustment buckle rests uncomfortably on the front of my shoulder, with only the Ipad inside the pack. I'm 5'4" and average build and weight.

The shipping from the seller, DealYard, was free and fast. However, there was no indication when I ordered that there would be a restocking fee. Plus you have to pay your own return shipping. It cost me a $3.74 restocking fee plus $7.55 in USPS parcel post shipping with insurance and tracking (recommended by DealYard) in order to return this item, which I couldn't use.

I would have given 4 stars for the item because of the fit issue, but I have to give it 2 because it cost me $11.29 to try it on! Just thought you should know about the restocking fee and return shipping costs.

Eagle Creek Travel Gear Susie Travel Clutch

I bought this bag for an upcoming trip to Ireland but it has been in constant use since I unpacked it. It is large enough to hold all my credit cards, my cell phone, glasses and soft case, check book, pens and pencils, cash and even my point and shoot camera (though that made it bulge a bit much). Small enough to fit inside what I consider a medium sized hand bag. The main inside compartments are secured with a zipper, there is also a unzippered compartment behind that and another zippered compartment on the back. I has a nice long strap (quite sturdy) that fits over even my bulky body. Not exactly an evening bag but would work for all but the most dressy occasions.

I absolutely love this bag! It is everything it says and more. It has held up now with daily use for several years. The color is beautiful, inside and out. I get compliments on it all the time. It holds so much. Perfect to carry on its own or drop into my tote bag. Sturdy handles and closures. This is one of the best bags I have ever owned.

I have bought several bags in the past year. Wheels tend to wear down and fall off so far this has been a very large durable bag. WOrth the money...

The shipping & handling was great.

The case is big along with the handy laptop bag that slips perfecty on the carry handle.

It is well built, roll smoothly & very convenient.

I bought it for 2-3 day biz trips where the capacity is ideal & I take everything on board.

The only drawback is the lack of mini pocket on the laptop hand bag.

I bought a Swiss Gear rolling bag for work.

The wheels are not nearly large enough but that's NOT the big problem...the BIG problem is the handle system. This is my second bag and the second time the handles broke.

There was a 10 year warranty...but OH my...did they give me a hard time.

They did replace the bag...but same problem a little while later...the handles either stick in the up position, or worse...the collapsed position.

The covering on the handle fell apart.

This company obviously does not make cases for everyday use!

No more Swiss gear for me. Shame...the rest of the bag was OK.

Dakine Central Pack

I'd like to start this off by saying that I've had this backpack for about three months and am impressed. This backpack feels durable, has the storage space I need, and just looks great. I've had no problem with the straps, zippers, or any other part of the bag. I only wish that this bag had more pockets; I often that I have too many random things stuffed into the outer pocket that I have to dig through for longer than I'd like to find what I'm looking for. The top outer pocket is useful for storing your glasses or wallet anything that's small and you need to keep in reach.

The capacity of the main pocket, in my experience, is about two 2-inch binders and one 1.5-inch binder (I'm estimating). I usually don't need more space than that, and I'm in high school. Don't expect to carry all your textbooks AND binders in this bag, as you would look like an idiot you know, those people who obviously have stuffed too much crap into their backpacks.

This bag is also a breath of fresh air for those who are sick of those bland JanSports that everyone seems to be wearing (at least at my school).

I own two of these. One in Coyote & one in OD Green. I use one for camping/hiking and one for daily use. I've traveled with it as well as a carry on. This thing is AWESOME. Dakin Girls Lark Pack

This is a great backpack, the only complaint I have is that it's a little long if you're on the short side. I'm about 5' 1" and find the backpack a little long for my back but it's fine. Besides that, it's a sturdy and good quality backpack. I used it everyday last year to carry tons of books to and from college and it still looks like new. I highly recommend this brand.

Mountainsmith Lumbar-Recycled Series Swift TLS R Backpack

I purchased the cobalt Mountainsmith Tour in November 2011 and loved it for school and bike commutes, however the only problem was the size. It was simply too big for the "daily purse/bag" or lite hiker.

After a lot of research I decided to go with Mountainsmith again and purchase this new Swift TLS in black. It is absolutely perfect for the daily use bag! It fits all misc daily items and still has room for more without looking too bulky.

The front shove-it pocket is deeper and more secure than indicated in the pictures too. It can safely fit a phone, notepad, pens, mp3, and whatever else you decide to stuff. The compression straps can also double in function to hold a spare shirt or light rain shell. The hip belt is perfect too, just the right size and durability with airflow and security.

I would say the only drawbacks I have experienced with this bag are the chest strap (too slender/minimal adjustment and does not sit right on my back and shoulders), no haul handle (such as the one found on the tour) and difficulty carrying my extra large water bottles (this of course defeats the "light day bag" concept however).

Overall this is an awesome pack and I highly recommend it!

For the price, this is exactly what we were looking for in a small day pack and as a front pack for longer hikes. It's the perfect size for a couple of water bottles, a camera, snacks, a small first aid kit, map, compass, and other small things you might need to reach for during a hike. We are very happy with this bag.

The case is very nice. Getting the right cut on the skin for the top of my computer took a few tries. Remember to always start bigger you can always cut away more if needed. However the mouse pad didn't make me happy. It is pretty but the edges are sort of lifting up. Almost like the fraying on pants. For the price with the shipping I expected a little better.

Petunia Pickle Bottom Boxy Backpack Convertible Diaper Bag

I love the pattern. I love that you just wipe it clean. I love the fold out changing station, that is so darn handy. I love the pattern. The size is great for a large diaper bag. What I absolutely hate are the straps! For nearly $200 you should have very comfortable straps. The shoulder strap has no padding and what is worse the backpack straps are nearly useless they are very un-ergonomic and uncomfortable. The bag keeps slipping off my shoulders and ends up hurting my back. I end up using a 15 year old Jansport backpack when I am not taking my stroller but need more than a clutch style diaper bag will hold. I usually leave this in the back of my Mazda 5 so I can fold down a seat and have a handy changing station.

I love this bag! The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the steep price, the dang velcro that is super strong and sticks to everything ruining a lot of my clothing and fraying the seatbelt like straps, and also because I own a lighter fabric which has become dirty due to rubbing against dark jeans, and spilled baby food. Even though the material is waterproof be careful because it can stain. Also, the company does not want you to wash it in the machine.. but I did anyways, no damage done, but the stains didn't come out. I do not recommend putting it in the dryer! Now onto what I love about this bag.. I love how it can be a backpack or a shoulder bag.. I pretty much always have it on my back and then am carrying my baby in the ERGO in the front. The diaper-duty front zip part is very convenient. When I have to change my son when we are out, I can hold him with one arm, while I set the bag towards the top of the changing station, unzip and roll out the pad and then place him onto it.. It is super easy having everything right there! Also the bag is gorgeous! The applique or handstitched design adds a nice touch and I have been very pleased with it thus far. All the designs they have are fun, and I was able to still pick a cool design without being at all girly since I have a baby boy. I am actually looking forward to buying another one if I have another girl next because they are that beautiful!

I use this bag all the time. It is very convenient where the mattress pad is stored. Sometimes I just unzip the changing pad portion, then unfold it out, I have all my changing supplies right in front of me.

After adding all your gear, the bag can get heavy due to the coated material. I chose this bag because you can wipe it clean easily, it has a nice pattern, has backpack straps and doesn't scream diaper bag I think it is a little overpriced for what you getit doesn't come with stroller clips (an additional $20) or an insulated bag. There are other stylish brands who do provide both those option and possibly more.

I withheld a star for its weight, lack of insulated compartment and for needing to purchase stroller clips.

I have owned several different diaper bags. I was especially attracted to the front changing system on this diaper bag. The inside is VERY tight and small to me. You can only fit three size 3 diapers in the front pocket, and I like to put atleast 6 or 7 diapers in my bag. Not worth the money in my opinion.

It's hard to tell from the pictures provided, but this is a small backpack. My 9 year old wanted an extra backpack to take toys to his friend's houses, and this has sufficed, but only just. It's sized for a preschooler, but would not work as a school backpack for elementary or higher.

Unless you have to fit about five giant text books, this backpack is great. Regular backpacks are oversized anyway. This is not just a backpack for kids.

My daughter is obsessed with backpack, but when she received this for her birthday and opened it she was sorely disappointed. There aren't that many pieces to play with(not to mention boots was damaged because he was not protected by anything) the backpack has a pretty big piece of cardboard in the bottom so it looks fuller than it actually is. That would have been fine if backpack was actually a backpack. There are no straps in her back and she is tied down with those plastic ties to the cardboard through her plastic! Backpack is not durable at all after seeing there were 2 holes on each side I knew that she would be ripped in no time and i was right. After putting things in her a few times the holes in the sides got bigger and bigger. My daughter kept asking me to help her wear backpack like Dora does and I had to keep telling her no that you can't do that with this one and she was really upset. If you are looking for this set just for the few pieces of mega blocks then I guess that is good for that purpose but if you are looking to use the backpack as well don't count on it because it most likely will end up in the trash with the box.

Hello Kitty Medium Backpack

My daughter got obsessed with kitty at some point, so I wanted to find something not too pink, but at the same to satisfy 2nd grader's sense of style. The backpack turned out to look even better than in the picture, due to contrast in colors and some tasteful glitter on pink lines/decor. At the same time, because background is black, you don't have to wash it every 3 days, though, the pink ribbing does show usage by elementary school owner. The only warning that it is not as big as most backpacks that you see in stores for this age group. If she had to use medium size binders, it would be quiet challenging. However, with our school, she carries a few paperback from class library for weekly reading, 2 marble notebook, a regular folder and a math workbook, and it zips easily; just comparing with her previous backpack, I can say this one is smaller than standard ones.

Ordered this for my almost 7 year old as a replacement for her current back pack that had fallen apart and thought for a 7 year old something described as being "medium" sized would be appropriate...it was not. This is truly more of a preschool backpack. Does not even come close to hitting her waste and she is a normal sized 7 year old. It fit's a small lunch pail and a pair of shoes...not much more. Given the choice I would not order this again to fill our needs. On the upside, it is very cute and well made.

Petunia Pickle Bottom Boxy Backpack in Central Park North Stop

We used to own the older model Petunia Pickle Bottom Women's Boxy Backpack Diaper Bag, Black Currant but we returned it to get this bag. We got a 20% off coupon from a local retailer and got it there instead of Amazon. (Sorry Amazon!) But since I use Amazon for all my reviews (even when I'm in retail stores), I wanted to share my thoughts.

PROS:

The bag is large enough (in fact, it seems a little larger than the older model) to hold plenty of stuff. We easily fit in 1-2 spare outfits, socks, shoes, binkies, nursing cover, 1-2 bottles, lotion, hand sanitizer, formula, and of course diapers and wipes.

I like that the changing pad on the front can unzip and the wipes and diapers fit nicely in convenient pouches in the front. The pad can be removed for easy washing as well.

The bag has sufficient storage for smaller items (2 side pockets are perfect for hand sanitizer, lotion, binkies, or cell phone. The inside has a couple open pouches as well as a zipped pouch.

The outside has a nice texture that doesn't snag like our old model (it had a fuzzy texture that sometimes caught on velcro and tape). It's a simple "stamped" style pattern but it doesn't look or feel cheap.

We almost always use the back-pack style straps since we prefer having both hands free for carrying other objects (like the baby carseat!). If you use it over your shoulder it can slip pretty easily since the straps don't have any padding or grip.

CONS:

Although not a straight "con", the straps are still a little simple. I thought they might add some padding, but I also haven't ever had too many heavy items in the bag that would require a lot of padding. Besides, how long am I ever carrying the bag? 10 minutes at most? Usually it is in the car, on the ground, or in the stroller. So the padding isn't a must.

COMPARISON TO OLDER MODEL:

So far we like this newer model much better. The biggest improvement is the lack of velcro on the top flap that folds over the whole bag. On the older model they had velcro that came loose by simply picking up the bag. So if you forgot to zip up the bag and simply folded over the flap, the contents of the bag would spill out. But on this newer model, they have magnets (stronger than the velcro) as well as 2 snap settings (1 for normal fit, 1 for stuffing in extra capacity into the bag). It seems like they listened to their customers and we thank the company for that.

Hopefully this review helps you in your decision to buy. We like the bag... it's functional, looks good (come on, I'm a guy and I don't mind carrying it), and it works great. If you appreciate this review, please let me and the other reviewers know. And leave a comment with any questions.

Case Logic VNCi-116 Value 16-Inch Laptop Backpack(Black)

Although this Case Logic VNCi-116 Value 16-Inch Laptop Briefcase has a "Value" word in its name, everything about it exudes high quality.

This is the the kind of case that can zipper-open three sides of its rectangular case shape; therefore it can easily accommodate my 17.3-inch HP DV7 notebook computer, even though it is meant for computers under 16 inches.

There is a large zippered side pocket that you can use to store the computer's AC adapter and cord, plus a few small items.

The case is well-padded all around to protect against bumps and is very light.

I highly recommend this 16-inch case if you want high quality and versatility but don't want to pay too much for it.

Comparison to another 16-inch case:

The Case Logic VNCi-116 design is in contrast to Case Logic VNA-216 16-Inch Laptop Attache (Black), where the zipper openning is merely ONE side of its rectangular shape. The VNA-216 will accommodate my 15.6-inch HP ProBook 5420s, but the fit is too snug for an effortless removal and storage of the computer. Because of the tight fit of this case, I would be very careful when taking a computer out of the case and when putting it in, for fear of the zippers scraping against the case edges of the computer. I deem the VNA-216 suitable only for computers smaller than 14 inches. You can check my review on this case on its web page at Amazon.com.

This bag is perfect for someone who just needs a basic laptop bag. My 16-inch laptop fits perectly in my bag and the other pouches offer plenty of additional space for batteries, power chords, and other accessories. The zippers slide smoothly and the bag strap is srong and durable when carrying the bag. The cost is very good as well, so this bag is highly recommended to even the casual laptop user.

If you want light, compact, case this is the best for the price. Great for carrying, light, very easy to place the laptop (Studio XPS 16), good zippers, exact space in extra pockets for ac adapter, battery a few cds.

If you expect a heavy duty case, this is not for you. Need to be careful, the protections are thin, so don't expect the bag to protect from a hard hit.

I ordered this Caselogic laptop case based on my prior experiences with Caselogic products and the price. I have had several other Caselogic cases over the years and have always been extremely pleased with the quality. Since I don't travel with my laptop that often, I didn't want to invest a lot of money on a case. I just wanted something to carry it safely on those few occasions when I do take it along on a trip. What I like about this case is that it is light weight and has extra compartments for storage, and it looks great. However, I was very disappointed with the lack of padding in the laptop compartment, and it only had one strap to hold the laptop in place, which was not centered. While my 15.6" Dell fits fine, it does wiggle around a little since it's only held in place by one velcro strap. The listing for the item said the laptop compartment was "heavily padded". This is not true. The padding is extremely thin. While the case will serve its purpose and give me a way to carry my laptop, I really wish there was more padding. If you want a laptop case that will actually protect the laptop, this is not the case for you. If you just want something stylish to carry your laptop around, this one is ok.

A few years ago I purchased another bag to carry my laptop...and my books...and electronic gizmos...and my files...and my lunch. It felt like I was toting a library. Since then I've learned to travel light. This Case Logic VNCi-116 is a real buy. The laptop "pocket" is zippered around three sides. There is an internal strap (velcro) to secure the laptop. There's another zippered space for files, pens, cell phone, e-reader. I've not been disappointed.

The only thing I wish it had was an un-zippered pocket. The photo looks like it might have one, but that line of piping is only style. An un-zippered pocket might be good for things you might need to get to quickly...like a ringing cell phone. Some have claimed there isn't enough padding. Well, that may be true if you want to clobber somebody with it. It is adequate and protective enough for active everyday us.

I bought this backpack to take with me on my vacation. The straps are wide and padded well so heavy loads in the bag won't cause the straps to dig into your shoulders. The little soft pouch on top is good for quickly storing your sunglasses or cell phone, especially when going through airport security. The insulated pouch is a nice idea but doesn't really have enough volume to hold a water bottle larger than say 12oz. What I did find it useful for was keeping important items dry when the rain started pouring. The laptop pouch is padded on the bottom which is good for keeping your laptop/tablet safe from dings. The only real complaint I had was that the front pouch is just a little tight (i.e. doesn't open very far). But that was a minor issue. All in all a nice looking, versatile, and well built bag.

I ride a bike. I have an older back pack that is HUGE but heavy. I measured my old back pack to make sure I got a similar size. Once I got this back pack, I quickly realized that this thing holds EVERYTHING so well. And... it is so light. It is rugged enough for the abuse I give it, and I've had it 30 days so far and I am really amazed at how functional it is. Well made too.

I have mine for 4 months now and I'm really pleased with it. it made out of good materials, you can use it with just a laptop but there is always room for other things to put in. it is isolated enough to withstand the weather. I don't have anything bad to say about this bag.
