Universal Travel Adapter Plug Kit

I travel a fair bit but seem to often misplace my adapters, so this is maybe my fourth set in recent years.

These are nice and lightweight and will adapt your two-prong US outlets to the European/Asian round two pins, as well as the UK big ol' three prongs, and the Australian slanted prongs. The fourth piece seems to be to US two prongs and appears to work from European round prongs, but not Australian slanted prongs.

When I travel, I also carry the US three-prong to two-prong adapter for my computer. The way these are designed, a US three-prong will also fit into them, which possibly means you don't need the extra piece. That might be a safety hazard because it leaves the third prong exposed? I dunno. It might functionally be the same.

I was specifically looking for the US to European round prong adapter and don't often need the others, so I appreciate this set, which is affordable. It's also handy that it comes with a little bag to store things in.

Remember that these are adapters, but not power converters. Your computer likely handles dual current; my camera battery charger and phone charge do as well. And that's all I take when I travel... but check your own electronics for the current; you might need a converter and not just an adapter.

I found that this packet had everything I needed. It was fantastic and it comes with it's own cute little bag. You have to remember this is not a converter simply an adapter. If you have a hair dryer or something like that you need a converter. This suited my purpose charging a camera battery and a cell phone. I found this helpful and I am glad I purchased it.

When this came in the mail, my wife laughed at me. Then I laughed at me. It looks like a giant diaper and couldn't be less stylish. I looked into returning it, but it would have cost me more than the product itself to do so, hence I kept it.

It's OK. It does the trick, and it fits my 10.1" Netbook, an ASUS EEE PC.

The velcro is pretty solid, but honestly, spend a few bucks more and get something with a pocket or at least a divider. This is just a sac made out of puffy material.

I purchased this sleeve to keep my Asus Eee PC Netbook from getting scratched while on a trip. It does what I wanted it to do so I gave it four stars, but I really didn't think this purchase through very much.

The sleeve did the job of keeping the netbook's glossy cover from getting scratched while in my carry-on bag and while in the room safe. But that's all that fits in the sleeve--it doesn't really allow room for anything else. The power cord didn't fit in there with it, and there is no room for anything else like a portable mouse either. If you do try to shove something else in there with the netbook, I suspect it would probably scratch your netbook and/or also put so much added pressure on the velcro that it would not close.

Bottom line: if you only want to make sure your netbook doesn't get scratched (by keeping it completely encased by itself without the power cord or other accessories), this is a great choice. If you are expecting something along the lines of a laptop bag that you can carry everything in, you will be disappointed.

I did a bit of research before hand trying to find a good sized bag I could keep organized and have a comfortable fit.

This bag does just that for me.

The colors are very vibrant and cause me to get a lot of compliments on this back pack. It's a very cool looking bag.

The zippers are very nice and the second compartment zipper is hidden under some material so it might get annoying when you have to unzip it over and over then have to move it each time.

The whole bag is divided very nicely to keep my different notebooks and books organized.

The straps are very comfortable and the bag itself is very padded on the back so nothing is digging into my shoulders or hitting my back if I run around with books in it.

Sadly I do not give it five stars because it ALMOST fits my HP pavilion DV7 laptop but does not cover it entirely...almost though. I figured I wouldn't have any luck but it did suggest it could fit 17in laptops.

I suggest buying this if you like lot's of space and something colorful with an edge! :D

I bought this bag for my stepdaughter, who is a junior in high school, and it is so durable. She carries so many books in this thing and the stitching is incredibly strong. The zippers are heavy-duty and the straps are very comfortable she says. The chest strap is great for taking strain off her back. She also loves the design. I wish I would have bought this for her sooner instead of going through two bags already this school year (as I write this it is January and she has gone through two bags in four months). It is a larger sized bag so I wouldn't suggest purchasing it for a child younger than late middle school.

I emailed Victorinox about the pack and they sent me this bag a replacement. All I had to pay was the S&H for my old bag. Even though this pack is a little pricey, it is well made, and if you have any problems, Victorinox is very good at fixing them. I highly recommend this product to anyone.

I bought this bag over a year ago. I have taken it everywhere. I have taken it over seas and on many holidays. I have been using it almost everyday cycling to work and university. It holds my laptop and books as well as a change of clothes. I am using a macbook pro retina 15 inch which fits in perfectly and the back padding makes it very comfortable to wear. Whenever I use anyone else's backpack it feels dreadful to carry compared to this one. The quality is top notch. I have inspected every inch of this bag and it uses high quality zippers and materials. I found it does resist water, however, with enough water it does get through. Which I am obviously not deducting from the score as it is not advertised or intended to be completely water resistant. But I thought I would mention that the back and front do have a water resistant layer that I found works well. I use a bag cover for it when it is raining if I cycle.

It is very durable and I have put mine through lots but it is perfect. Excellent product and I think anyone who appreciates quality will love this bag just as much as me.

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend. He wanted a functional, but not too bulky back pack. So far the ful Free Fall'n backpack has proven to be both these things and he absolutely loves it. There's tons of space for both your laptop and books in the main compartment. Also, there's many side compartments for whatever storage one might need. If you need a functional backpack that's not too big, this is the one for you.

First, let me say that this backpack has not yet stood the test of time. I have had it for less than a week.

It does, however, look and feel like a well built and heavy duty backpack.

The backpack doesn't sag while you wear it, or pull/press on particular areas of the body. It feels like a solid mass which sits equally across the upper back. As such, it is very comfortable.

The bottom of the pack is made of a rubbery material which is thick and waterproof. You shouldn't worry about setting it down when the ground is wet.

As the other reviewer has noted, there are many small compartments throughout the pack. There are really more than I know what to do with. The large compartment currently contains my laptop (in a padded internal compartment) and my textbooks, including a hefty physics book. I haven't even touched the middle compartment yet, but I'm sure that I'll find something to do with it. It might be good for my field gear (i.e. rock hammer, etc.).

My one issue is that my laptop is 14.1". It fits very snugly in the laptop compartment with little if any wiggle room. This is great for me, but I don't know how you are going to fit a 17" laptop into it, as is advertised.

UPDATE 03/08/11:

I have now had this for a little over 5 months, exclusively for transporting school supplies. I haven't used it in any rough activity. Through normal use, the larger front pocket has gradually torn away just above the zipper for about the length of the zipper. A smaller tear is appearing in the small front-bottom pocket. A tear is also making an appearance near the zipper of the large pocket (which houses the laptop).

The laptop pocket appears to be sufficient, but the padding is nowhere near so. My Thinkpad's corner was cracked. I did not abuse it in any way, such as dropping it into the pocket haphazardly. Setting the backpack on the floor was enough for it to crack the corner of my $900 computer. That crack has grown to reveal parts of the circuit board.

I bought this backpack for $30, as it looked like a dependable and high quality backpack. I ended up with garbage and the inevitable loss of a really nice $900 dollar computer.

My 50 dollar Coleman backpack that this replaced lasted over 5 years, during which I used it for everything from carrying books and a computer around, to carrying 50lb of rocks from a quarry. It never reached nearly the same amount of damage as the Ful did, which never had the same abuse.

When I first got this bag I was sorta disappointed that it had only one big full size compartment [the next compartment by size is big, but has not width stitched into it]. But I've been using this one for close to a month now and its already been super useful. I changed apartments and I could pack this bag upo with so much stuff without the zippers being all stretched out and about to give. There are so many little pouches that I had no idea what I'd do with initially, but over time they've all got their reason. It looks alright and you can see that its a bigger that average bag, but the one draw back is that it takes a while to get used to on your back. Its comfortable even with heavy loads but coz of its unusual size it feels different than other bags you'd have worn on your back.

So now 4 months into using this bag, the left shoulder strap is ripping. The material is tearing, not the stitching. The surprising part is that I'm a right handed and if I ever pick the bag up with the straps, I use the right strap and that has no rip or any signs of giving! Also, I contacted FUL about this problem and haven't been getting very prompt response from them :( Sad, coz I liked this bag and might have to work a little harder to get the warranty validated which decreases my love for the bag..

I really like the backpack style and compartments but the description says it will fit up to a 17" laptop. I have a 16.5" and when I put it in the sleeve the flap doesn't cover the end and the zipper rubs against the corners. I also have to pull up on the zippers when closing it to get it to go over the corners.

High Sierra Tech Series 59404 Titan 55 Internal Frame Pack

We are going on a 2-night, 3 day backpacking trip next weekend up the South Sister in central Oregon, and will be putting these packs to the test. I'll update my review at that time. My boyfriend and I each purchased one. First impression was good out out of the box. It was quite easy to adjust to my frame, 5'6" female, and my BF 5'9". We both have a lean torso, so having the flexibility there was important. MANY pockets! We noticed right away we'll need to buy compression bags for our sleeping bags, as ours aren't mummy bags and will take up a ton of room. The separate sleeping bag compartment seems a little small, but there are so many compartments and can unzip the divider, so I think it's a non-issue. They are super light empty also. I love that they are already hydration pack (blatter bag) ready and also an outer mesh holder for a water bottle. We'll see how they measure up next weekend!

UPDATE 9/17/12. The 3 day bakpacking trip was a success. We loved our bags. Very roomy and adjustable. Found them to be durable and functional. I would recommend this pack to anyone.

At $67 this pack was a steal in my opinion. I was in need of a pack capable of 2-3 night backpacking trips and this one didn't disappoint. I recently used the Titan 55 on a 3 day 2 night backpacking trip in the grand canyon and it held up perfectly. I was able to hike 24miles round trip with roughly 30lbs of gear quite comfortably. The straps were padded and comfy, the zippers never got stuck, and the compression straps on the outside were great for strapping on extra gear. Some of the threading and buckles seem a bit cheap, but at under $70 I can't complain too much.

This is a nice starter Back pack for the money. The contruction is pretty good, and it holds a decent amout of gear. You can't stick a Wiggy's 0 degree sleeping bag in it but I doubt many packs could handle it. The connecting hardware seems to be alittle on the light/cheap side, but light wieght is a good thing when every oz counts. I really like that the pack shoulder straps can be adjusted to fit the user. The shoulder straps are connected to the pack via a ladder system, similiar to Eberlestock packs. This comes in handy since I purchased this pack for my daughter. The pack has aluminum support stays that can also be removed and bent to fine tune the pack to the user. This is a big plus, but putting stays back in was difficult. The stays have little plastic caps on the ends of them and when I pulled out the aluminum stay the bottom plastic cap came off and I had to slowly work it out of the channel at the bottom of the pack up to the top, PIA and another reason it took away a star. This isn't a high end Gregory or Kelty etc but it is a good pack never the less at least in my humble opinion so much so that I purchased another. Oh and one more thing I really like the pouches built into the hip belt and the smaller cell phone carrier built into the shoulder strap. Nice feature.

This backpack holds everything I think I might possibly need and has room to spare! Holds my sleeping bag (about 10' round by 12" long) Therm-a-rest ridge rest pad, blanket, and long johns/wool socks all in the main compartment. In the external pockets I've got room for a mess kit, hobo tool, sierra saw, camp shovel, first aid kit, matches/lighters, multi-tool, and pocket knife with at least 2 medium and 1 small pockets to spare. I've strapped a machete, camp chair, and tent to the outside. Very comfortable to wear with the adjustable shoulder straps. I haven't had a chance to try it out in the field yet, but I can tell the quality of it's construction. It really seems like they thought of everything when designing this pack. A great deal at most any price, especially $100 less than similar packs at some sporting goods stores.

Gregory Alpaca Duffle Active Trail Backpack

I'm an avid outdoor sportsman and am a bit of a gear junky. As a result, I'm also a bit of a gear "bag" in an attempt to keep my equipment organized and ready to go at a moments notice. Gregory has been making nothing but quality bags and packs for years, My girlfriend and I currently own four Gregory packs and we absolutely love them and the Alpaca duffle (as predicted) did not disappoint. The construction of this bag is ULTRA heavy duty, on the verge of being indestructible. I initially bought the 120L bag in the white color (Amazon's price of 85 dollars was a great deal) and just purchased another, at Amazon's current price of 65 dollars this bag is an absolute steal! The bag is waterproof (not submersible) which is great for throwing winter sport gear in the back of the truck, the dual carry options are great, the backpack straps are comfortable and the shoulder strap works as it should. The mesh zippered compartment beneath the lid is great for keeping smaller items (beacons, gloves, socks, climbing skins) available and the main compartment of the 120L is cavernous! The exterior cinch straps help to lower the profile of the bag when not fully packed. The only complaint I have (and this isn't enough to subtract a star) is that the zipper (being so heavy duty) can be stiff while opening and closing the bag. However, I'd rather have a bag that a little more difficult to open and close as a result of being so heavy duty than a bag that's going to fall apart after a season or two of abuse. For some reason Amazon is selling this bag in the white color for at a HUGE discount...get 'em while the price is right! Another bag to consider in this class is the "Base Camp Duffel" made by the North Face...however, at Amazon's price I'd take the Gregory 10 times out of 10.

I carry a LOT of gear for work. Much of it is heavy, bulky, and awkwardly shaped. Over the last 17 years, I have blown out countless duffles from canvass to nylon. l started Using one of these 3 years ago and it barely shows any wear beyond some dirt. It is absolutely bombproof and worth the money if you need a heavy but absolutely reliable small duffle. Think of the trunks from Joe Versus the Volcano!

I recently used this bag on Mt. Kilimanjaro during monsoon season. I used the white, 60-liter model for my extra gear, so this bag was actuallycarried up the mountain by porters. I carried my daily gear in a daypack. The bag seems super durable and held up well on the trip. The white color shows a lot more dirt and scuffs than a darker color would, but I don't mind. I also figured it would be easier to spot on an airport luggage carousel than a black bag. I don't know if I would call the bag truly waterproof. The zipper will flood if it is submerged, and I think it could leak a little if water is allowed to pool around the zipper. The bag did keep my gear dry in some heavy rain though. I'd just take extra precautions for items that absolutely cannot get wet. I imagine that this bag will provide many years of hard use, and I would buy it again.

At first I thought it might be problematic the way the main compartment opens up, thinking it might be awkward to put in a laptop. Not at all! Plenty of space. Even though my laptop is smaller than 16" screen, the strap helps to keep it snug and secure.

I really like the compartments for SD cards, USB drives, and accessory pockets. Everything is kept clean and organized. I even have extra space (compared to my previous backpack from Dell) without having a larger backpack.

As for quality, only time will tell, but it looks and feels durable.

It's pretty comfortable and has good adjustments, very strong carry handle and all around great quality. I havent been caught out in the rain yet so I can't comment on how waterproof it is but my guess is it would deal with keeping water out just fine. If you don't pack it to the fullest the straps do a good job tightening it up, you can shrink it down very well to hug your body. It will happily carry your rifle or bow although I don't have a bow but it should work. Basicaly you can easily carry anything long,(trekking pole, shooting sticks, fishing pole...)The two back small pouches are nice for a knife and flashlight but the side waist compartments are perfect for a larger survival knife and other stuff for quick access. The cons are few but there are some, the optics center pouch is not extra space, when you put stuff in that area it takes up space from the main compartment but it's still nice to have a seperate space for that and is readily accesible from the top. The pack rides a little low, if you buckle the waist strap properly over your pelvis the darn thing rides a little low but that's not a show stopper, if you have a heavy rifle it may be cumbersome as the rifle hangs the furthest from your body, heavy items should always be closest to your body. I don't carry many things so I keep it sinched up, possible problem is solved. Even if you do pack it full the shoulder straps have good padding and it's pretty comfortable. I don't do any big game hunting so I mainly use it for hiking, fishing and plinking trips. I think this pack is worth the money and a good value.

This backpack doesn't fit the so-called a Jumbo backpack tag. It gets very crowded when you try to fit in a 3ring binder, some folders, and a book. I bought this for my son to use as a school backpack, and I was disappointed when it could hardly fit anything he'd use. If you're looking to buy a backpack for a middle schooler and it can't even fit the things you'd need to keep in it, it's a no brainer.
