it's practical to have a bag that can protect itself when it rains. i think the shape of this bag looks pretty much like a purse that I'd use for daily lives anyway (with or without the belt). i like that i can trust putting my valuables in this bag.
I am thoroughly pleased with this bag. It is light weight, comfortable and has so many convenient pockets. I would definitely recommend buying strapettes to accompany it, especially if you are a woman. The across-the-shoulder strap can be uncomfortable, and get in the way. The side straps are very comfortable, and work well on my hips. My one issue: the stitching inside the first pocket (with cell phone and key holders, etc.), started unraveling very quickly after I purchased and used the product. Otherwise, I have complete satisfaction--it is fast, convenient, stylish, and has a fabulous waterproofing system.
