I bought this bag for my 3rd grader and it is perfect. From the moment he opened the box when it was delivered, he loved everything about it: the design, the colors, the size. It is a big enough bag if your child has binders and textbooks to put in it. It also has front and side pockets. The side ones are the exact right size for water bottles. It seems to be well made, after a month of being used on a daily basis, there is no evidence of wear and tear at all.
