Your first impression? Holy crap this thing is heavy! This is a quality backpack, and even though it is heavy, it is very comfortable to wear and use. My only real con is for me the pockets could have been placed and sized a bit better for my daily use. I will say I do like this backpack and I am really glad I got it.

I was looking at a few... "unique" bags. I like to stand out a bit, but not in the sense of being "loud". It came down between this Ogio, Oakley's Kitchen Sink, and a Logitech bag.My absolute "must" criteria was top-tiered laptop protection. This was going to be a bag for college, and it needs to survive a lot of use (not abuse). With that said, it's unnecessary to mention it needs to have room for books. Not to mention, as a gamer, I needed room for my mouse, mousepad, and charger. I would like to point out that I use a fairly pricey computer, and I would say it may be over-kill if you use a basic $500 laptop. I mean, it's great and all, but the laptop compartment may not hold a thicker profile laptop (non-ultrabooks) very well. This is also directed at you alienware owners.... you may want to choose a different route (sadly). You MAY be able to squeeze the M14 in it though.
This Ogio won in the end with it's amazing "RSS" compartment. It holds my 15.4" macbook VERY snugly, but definitely has room for a 15.6". I think it's relevant to addthis will absolutely NOT hold more than a 15.6". If you have a 16", it will not zip up.
Outside of the RSS, it is fantastic quality. The zippers are great, the ballistic nylon is extremely thick, the straps are stout (and cool looking), and if you use the top handle on your bags, you're in for a treat with it's memory foam-ish feel. There's a pocket for everything I have. I also geocache, and I have a full-blown first aid kit in this thing, 4 flashlights, battery cargo, bug sprays, compass....etc and none of this stuff is in the main compartment, the top compartment, nor the front organizer compartment. Some other bags I've used, when the pocket are full of dense or hard cases, it doesn't feel right and interferes with other compartments, but not this one.
Anyway, it's a great bag, and I would definitely pay up to $150 for this bag. If it ever wears out, I will be buying this one again without hesitation.
