The backpack is outstanding as quality and comfort, BUT IF YOU NEED A BACKPACK FOR A 17" LAPTOP DO NOT BUY THIS ONE!!! IT SIMPLY DOES NOT FIT!!! I tried it with 3 different brands and models of laptops it doesn't work... the bag is very nice and it looks like it would carry my laptop well only one problem it says a 17 inch laptop will fit and mine doesnt too get it in the bag the corners of the of the laptop are bulging out through the zipper...

This bag is top notch in everyway: construction, functionality and design. I debated for some time as to which backpack to purchase for college classes (I'm 59 y/o pursuing my masters). I saw several of these being used on campus and decided to give it a try. I couldn't be more pleased.

Update: I wrote the below review in March 2010. I have been using this bag for last 3 years now and this is the best backpack anyone could have. Awesome product quality. Works like a charm. Extremely durable.

Awesome product. Sturdy, durable and looks great. Was in India for couple of months hauling 20+ pounds in this bag. It is rugged and has lots of room.

Pros : A lot of compartments, lots of space for everything, and more, adequately protects laptop and everything you need.

Cons : Feels bulky and extremely heavy. Too many metallic parts makes it feel clunky.
