This is the first backpack I have owned that completely fits my lifestyle. It can easily hold my Chromebook, two textbooks, and my school supplies without being bulky. I usually only give 4 star reviews but the attention to detail and construction of this backpack make it deserving of all 5.
I ordered the bag on a Tuesday and received it on a Thursday. I was very impressed at how fast I received it. The bag does what it's suppose to do. It protects my laptop and I have something to carry it around in. If I could change anything it would be to put the handles on the outside so you can zip the bag all the way close when the handle is in use.
My 9-year-old uses this as his gear bag for swimming. It holds a towel, sunscreen, water, and swimsuit just fine. It has more trouble holding clothes and shoes along with the swim stuff. It has been reasonably durable, but after about a month of daily use, it has gotten a tear where the mesh meets the nylon bottom of the bag.

I've been looking for a purple AmeriBag and finally found it. Beautiful color and I like everything about it. I would have preferred a distreesed nylon bag but it seems they don't make this color anymore in that fabric.
Worth it if u can afford the extra cash. Wish there were a medium size pocket in front of the large. Wetsuit pocket works great no leaks and big enough to fit my XL full body
Berghaus has been manufacturing excellent products for decades and I have been buying them for decades. This product is no exception. Strong, light and robust. The design is well thought out with plenty of uncluttered room for larger articles jacket plus whatever you need for a good day's hike in the mountains. I easily carried 10kg.s comfortably. There's also room for a water bladder as well, if you are so inclined. The pocket on the outside is well placed and provides for easy access for all those 'little things'. This is the sort of pack I use for a two three week trip to Asia or such like. Being a seasoned traveller this is what I consider to be the perfect balance between size and utilitynot too big, not too small, not too heavy and will withstand just about whatever you are inclined to throw at it.
