My daughter loves i-Carly, so that wasn't the problem. It is a cute bag. However, it simply has to do with the fact that a messenger bag is harder to tote around than a back pack for a little kid. So, before making the purchase of this messenger bag, stop at a local store and have your kid try one on and walk around with it to make sure their comfortable with the weight being on their side and not on their back.
