I bought this backpack for college. In the last few months, I've been using it every day for school. It's the perfect backpack for me. Personally, I love bags with lots of extra pockets for things like pens, tissues, ear-buds, and other school things. This one has a good amount of them.

The largest compartment will fit a 14", maybe 15", laptop along with some notebooks. But that would be about it. It isn't a very large compartment and there's no internal laptop sleeve. The smaller of the two big compartments has space for cards, a keyring clip,and other nicknack things you might need during a school day. The small compartment is a good size for your lunch, it'll hold a sandwich, a small bag of chips, and some small snack items easily. it's not insulated though.

The water bottle pocket is a bit small and shallow for my liking. However, it'll still hold a 16oz water bottle or Thermos fairly easily, the elastic is pretty strong.

The backpack is also super light but very durable. I can put my laptop in there and still be able to walk a fair distance. It's also good for trips for food shopping. There's enough space to fit a good amount of food in the biggest compartment. Best of all, it's pretty much waterproof. Walking home from school, I don't really have to worry about my laptop or materials getting wet. I wouldn't throw a bucket of water on it to test it though.

I bought this for my 7yo daughter for school. We both love this backpack. We bought the red and it is a great shade. The backpack appears to be very durable and of good quality. My daughter loves all the pockets. The backpack is a good size ie. it is big for a 7yo but not too big. Highly recommend this backpack.

Sesame Street Elmo Red Medium Backpack Bag Tote

I purchases this bag for my 2 year old son because he loves elmo. The bag was a bit bigger than I thought and it expands out once you put stuff in it so depending on what we have in it my son isn't able to carry it on his back all the time, but i figured he would just be able to grow into it so i wasn't going to bother sending it back for a smaller one.

We have used this as a everyday bag for him when he goes to daycare to carry his pullups, wipes, toys and snacks. It has been stuffed with clothes and shoes alsothe bag seems to be durable and my son loves it.

If your getting this for a toddler though you might want to get a smaller sized one as my son is 2 and most think he is either 3 or 4 already because of his height and the bag was a little too big for him.

We haven't used it yet but as an Elmo lover its good fot me. Its perfect size for my 4 year old preschooler. Elmo himself is very soft too which I didn't expect.

Hard to believe we have had this bag for a few months and my daughter just won't let it go. We use it for daycare and pack most of her day to day and weekly belongings and meals so it works out nicely. I would have liked a little more room though. At the end of the week we bring all of her belongings home and sometimes need a second bag to carry her stuff. Other than that, well made and solid little bag that does the job.

I love everything about this Baggallini daypack--the color (inside and out!), the style, the weight distribution. I purchased this daypack to take with me to Alaska this summer. This daypack holds my large sunglasses case, my camera, rain gear, and more. (I tested it this weekend, just to be sure!) The main compartment opens wide, and the back compartment is much roomier than it first appears. The adjustable shoulder straps are a blessing. I am looking forward to avoiding the inevitable shoulder pain caused by conventional handbags and shoulder bags after a day of sightseeing. The Bag is great colors and right size. But, it is made of a material that reminds me of Frogg Toggs. you know the slippers and stuff you get while staying in a hospital. not something for everyday use. it would shred in moments if it were to see the light of the nearest mall. I should expect that I got what I paid for but I have seen the better nylon taffeta bags with a similar price point. as a back up bag for shore gear, I think not so much. it is definitely a "cheap" bag in all senses of the word.

Eagle Creek Travel Gear Pack-It Wallaby

In general I like Eagle Creek stuff and own a lot of it. The basic idea of the Wallaby as a clam shell, hanging shaving kit (or the equivalent for women) is a good one. Hotel sinks seldom have enough space and whatever you put there invariably gets wet or falls off the narrow spaces around a pedistal sink. So a hanging kit is a good idea. But the designers of the Wallaby wanted to give you a small mirror too, perhaps for installing contact lenses or doing something when another mirror is not available. However a glass mirror would present a danger if broken, so they put this mirror on to a thick, non-breakable plastic plate, making it bulky. What's worse, the mirror is located in the exact same place as the clunky swivel "knuckle" on the plastic hanging hook, so the two conflict with one another. The swivel knuckle and thick mirror together, separated by one piece of nylon fabric, create a large, hard lump on one side of the Wallaby, which I didn't like. A swiveling knuckle is not necessary; a fabric or elastic attachment to the case would serve the same purpose and not conflict with the mirror. The plastic hanging hook should be flat. That simple design change would eliminate the problem. The other gripe I have is that the illustrations on Eagle Creek's webiste and on Amazon don't adequately show the inside of the Wallaby, the organization of the elastic pockets. The pockets configuration is more important than the outside appearance of the closed unit. The interior is a different color than the outside, so you can't tell from the product photo what the inside color is, because it's different for each exterior color. For the Rio Red, the interior is a particularly unappealing gray that doesn't contrast well with the contents, so as to aid in rapid identification of the contents you put there. Black or white or almost any other color designed to contrast or highlight the contents would be more helpful. More design thought to eliminating the conflict between the hanging hook and the mirror, and better selection of the interior color (at least so a customer would know what the color is before ordering it) would improve the product greatly. All the interior pockets don't need elastic tops. At least one compartment should have a see-through net and zippered top to contain small, loose objects like tweezers and whatnot. I returned mine, but I'd consider it again with some design modifications. The Wallaby is a good idea, but not yet ready for prime time.

I was looking for a large toiletry kit to replace on old one that is on its last legs. The size of the wallaby was stated to be 400 Cubic Inches. If only. I just went back to the website to find the actual dimmensions Capacity: 400 cu in / 6.5 L Weight: 13 x 7.5 x 3 in / 33 x 19 x 8 cm . I did the arithmetic. 13 * 7.5 * 3 is 292.5 cubic inches. I've had this for around 2 years; I bought it go on with me on safari in Kenya, where it came in extremely helpful, as it has the high-quality swivel hook, so you can hang it pretty much anywhere.

I should also add I love the red, and that it feels "safari"-y. Sorry, but there it is. : )

But as much as I've hated to admit it in the last 2 years, I've always just felt it needed something.

Specifically, more pockets and side-conatainers.

For example, if you use the top netted area for things that need to dry (toothbrush, soap container), you can't put band-aids in there. And obviously you can't put band-aids in the wet pocket, and after that there's no place for them to go. They just flop around in the middle compartment with all the other stuff. The little elastic-y pockets inside don't accomplish a whole lot.

It's just one example. This thing is basically a giant, super-light clamshell zip-pocket with two big containers and some elastic pouches that don't fit anything all that well. After that, to separate or sort anything you're out of luck.

So I've spent a lot of time looking at other models, and today got the Ricardo Beverly Hills Essentials Travel Organizer, which is doing a much better job at a cheaper price.

Sorry, Eagle Creek. I love you guys, but a hyper-organizer like me just needs a few more options!

The pack LOOKs well made and very light weight as expected. But during my first 10 hour hike, the band on the right shoulder strap that held the water pack nozzle broke at the seam. There wasn't enough material contact when they sew the seam. I'm likely to fix that minor issue myself, look more like a defect rather than the overall quality of the pack. Will update later...

I bought this bag a few months back. I have taken it everywhere with me. I carry all my essentials with me. Knife, gun, first aid kit, lighter, flashlight and other like typical emergency items. I take this back pack to work, on a road trip, hunting etc... The only downside is there is a slight tare starting in the seem. But easily reparable with a needle and thread. Other than that, its a nice carry around. I bought this for a junk pack to carry around that i wouldnt have to worry about getting dirty. My next purchase will be USA made with better quality. Dabbawalla Backpack

The back pack is very nice looking but the shoulder straps are not very good.

The shoulder strap are very badly design. The bag has 2 holes on each side of the bag, they are placed closer to the bottom of the bag to allow the straps loosely go through from inside of the bag.

This might be great in theory, but in practice when a child uses it, the bag moves from side to side and it makes the strap longer or shorter each time the bag move a little.( It is very uncomfortable for the child)

Also the 2 holes at the bottom of the bag are so big that if you happen to place a fork or spoon inside the bagDabbawalla Lunch Bag, Holy Cow, it will slip though the holes and when the child need to use it, it won't be there.

The product looks nice and I am happy that it is PVC free. However the product was stated to have dimensions of 14 x 14 x 6. Because of this I had expected it to be big enough to easily hold a standard 8 1/2" x 11" notebook even with the rounding that occurs at the top of most backpacks. I am very disappointed that a standard notebook barely fits and in some cases the backpack may cause the corners to bend. It might just be functional for its intended use as a backpack for pre-school and kindergarten.

On physical inspection, the interior measurements of the backpack without contorting it are 10"w x 11 1/2"w (at center) x 6". To get those 14" dimensions, I needed to flatten, stretch, or otherwise distort it well beyond its natural shape. Counting the top loop at its fullest extent is also useful to get that 14" height. Amazingly, the 6" depth appears to be accurate.

In terms of quality, the materials and sewing looks adequate. I can see how it would be possible for small objects to fall out through the small gaps where the back straps go through the bottom of the pack.

This bag is a great size for my (3T wearing) 2 year old. The length-adjustable straps are nice, and we added a carabiner clip across my son's chest to make sure the straps don't slide off of his shoulders when he has a full backpack. The soft neoprene is very comfortable for my son; it's not rigid at all. The backpack is roomy and the neoprene keeps fruit and snacks cool. I'm about to use this as his lunchbox this week with an ice pack and I expect it will work just fine.

We get stopped everywhere by people wanting to know where we got this backpack. It is much cuter in person than in the pictures and my son absolutely loves it. I couldn't be happier with the looks, the size or the usefulness. It's not cheap, but it keeps things cold, has plenty of room for toys and books, and is machine washable. What more can you ask for?

Only slight downfall if they could have added a smaller compartment for keys and cell phones for easier finding but that's okay I just use a smaller bag to place in one of the side pockets.

This is a great case overall, well-built and attractive to the eye. The only thing I was slightly disappointed with was the size. After obsessing for several weeks and trolling all appropriate websites to find a narrow, smallish, sling/backpack that would hold my T4i, 3 lenses, various accessories and MOST IMPORTANTLY, my SLIK 444 tripod, I decided to give this a try. The reviews were good save the few who said it was too small (a feature I was looking for). I'm taking a photography trip to South Dakota in the Fall and this is a very compact setup for me. Bought this for my son so he could carry school books in one part and other stuff in the outer portion. Thought he could zip off the one part and put it in his locker but it doesn't fit. The bigger issue though is that the weight inside the outer portion weighs it down and it drags. It wore a hold right through the bottom in the FIRST WEEK. Great idea went south. I regret taking a chance on such an expensive back to school purchase.

The backpack is really cute but after using for a couple of weeks only I noticed a few issues:

the colors run. I now own a pair of pants whose back turned red as a result of the rubbing off of the colors. The blue lining also runs (a book carried inside is now blue along the edges)

the back panel wasn't sewed all the way. The tear has gotten worse and you can now see the foam backing

two of the eyelets for the main drawstring have torn off already

Overall I would not recommended. I was expecting a much better product quality for that price

Timbuk2 The Shift Pannier Messenger Bag

I commute to and from work daily, and needed a bag to store my lunch, work clothes and purse. I'd tried using a backpack, but that was not ideal in the Georgia heat. I'd also tried traditional panniers (REI brand). While those were okay, my bike frame is a bit too small--I'm very short--and the pannier would drag on the chain. I did ride with one, but felt it awkward to carry around when off the bike, and it tended to bounce a bit over the potholes.

I am very pleased with this bag. The bungee on the bottom is an excellent feature--the bag does not bounce at all. It sits high enough that I can put it on either side of my rack, and I like that you can carry it like a normal bag. The waterproofing is excellent, as well. All in all, a perfect pannier.

As a messenger bag, it is quite stiff, but if you adjust it correctly it is comfortable to carry around. I've walked around with it one for hours and had no problems. You might want to get some sort of padding for the strap if you plan on carrying it extensively, but as I'm primarily carrying it from bike to work, from bike to party, its fine.

Thank you for a practical bag! Worth the money.

After a short-lived time with a DIY messenger bag system and then a full pannier system (see: Avenir Metro review) that could have seriously injured me, I think this is the one. I've only had it one day but I am absolutely in love with the way the pannier system works. It is much faster than a normal pannier system and the hooks have caused me no discomfort whatsoever thus far when I'm using it as a messenger bag.

This is my first Timbuk2 bag and I'm really seeing what all the hype is about. The attention to detail is great. I especially love the main shoulder strap and its ingenious "memory locking" system that lets me take it on and off comfortably with my helmet still on. My 15-inch Dell Studio doesn't even begin to fit in the designated laptop sleeve, but it fits just fine in the normal cargo area. A thin macbook would fit in the sleeve and now I know why all the hipsters here in the bay area have Timbuk2s.

The cargo area appears just large enough for me to use this as my goto bag for 95% of my commuting duties, including laptop + books + jacket and grocery shopping. The fact that you can use the velcro system and ignore the clips increases the usable storage capacity of this bag. One gallon of milk should be easy and while I haven't tried it, two gallons of milk might be doable.

Conclusion: a work of art. As long as the build quality holds up and nothing breaks, I would highly HIGHLY recommend this if you are looking for a pannier bag and are either 1) unfamiliar with pannier bags and are overwhelmed with the choices or 2) don't want a pannier bag because it makes your bike look ugly, but your back hurts from the laptop you HAVE to carry.

*Edit: So I've had this for awhile now and I still stick by my claim that this is THE pannier bag for me. I've had to take it in to a seamstress to have 10 inches of nylon removed to fit my slim size, and now it fits even better. I've begun to notice the metal latches jamming into my back if I load it up and wear it as a messenger bag, but I don't feel it's annoying enough to really bother me. Final conclusion: this was a great purchasing decision.

I've been searching for a bag like this for ages. Tons of searching online for a fairly stylish pannier bag to take to work, AND for it to have some protection from the elements, to be well-made, not cost a fortune and also be easy to carry around when not on the bike. Well after 2 weeks of using it, the Shift bag from Timbuk2 totally meets all my expectations.

Really good bag, very very comfortable to carry around when in messanger bag mode, the strap and strap adjustor are very comfortable.

The bag seems very durable and well-constructed. The inner lining should be great when it comes to rain (haven't experienced yet though), the pockets are solid.

The pannier clips are pretty solid. I kind of wish the bag could have had conventional pannier clips ("klickfix" style) just because they are a little more secure to the bike rack then these BUT the big trade-off is that these pannier hooks can easily be turned and velco strapped onto the back of the bag when not in use. Even the lower clip (to the base on the bike) can be hooked away a bit to it won't scratch you or snag clothing when not on the bike.

I deducted one point because I wish there could have been at least one small pocket on the exterior of the bag, in reality this is only worth a half-point deduction, so the bag is more of a 4.5*/5 for me.

After a year of researching the various Racktime, Knog, Ortlieb, etc etc "city" "commuter" style bags for something visually appealing, AND well-made I'm very glad with the choice of getting the Shift.

I absolutely loved the idea of a combo messenger/pannier bag, so when my previous panniers were finally giving up the ghost I picked one of these up.

They've put a lot of work into making this just right: the detachable shoulder strap, the flat front pockets, the waterproof lining, the nicely-placed reflective strips.

They clearly put thought into the pannier assembly too: there are velcro straps to cover up and secure the hooks for your bike rack. Unfortunately, I find the whole hook/velcro assembly still sticks out enough to rub uncomfortably when I use this as a messenger. In fact, it's bad enough that I've noticed some wear and tear on my clothes if I carry the messenger for any length of time. If I were redesigning this bag, I'd consider adding a larger padded flap to address the problem.

It's still a great bag if I'm not doing a lot of walking at my final destination or I have a second bag stashed there for walks (e.g. at work). You won't catch me biking to the state fair or out to a hiking trail, but I'm pretty happy with it as a commuter bag.

I've used this waterproof bag in the rain and sun for about a month and a half now. It's sturdy yet flexible, and has great velcro or clip in options for securing the cover. Excellent side flaps under the cover to make sure no water gets in when it's wet (great in my green city of Seattle). My favorite part is the ability to quickly undo the velcro on the backside and hook it onto my bike rack for quick, easy transportation. I've filled it very full and it hasn't made me lose balance on my bike to only have it on one side, and I'm a beginning rider. I haven't even noticed a difference in terms of one side being heavier because of the bag.

Fully recommend this product I'm thrilled!

Skip this backpack. Not only is it small, (which I knew about when I ordered it) but I received mine with a dark stain on the front of it. Also, this description is misleading. I looked the whole page over, and no where does it say that the photos are not identical to the items that they would be shipping out. The pink backpack that I received had no words on the front of it. These sellers should either change the photos of this item, or change the description. Either way, I'd say just don't buy it at all.

The bag doesn't have the RayBan or eBay logos and stuff... Just Saying haha. The bag is nice, and big enough. It does slip a lot around my left side which is how it is worn. From right shoulder to left rib-side. I use it as a biking bag which is why it slips when im sprinting and standing on the bike. It has enough room to carry keys, bike tool, bike tube(backup), and knife and other little things. The side pocket is really capable of holding anything because it stretches out a lot with any weight. The strap is thinner than it looks but it sturdy. The last thing i would complain about this is just that when u do carry multiple item they bunch up at the bottom. For anyone wondering the size it can hold one pair of size 10 nikes for the gym and that's about it. And some money or wallet in the front pocket. I would give it four stars for the price but theres a little too much to complain about.

It's a great little day bag! My son loves cows so he loved the print and the hood. It holds a change of clothes perfectly and a small toy or two! Great for grabbing and going! However, $40 is WAAAY too much to spend!!!!!!

I got the ladybug backpack for my petite, nearly 2 year old and it is just the right fit BUT with that said it doesn't hold more than a sippy cup, a snack and a pair of socks. Even though I was thrown off guard by it's size it didn't bother me too much just because it is so cute and she feels like a big girl wearing it. The leash is ridiculously short, so I ended up using my dog's leash on the bag in heavily populated area's where a speedy child can wander offlike the Exploratorium, the airport and the Academy of Arts. Based on the size of the pack it explains the size of the leash.

This bag is not practical for nursery school but better suited for a small lunch on the go or an outing in a heavily populated area.

Although this pack was much smaller than anticipated I have no regrets about purchasing it. I did end up buying another bag that is more practical but we do use both.

I bought this backpack for trips back and forth to Grandma's and Grandpa's. However, for some reason I did not notice the dimensions! So now we have a very cute backpack that my two year old daughter LOVES, (She puts everything in it!) but not very practical for things to keep her occupied on the long car trips to and from the houses! I was going to return it but my daughter likes it so much I decided to keep it.

The only thing that disappointed me about this bag was the material it is made out of (nylon) looked more like leather in the photo. However, my son loves his big boy back pack and I can fit a pack of wipes and two diapers in here along with a teether and a snack (albeit snugly). I also like the harness (aka leash) that comes with it and connects to the bag. The price is a bit steep but I am not disappointed in the quality and cuteness.

I purchased the turtle style bag from the same company for my 3 1/2 year old son for our trip to Disneyland. He picked it out because he likes turtles and enjoyed wearing it, including the turtle cap. It was awesome for a very very short while. However, two hours into our adventure, one strap came unnattached from the weak stitching at the bottom of the bag and he fell on the cement. I had no other option but to keep it on him, because I was afraid of him getting lost at the crowded park, but was forced to take it off when it started leaving a rash on his shoulder from being off center. Then I carried it around awkwardly for the rest of the day (not even on my back because obviously it wouldn't fit), because it had his pull-ups and some wipes in it, and by nighttime the other strap had broken off in the same place. It would have been perfect if those bottom straps were designed better or sewn in more securely. Don't buy this product or any of the other harnesses from the same company. I just hope that I can get my money back.

the bladder is well made, no leaks, has a sleeve covering the hose to keep it out of direct sunlight, i wish it had soe sort of cover for the mouth peace, so i made one for it, simple rubber hose cover for scuba diving i had in my spare gear, i used 40 lbs powerpro braided fishing line to sew it to the end of the sleeve next the the mouth peace with about a 3 inch leash. simple improvement that makes a world of difference for me, i was always setting my bag down in the dirt, sand, and many other places that made me think twice before taking a sip from my bladder. the bag itself is great, heady duty zippers and material, a chest and waist strap holds it in place, i can sprint with mine full of water and gear, with minimal bounce. it also has a zipper that can expand the largest pocket, and make it hold about twice as much it needed, or zip it away with the extra space is not needed for a tighter pack. iv recommended this to a few friends

I got this pack for my wife. We used it on our trip to San Fran. It's a great little pack and you can fit quit a bit in it. I would recommend this for anyone needing a small day pack or a small motorcycle pack.
