Not like the other backpacks with a cancer risk. I think it's the thalates in the plastic eyes and mouth, but this one is fabric embroidered eyes and mouth with faux fur. Perfect for a toddler in love with Dora. The only downfall is no map, but that may have contained thalates too. So I printed one from the nick site and laminated it. Problem solved
This backpack did not contain the warning the other backpacks contained on Amazon. It is made in China but I believe it is the materials that are the difference. I opened it and examined every label and tag but could not find a carcinogenic warning for any of the material in this backpack. This is a soft, stuffed animal type material. The straps are very sturdy and the stitching on back packs face is very well done.
