The pack is very comfortable, it hugs your shoulder and stay put with the clip-on whistle straps across the chest(Genius for SOS). The pack also has a stylish feature that looks great in any place. I use it day to day for work and store my laptop with plety of space for food and water. The quality of fabric and stitching is very excellent, a product not made it china. I have spent a lot of time (over a month) researching camera daypacks and from all that I gathered, this is the most complete camera daypack available. Unfortunately it still isn't perfect, but as you will see all over the internet, no camera bag is. To me it seems like camera bag manufacturers are trying to create both "pro" camera bags and walk around bags in the same bag, and it just isn't working. A walk around bag doesn't need to be super deep or hold an entire collection of lenses, and it would benefit from common "regular" backpack amenities such as extra pockets or even separate places to put pens. I'll break down all this bag has to offer and where it falls short as I see it.

-Look --

This bag looks great. Especially compared to the Lowepro Fastpacks (similarly designed) which just scream camera backpack to me. This bag looks like a somewhat average backpack. I'm 5'9" and when starting at the top of my neck it ends just above my waistline. It is a bit deep (9") for my liking, but I get the sense that most camera backpacks are these days.

-Comfort --

The bag is very comfortable when lightly packed. The more weight you add exponentially makes it less comfortable due to its size. The straps are padded nicely but once enough weight is added the hard edges of the straps begin to dig in and cause discomfort.

-Regular Compartments --

The laptop compartment will hold a 17" macbook pro (15.5" x 10.5") without having it protrude from the top as would be expected. Most 15.4" laptop PCs are about this same size so they should fit as well as long as they are not more than an inch thick. The laptop compartment has a lightly padded sleeve built in for the laptop as well as room outside the sleeve for other things (this will help keep spiral notebooks off your computer). There is also a small zippered pouch on the opposite side of the laptop sleeve which is relatively small but could possibly hold a power cords or extra accessories.

The front-top compartment has a couple little pockets, a large pocket, and a small zippered mesh pocket as well as a card holder. This area is great for small notebooks, or possibly an iPad mini, as well as zip drives and other knick knacks. There are no pen pockets but I just clipped mine onto the main pocket and it worked just as well.

In front of this compartment is a small felt lined pocket for valuables. It's not really big so I don't believe many sunglasses will fit but iPods, phones and other small valuables can be put here.

The rear-top compartment is the largest of the regular compartments. This one is very spacious and able to hold a couple sweaters or a few bottles of water and lunch. There are no extra pockets inside this one.

-Camera Compartment --

The camera compartment is okay, not great. It's pitfall is the dividers, the side opening, and the material used. The dividers are well built but poorly designed. They, along with the whole camera section, lack enough velcro to really customize the layout of your camera space. This would have been fixed if they just lined the entire inside with that felt material most other bag companies use instead of nylon. Also they are a little long, forcing the back of your camera to slightly protrude from the container. You could probably make your own dividers or find extras, which could help alleviate this problem, but for $200 I would expect more. The entire compartment is a pod that is (not easily) removable and built with hard plastic instead of padding for the walls. This makes the backpack unable to fold in and really hug your equipment to prevent it shifting around due to the compartment's depth. The whole thing seems pretty strong however and very protective, just not what I was hoping for.

Although I do not have a 70-200mm lens to test with, there seems to be enough room to fit one inside along with other smaller lenses or accessories.

The side entrance is nice but not the easiest to get into. There is an extra flap inside that was probably meant as extra protection, but seems to just get in the way. A gripped camera will not fit through the side entrance. This wouldn't bother me much except for the fact that they decided to make the camera compartment very deep (9 inches). If the side entrance wont fit a gripped camera then why make the compartment deep enough for one? I guess you could fit more lenses by turning them facing out, but since I am only looking for a daypack, I wouldn't be carrying my entire collection and this makes the backpack stick out a little far causing discomfort (explained under 'Comfort') while carrying it fully loaded. There are also small pockets on the inside of the main flap which are somewhat tight for filters or memory cards but should do the job.

-Extra Features --

The side opposite of the camera side-entrance has a hidden bottle holder zipped away. This is a really nice feature since most bottle holders (in my opinion) ruin the appearance of backpacks.

Beside the bottle holder is a very nice tripod system. There is a small zippered pocket above this that contains the strap to secure the tripod to the backpack. This is great for light tripods or monopods but anything heavier or larger greatly offsets the bag creating more discomfort. Luckily this is a snowboarding backpack so the 2 snowboard straps across the front of the backpack can also be used to carry the heavier tripods and avoid awkward weight distribution.

The backpack also comes with a deployable rain cover that is not attached. I like that it isn't so that you can stow it away easier or replace it if its damaged.

The waist strap is removable and comfortable. Although it is very stiff, once it's broken in and more pliable this becomes a great feature for the backpack. It also has a chest strap which is nice. The top snowboard strap and tripod strap are both able to be hidden.

Also as long as the camera compartment pod is inserted, the bag will stand up on it's own.

-Conclusion --

In the end I give it 3 stars because of its lack of customization, its discomfort even when not fully packed, and its unnecessarily deep camera compartment. This is not a bad backpack, nor is it poorly made. If you are still unsure if this is the pack for you I suggest you try it for yourself and then decide.

I use this pack for my DJ equipment, such as all my microphones, my laptop, and other smaller items. I even use the stand holder on the side for my portable microphone stand. I would buy this again if I lost it or something happened to it. Very high quality and comfortable.

This case is quite different than other netbook case. For one, the material is like a soft puffer jacket and it is well padded. There's a small compartment to hold the ac charger or other items(phone, flash drives, etc). Overall, I like it and of the 4 bags/case I purchased for my netbook, this is my favorite. I bought mine from an amazon marketplace seller for < $10. I loved it so much I bought 3 more to give out as gifts.

The title says it all. This pack is covered in MOLLE straps of good quality. I have my MOLLE shoutgun scabbard strapped to one side, and a MOLLE trench kit and machete on the other. In the center I hung a sustenance pouch and admin pouch without any issue. The small pocket at the bottom allows for the storage of your smaller gear (turkey calls, fire starter etc). The inside features two pouches one of which is setup for the insertion of a hydration bladder and the other for your clothes and boots, with a pocket divider for smaller clothing like socks and underwear.

A waist and chest strap are attached to the shoulder harness system along with several rings for attaching even more gear. This is a great pack especially for the money.

This appears to be a nice product but it was WAY too small for my dog. I purchased the medium size for my rottie healer (she's about 45 pounds) and this was sized more for a teacup chiwawa or something. Definitely wasn't going to work for me so I will be returing it. It seemed like it was decently made and the quality of the materiel was nice if you have a little puppy.

This harness appears much larger on line then it really is...I was unable to use it as it was way too small for my dog. :(

Dakine Corridor Pack

My primary use for this is as a school backpack for transporting my Dell XPS 17" laptop from class to class in college.

This was, above all, meant to be a backpack for your Laptop. It's a very high quality product, but not quite perfect. Somehow (I'm sort of unsure about this, but it seems to have happened from placing the backpack on top of my wet umbrella) my books got wet. No water in the laptop pouch. Not enough to damage them, but it's still a bit unsettling to see water on this inside of this supposedly water resistant pack. I should also note that only the outside is water resistant, the inside pouches are separated from some synthetic slightly felty material that doesn't seem to absorb water but would definitely be permeable.

Well there are two main pouches on this, both supposedly water resistant. The pouch for your laptop is right on the top, so your laptop drops in and is right against your backwhich can be slightly uncomfortable, however it is very secure. Your laptop is very safe, it's suspended in its pouch about an inch from the bottom of your backpack so it's protected from drops straight down, the front (if you have books or anything in it), and the back (this has a lot of padding)not particularly protected from falling on the top or the sides, in fact I'd consider it very vulnerable in these areas especially for a 17" laptop.

Due to the separation, if your pack is standing straight up, even if your water bottle were to burst your laptop would be safe as it doesn't actually touch the bottom of the pack.

This is probably more suited for >17" laptops, as my Dell XPS (with upgraded battery pack, sticks out about an inch from the back) barely fits. It's so tight that the seal on the upper zipper stretches open around the corners. I haven't taken it out in the rain with my laptop inside, so I'm not sure if it would leak or not with the seal stretched.

On the positive side there's plenty of room for books. I can easily fit 2-3 large textbooks + my notebooks in this, along with various other electronics and pens. The side pouches are not seemingly suited for water bottles or anything of that sort, so unless you want to put it inside the bag there's no convenient way to carry them.

All of the straps and whatnot can be detached in a few minutes, but are secure enough to keep the pack on you while horizontal (possibly climbing, as this pack is more designed for outdoors than school). Overall it's pretty comfy, the pouch for your books isn't very convenient though as you have to completely open it to get anything large out. It's a very slim pack, not bulgy at all. Has plenty of space and specific compartments for pens/cellphones/small chargers/ect. There doesn't seem to be any specific pouch for large headphones or a large laptop charging cable, so those end up taking the place of books.

There's probably something cheaper out there that does the same thing. I paid $120 for my black Dakine Corridor, it's nice but a bit on the expensive side. I believe the red ones are something like $40 less, which makes no sense to me.

I am hoping that I can get another one at the same price at the same location? I really hope so.

I needed a new bag for my laptop and other uni stuff, and after much searching, I settled on this one. It was a bit more than I was willing to spend, but it's worth it.

The pictures of the bag make it seem smaller than it actually is (I'll upload some of mine at some point), but it is quite roomy inside, especially the front pocket, which is deceptively large and takes up the bulk of the storage space in the bag.

The laptop compartment doesn't have a soft, fleece lined interior, but it does have a nice thick padding on the back side. It fits my Lenovo ThinkPad T530 in snugly, so if you have a 17" beast of a laptop it may not fit, contrary to what the specs state (then again, the T530 is thicker than the average laptop so this may contribute to this). The front pocket I imagined to be small, suitable for chucking in a tablet and maybe a couple of pens. You can certainly fit a tablet in there, but it might get a bit lost (my MOTOROLA XOOM Android Tablet (10.1-Inch, 32GB, Wi-Fi) certainly does), as well as a lot of other stuff... I've got a bag of lollies and small tub of potato chips in there for those extra long lectures when a snack is required, and have put a couple of extra bottles of drink in there as well. It can probably fit one or two textbooks as well. There's also a small pouch on the inside of the flap, which I use to store the power adaptor for my laptop, along with two pockets that would fit a phone or some kind of small portable music player (I have a Nokia Lumia 800 which just fits in them, so phones like the Lumia 900, Galaxy S III and so on won't fit owing to their width) and four slots for pens. There's a little pocket up the top for small things (a set of keys or something along those lines), and two side pockets for water bottles complete the package.

The shoulder straps are nice and easily adjustable I've adjusted them up while walking along and they stay put, which is always a bonus. They have a thick padding on them so they're nice and comfortable to wear for long periods of time as well. The back area as well has thick padding, which helps protect the laptop as well as provides a comfortable area for your back to be rest against.

The only thing I would really change about this backpack is the laptop compartment I'd love to have it padded with a fleecy lining. Although it has a nylon lining, the padded lining would probably be a bit more gentle on laptops, particularly those that might show up scratches easily (glossy and aluminium ones spring to mind easily). Worth a buy, especially if you do have a laptop and other "stuff" that you take to uni and etc. regularly.

I really like this pack. I travel frequently for work and it is nice to have a slim pack that also has a lot of room available. My only complaint would be the awkwardness of the front flap. It is reversed from what you typically see on a zippered backpack, which means you have to lift the flap up and over the pack to access the contents. This makes it less than convenient for accessing anything from the main compartment if it is under an airplane seat or other confined location; you can't simply unzip, reach in, and root around for something.

I bought this backpack to use as my son's daycare bag. When I recieved it, I was a little disappointed that seemed flimsy. I had intended to get it monogrammed, but when I saw the quality I decided not to bother. After a couple of months, the snap broke. Then, one of the straps tore off in the wash.

I think it is a really cute bag, but it is clearly not meant for everyday use.

My son loves planes and at 4 years old, he is always wanting to cart various toys around with him, so I thought this would be perfect for his needs. It's definitely cute, but it's smaller than you would think it would be. As a result, it's not a useful as I had expected it would be. Unless the toys are matchobx cars, this backpack isn't going to hold much....

This little bag is as cute as it can be. However, the quality is not good. The zipper for the little pocket broke within a week. I hate that I paid the extra money to have it monogrammed because it really is of poor quality.

Wenger Patriot Rolling Case - Black

Case is very well made, and includes a pull-out briefcase with its own handle. This case accomodates a 15.4 inch laptop, and the entire briefcase nests in the rolling case. If you remove the briefcase, that space becomes a holder for a 17" laptop. strong handles and an easy roller, with a large back pocket that opens at 90 degrees -perfect for a short business trip's worth of clothes.

Better quality than equivalent Targus products (which I previously used for my 17" laptop, until the pull handle failed after a couple of years).

Well built bag. As you'd expect from Wenger the construction, wheels, zippers are all solid. Sometimes the handle is a little tricky to extend or stow and over all it "feels" shakier than I would like but this is a common issue among these 4 stage extensions.

I like the layout. LOVE the front zip pocket and the file/flex drop down.

Note the size, particularly if you are looking at it for travel it won't fit into many of the small overhead compartments such as the CRJs. Also, If you put much into the included laptop back (like a laptop) it really bulges into the adjoining pockets both in front and back. (I don't use the back compartment for clothes, but rather books (which have to be offset as it is not tailored to fit dual 8x11 for instance).

That having been said, I *love* the bag when I am on site aka just going back and forth between the home/hotel and office. The included laptop back includes the dedicated mounting strap so it can easily ride on the main case as an add on piece eliminating any "under utilization" elements from trying to overload it. There are also no concerns with overhead in this situation.

Just don't try to over pack it and know you will be gate-checking it if space is any sort of an issue.

PS We got my wife the patriot. The layout is a little different, the "wonder" pocket that I love so much is moved to the front and it eliminates the back "extra" compartment. It isn't that much thinner and she is still having problems with it in some overheads. It also lacks the dedicated strap on the side so you end up using the handles of the case itself.

Purchased this for my husband to replace his worn out case. He liked the look and ability to put so much in it. His job requires that he fly commercial airlines often. The case does not fit under the seat in front and if he is on a commuter flight (smaller plane) it does not fit in the overhead either. If you don't need to fly, this bag is great. It is sturdy, looks professional and rolls smoothly.

The Wenger Patriot is, for me, the classic road warrior bag. It has plenty of geek appeal, with its many pockets that allow the anal retentive organizer separate and categorize its content. It is large enough to be my primary carry-on for day trips up to 2 or 3 days, and small enough to squeak by as a "personal item or brief case" on most flights other than those on excruciatingly small commuter planes. The frequent traveler will see this bag being rolled around by more other frequent travelers than almost any other bag and there is good reason. It is more bag for the price than almost any other. There have been many minor version changes over the years as the company has made minor changes. I'm on my second one after about 7 years. The old one is still usable, but the wheels got embarrassingly noisy as the bearings wore out from miles of duress. My new one has slightly less room in the back compartment due to thicker, presumably more durable or cheaper-to-make tubes on the pop-up handle the old one's handle was much thinner but never gave up on me despite the fact I put that bag through hell. This is indeed the "swiss army knife of travel bags." Unless you need much more expensive "status luggage" to satisfy an executive ego, you cannot go wrong with it. My old one has been my most reliable travel companion for years, outliving 3 laptops, 2 projectors, 3 cell phones, and so on. Even though I've replaced it, I won't throw it away. It will become my second bag on those trips where I need more capacity, because these are just the right size that you can stack them and get away with carrying two of them onto most planes.

Cute, love it just wish the bottom were pink rubber material too. That's the only thing I dislike about it. Gets dirty easy and the material seems to snag or get small knots on it. This is a very simple sleeve and does the job well. I use it for my Acer Extensa 4420, a 14.1" notebook with the dimensions 13.2" x 9.8" x 1.62", but the slip is stretchy so you can probably fit something with slightly different dimensions in there. My main reason for using it is to pad the laptop while it's in my messenger bag.

The flap slides under a strap on the front of the sleeve, and you can kind of grab the strap if you need to carry it, but the flap doesn't secure itself to anything and could slide open if you're not careful. The only complaint I have is that it had a strong smell gassing off of the material when I opened it, guess that's what neoprene normally does? Anyway the odor is gone now. Note that there is no pocket so you have to carry accessories elsewhere.

This was perfect. It fits like a glove. However it doesn't have extra padding. Considering how cheap it was, it's a great product

What a great case! It had a very strong neoprene odor when it first arrived, but I did what someone else suggested and washed it with soap and water. It didn't lose the smell immediately, but it was way less powerful. After about a month the smell is still just barely there. It isn't anything that bothers me, but it could bother some people. Also, take into consideration that pretty much any neoprene sleeve will have that smell.

It holds the laptop great and looks very stylish.

While it will protect your laptop from scratches, it did not protect mine from getting backed over by a car :(

I am very happy with this purchase. It has plenty of space for my laptop and a dozen or more files plus phone, pen, planner, folio... it is a very practical bag. I only wish it had a handle on top.

This item is the 15" model first of all. That's not clear from the title but the size listed in the specifications is correct. The size is nice for me. It fits a 15" macbook and is not bulky at all. I bought the navy because it was significantly less expensive than the grey which I would have preferred. The color is darker than the picture of the blue displays on my monitor which is exactly what I was hoping for. It's a nice color blue so if you think you'd like a blue bag it's a classy blue not a garish one in my opinion. The laptop compartment is nice. It has a velcro strap across the top and the padding isn't too thick so you have room for some other things in the bag. The main compartment of the bag is not large and the bag does not have any stretch to it so don't expect to carry anything more than a the size of say a stack of large footprint magazines plus the computer. The few pockets the bag has are on the outside of the bag and they are sewn tight to the bag. This means there isn't a ton of room in them. You can use them for some pens and your iPhone cable. Also since they are not covered if you invert the bag things will fall out of them and since they are on the outside of the bag they will fall out of the bag not just into the main compartment. The flap that goes over the top is mostly decorative. It has only a single buckle closure and no velcro at all.

All in all this bag was pretty much what I expected and I'm happy with it. The quality is great. It's a simple bag and it looks good.

I do have one small grip, and it's the fact that the main zippered pocket is just that... a big zippered pocket... it makes it hard to oranize all your smaller crap. I kind of knew that going into it, and it wasn't a deal breaker, but keep this in mind, just in case you're looking for a bag with lots of smaller pockets. This bag also does have a few small sleeve style pockets on the front side to hold your pens, phone, ID, but that's about it! It's a basic no frills bag!

My son got this backpack as a gift for his first birthday. He is now 4-years old and we have used it every week for the last 3 years. It's excellent quality, the fabric is still in great condition. Yes it's true the color does fade a bit but I think that's very normal of fabric material in general. My son LOVES his backpack especially since he has his name embroidered on it. Having his name on it helped him to learn the letters in his name! I am now looking to order one for my second child who also loves his big brother's backpack ;)

This backpack is perfect for my 2yr boy twins.. It was the perfect size for them. It is great size to pack for 2 blankies and stuff toy and snAck pack for their preschool.. I would recommend this to all my friends.. We also got alot of compliments..

The straps have only two button holes, you can't make the straps smaller for a small kid.

Also the size of the backpack has no proportion. It is more wide than long.

We love our stephen Joseph back pack we bought for our 20 month old son. it is big enough to hold his cloth diapers change of clothes, water bottle and snacks on days out. We plan on using it for travel purposes to keep his toys and items for the car and I think it will be perfect.,

The only downfall I have is the day we received it, I went to adjust the straps to a smaller size for my son and one of the buttons fell right off. But it was an easy fix.
