I currently own a ASUS G73JW-XA1 17.3-Inch Gaming Laptop Black (Republic of Gamers) and was looking for a backpack to protect and transport it, and bought the slappa spyder, which was very surprised with the quality of components, really nice job slappa did, the lining inside is cloth with good support for the laptop, its not a huge backpack like Targus XXL, but it can fit a 17'' fine, i even carried 2 laptops in one trip, and some accessories, the only downside but im not taking any stars is that my laptop is more like 18'' so its fits tight, i like it because its more secure, but the flap no longer closes, this might or not be an issue for you, but overall this backpack is really nice, probably the best craftsmanship i seen in a while in bags.

For 100 dollars I was severly disappointed to find random sewing string hanging all over the backpack, as well as the sewing itself going off its intended path, making erratic stitching that is very noticable. Unfortunetly, as I am stationed at a military base and am leaving on xmas bloc leave (why I purchased it in the first place), I have to use it anyway and not return it.

Very frustrated that I spent 100 dollars on a supposedly high quality backpack. Very inconvenient

I recently bought this item and got to use it for a trip. I found it rolled well, converted easily to a backpack, had a great side storage for my laptop and plenty of space for accessories. The only thing I would add would be inside pockets in the main storage area and to make the flap that pulls down to cover the wheels and allows you to use the straps for a backpack the same color as the outside of the backpack. It uses the inside color (orange on my black version) and I would have preferred it to keep with the black theme. The construction seems very sturdy and I am hoping to use this for all my travel in the future.

Unlike other Heys suitcases, this is very well built. Have used it for at least a dozen overseas trips, and still looks great. Useful as a carry on and having wheels and extendable handle is a great design. The main compartment is just one large cavity. Only organization is in the outer pocket. I use the sidepocket for my iPad. Mesh pockets on either side is good for water bottles and snacks. Mine came with a media iPod case also. I would add an airflow director on the backpanel to avoid a sweaty back. Also a waterproof cover would be nice.

If you are looking for a school or overnight backpack, this is NOT the one for you. The bag itself is comfortable to wear. The material is good quality and the added pockets are really nice. However, there is not a whole lot of room (as mentioned by others). I use this for a gym bag an find it holds my items needed (shoes, water, towel and a few other misc) perfectly. Would highly recommend.

The bag is very good quality. I had planned on using as a computer bag,i would perfer a little more room. But great diaper or overnight bag. Love that you can change the sling strap to either side of the body.

I have Cystic Fibrosis and I use this backpack to carry around my meds and other things I need. I is comfortable and lightweight. Only downside is that it doesnt fit a full sized laptop.

This bag feels well made, especially considering the price. The cellphone pocket is conveniently placed, and the bag sits comfortably on my back. We loaded it up (relative to it's size) for a 14 mile bike ride and it worked very well. It doesn't have any sort of mesh netting on the back of the bag, so your back will probably get pretty sweaty after a while.

I use this bag when riding my unicycle, its not too big and cumbersome and holds enough for what I need on rides. The cell phone pocket on the front is large enough to hold a Droid Razr Maxx in an otter box case. It's strap is not super thickly padded and is still comfortable to wear for prolonged times. The mesh pocket on the side holds standard sized water bottles and the headphone pocket is placed to easily wear your earbuds.

The two main compartments are not that large though and will conflict with each other if you try to put a lot in the backpack. So if you plan on carrying many items(about 4+ textbooks or notebooks) at one time I would look for something a bit larger.

As far as what I use it for, I would say its an excellent bag for outdoor activities. For the price I would say this an excellent buy. Waiting to see how it holds up in the long run.

I have an HP 15.6" G60 series laptop (14.88" X 9.9") and when I took this sleeve out of the package I thought, "No way is this going to fit". Well, this is one stretchy bugger. Fits like a glove! No zippers, no velcro, nothing scratchy, works perfect! Good padding, complete protection, and I love the flap versus a zipper.

I just received this sleeve and was a little worried that it wouldn't fit my Dell Inspiron 1545 but my fears were for naught. This sleeve fits my 1545 perfectly. It has a lot of stretch in it and it fits like a glove. I guess the Inspiron 1545 has a 15.4" screen. Never could figure that out for sure but the actual dimensions of my laptop are 9 7/8" deep, 14 7/8" wide and 1 3/4" thick. With the laptop in the sleeve it fits perfectly into my Ebags Firewall laptop case. It will be great for going through airport security. I am a very happy camper. I am going to buy another one of these sleeves for my wife.

I have just purchased an Acer/Emachine E725-4520 laptop and while I don't plan on moving it around too much I did want something to protect it from dings or scratches between uses. I saw this sleeve and read the reviews and thought it might be just what I was looking for.

I especially liked the reviews that gave exact sizes of the laptops being used because it is hard to tell if something will fit by just being given the screen size. As an example; my laptop is listed as a 15.6" screen and this sleeve is listed for 15" to 15.4" screen. A small difference to be sure but depending on the screen configuration, wide screen, etc., this can make a difference. My laptop measures exactly 14 5/8" x 9 3/4" x 1 5/8" and this sleeve fits it perfectly. The top of the machine comes just flush with the top of the sleeve (9 3/4") so when closing the flap it is completely covered. The specs on this sleeve indicate it is 12" high; it is not, it is 10". There is a lot of stretch in the material and for me little of it was needed. All that happened when I inserted the machine was for the wrinkles to disappear from the material. I would say that if your machine is a bit bigger in width (height over 10" may leave some of your machine above the sleeve but it would, for the most part, be protected by the flap.) there is more than adequate give to accomodate it.

The only feature of this sleeve that gave me pause was the large flap. To properly secure the flap a belt like feature is attached to the sleeve that the flap is drawn through. (Not clearly visible in the photos provided for this item) It actually resembles a portfolio type of arrangement and is not unattractive. I originally felt that it was just another step needed in securing the laptop that I didn't, necessarily, want to be bothered with. Upon further reflection I find that this is probably not a big deal and on a positive note, the flap is long enough, when closed, to almost cover the entire side of the sleeve with an additional layer of protection. So, on one side of your machine the flap provides double protection.

For the modest price of less than $10 I don't think you can ask for any more from a neoprene sleeve. The materials and workmanship seem quite good. Go for it.

I bought this case because I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a sleeve for my laptop. When I received it I was pretty impressed and thought it would last a long time. After using fairly often for about six months, the seams have started to rip. Everything else appears to be holding up pretty well. Decent product, but bad sewing/stitching.

I purchased this backpack for my 3 year old Son, for Christmas. He loves it! It's the perfect size for my little guy. The straps are fully adjustable. The pack holds enough for whatever he wants to put in it, (trains) and some extra's I want to put in there, (snack and drink). The zipper tags could be a little more child friendly, perhaps bigger or with some soft/tactile rubber on the edges to help the little one's grasp better. I found the image to be a little disconcerting but, it's fun and it makes my kiddo happy and he loves to use it.

I've gone through a lot of photography bags, many from lowepro Lowe was my first true hiking backpack from way back and I've liked their products for years. I've always looked for something that would allow me to go hiking for more than just a day trip but it seemed like the backpack aspect of photo bags takes a back seat to integrating the 'walls' that hold the photo gear. There is never a good waist belt system, etc. This little guy really did the job for me on a recent two week trip to patagonia where I was day hiking 10-12 miles a day in variable weather.

Some nice things:

waist belt outperforms other bags great adjustment straps, good cushioning

weather cover is great for a quick rainstorm did not try days and days hiking with it but it easily fit a full pack

accessible pockets without opening the bag back pouch holds food, light clothing. top pouch can be reached while hiking and holds a surprising amount. two belt pouches are something you don't see on other bags

storage for a small tripod is rock solid and offset by the water pouch on the opposite side of the bag for good weight balance.

inner photo gear box is too big for just a camera with a single lens (how I hike) so I ended up storing other stuff in it (first aid kit, space blanket, etc) that usually ends up rolling around my pack.

straps on the bottom were fine for a sleeping pad

arches away from your back to keep sweat down to a minimum contact points limit to the hips and shoulders. I'm telling you, this is a real pack.

my negative experience in two weeks was that the clips that hold the elastic for the trekking poles broke poor build quality there. Hard to describe, basically I can't carry trekking poles any more. I rarely use them anyway so it's no big deal for me but be careful with that mechanism

I combined with with the cotton carrier strap shot which was a great combination. the d-ring of the rover pro worked great. I reviewed that product as well if you want to check it out. Turned this rig into the ultimate photo day pack for me.

Another recommendation would be to get a packing cube for your other small items. The camera box is big but you have room to the sides so things slip down in there and it's tough to find. Solved for me with a packing cube (sun screen, flash light/head lamp, water purifier that kind of thing).

Perfect carry-on size for airplanes I was in many different sizes. Thought about the 45L version and I'm glad I stuck with the small version. For a multi-day backcountry trip I would go 45L for sure.

I've been searching for a minimal, stylish backpack, and I could not be more satisfied. As I had hoped, this pack is extremely thin. When empty, the loose canvas material can flatten down to almost nothing, and with a laptop and sketchpad in there it is just 2 or 3 inches thick. The material is as nice as it appears in photos, and while it sometimes looks bright white online, it is really more of a powdery grey as the name suggests. The laptop pocket is not furry as it is in some other incase backpacks, but it is padded and gets the job done. The large pocket on the bottom of the front of the case is perfect for fitting my Macbook's charger to keep it out of the way, the small pocket on the front if perfect for quick storage of a phone, iPod, or wallet.

The case can fit up to a 15" laptop, but I have a 13" and kind of wish that incase would sell a smaller version of the backpack so it would be even more portable.

It's a great bag, it's lavable, as it's cotton. inside is soft and it's great for my MBP 15", actually can fit probably a 17 too as there is plenty of space, i once put 2 macs inside the computer compartment, there is also a smaller compartment that i use to put my iPad.

then the bag has a huge space for cables, drives, etc. it's just nice for me that i travel a lot, the front-right is a small container, i use to keep my passport, as it's just big enough, else could be used to keep the recharger.

The bag itself doesn't look big, but actually it's amazing what you can fit in.

the only bad point is that it's softbag, so when you open it, the front tends to fall in front and if you have lot of things in, it gets messy.

my 5 yr-old was instantly in-love with this bag which unfortunately lasted exactly 2 days. The adjustable straps drag on the ground even when adjusted in every possible way. I tried tucking them in the back there is a fabric piece that holds the handle in place but they did not stay put and by the second day of school one of the adjustable parts of the straps was somehow dragged and rolled over and virtually torn as if the wheel severed it??!

I bought this backpack for my granddaughter and she loves it. It was replacing a Dora the Explorer backpack where the zipper broke. I ordered this item & it was sent to her and the second day the zipper broke on this Hello Kitty Backpack. She is 2 1/2 years old and loves the backpack, but it has been sent back. So my granddaughter doesn't have a backpack right now. I am getting ready to reorder the backpack now, and I hope it will not break again. I don't know for sure if this is the exact same backpack, due to the backpacks that are very similar, and only a couple in the small size.

I got this bag on January 5th 2012. It's now March 7th 2012 and the top handle has detached and a zipper toggle has fallen off. Another toggle seems close behind. For $200 bucks it's simply not acceptable. The design is well thought out but they got cute on the zipper toggles (just plastic bits attached with adhesive to metal that pull off when you tug hard) and the top handle gave way with only a medium sized load on board. I would not recommend under any circumstances. Terrible build quality. Hoping Semson's let's me return it.

I'm really happy with this backpack. I received it a few days ago and I like the quality of this backpack. It has lots of pockets to put all my books and equipment for my computer and school work. I don't use a laptop but I do carry lots of cables and audio equipment with me. I got mine in a nice navy blue color and the quality of the stitching on mine is good. I've read review on another site that state there's a quality control issue with some of their backpacks, but mine is good and if there's any issues I'll post an update. The zippers are functional and dont feel bad at all. The smaller pouches on the back have pockets on them and inside of them, while the main compartment and the side pouch are, each, only a single compartment. The straps and area that covers your back is padded and feels decent. Very good and large backpack for what it cost. Just be sure, as with any product, to check the quality of the one you get. No problems so far.

Overall, for $25 you can't beat this backpack and I love mine. Lets me get my work done and carry everything I need for my daily tasks. I'm glad I purchased this backpack cause the prices other brands want are ridiculous. I'm very satisfied.

My daughter needed a large backpack since she has to carry so many books home. This bag is large but without a lot of extra weight. Plus, lots of pockets!

It is a nice backpack, not overpriced, but the synthetic fabric it is made of in both body and handles feels like sandpaper. Not recommended for use when wearing bare shoulder clothing. I expected a nicer material.

The pack I received was not the "Camping" Extreme Pak (pictured), but instead was the "Heavy Duty" Extreme Pak (has the fish-net pocket on the back). I was looking for a small camo pack to store my gear when in the field, hunting coyotes. Although the "H.D." is bigger than I wanted, it's still useable, and not worth the hassle, or the expense, to send it back. That said, the "Heavy Duty" model is well made; the zippers function just fine, and there are beaucoup pockets. A plus is that the waist belt is padded (as are the shoulder straps). The "Heavy Duty" would serve well as a day-hike pack, but it's a bit light for overnight use. A great value for the money.

I purchased this a gift for my son-in-law. It arrived very quickly and seems well made. He says the size and compartments are exactly what he needs for a day of hunting. The padded shoulder straps are a plus.

First off I want to mention that the backpack you receive is NOT the one pictured.

Description:

The one you receive has a removable fanny pack on the bottom that zips to the base of the back pack. I found it handy for storing fishing line and other odds and ends that I don't need to use frequently. Plenty of pockets, two on either side of the main compartment that run its length, two front pockets and with a mesh pocket on top. The "fanny" pack when unzipped from the pack has a top zipper for the main pocket and then two small pockets on either side with another pocket on the front.

Impression:

The quality of the pack is what you should expect for the money, the fabric is of good quality but the stiching sux, I have had to re-stitch the main zipper back on in a few spots. The padding on the arm straps is minimal as well as the padding on the waist/fanny pack straps. I would not recamend this pack pack to anyone looking to carry heavy objects, such as a student and their books.

My Use:

I got this for fishing from the bank so I could carry all my gear with me and have both hands free. I also wanted something that I didn't worry about taking abuse. So far it is perfect for the job. All the zippered pockets are being used and even when it's full it's not to heavy or bulky feeling.

My family and I are putting together bugout bags for each car. I love the material heavy and thick and I really like that you can separate the bottom from the top. It's also deep with a lot of pockets for your supplies. I Will be ordering more YOU CAN'T BE THE PRICE, looked at other stores and online want double and triple the price. And the other companies product didn't have as many pockets and no separation. I will be ordering more.

Its a good size for the price. Obviously it isn't of the highest quality. The zipper broke pretty easy, but there were two zippers so I just used the other one. It had a ton of compartments so that was cool. Its pretty big too. I like it.

The waste strap was way up on my ribs --seems to be made in China for Chinese physiques. Also did not have much in the way of compartments. We brought this day pack and a Patagonia day pack on a recent trip to the Galapagos. The Patagonia was way superior.
