Jeep 3-In-1 Backpack Harness
I found this backpack harness and thought it was a good idea. I didn't want anything that looked too much like a leash and the backpack compartment is roomy enough for wet wipes and 3 or 4 diapers, the smaller zipper is large enough to hold several smallish (pacifier size) containers. Not only can I be a bit more hands-free, but I also don't need to carry around a large diaper bag. My daughter really likes wearing the backpack, though she isn't too keen on the strap to keep her nearby. My only complaint is the strap's position isn't optimal. It pulls the backpack up and can wrap around my daughter. I'm hoping that with more use, she will learn not to pull away and not put any tension on the strap that creates this problem.
Now my daughter has inherited both the Monkey and the Jeep backpack. We took the leash of the backpack so she can use itand she loves it. (Thus the 2nd star.) We use the monkey when we need a harness.
Oh, and the strap that holds the leash on was almost pulled off when we got itand I know my friend barely used it. So even if I did want the leash, it wasn't going to last anyway. I strongly recommend a different harness product.

I bought this backpack harness for a trip I took to Florida (from Washington State) with my 2 year old. Our departure and returning flights BOTH had a 3 hour layover and this harness really helped! She got to walk around and burn off some energy between flights while giving me piece of mind because I knew where she was at all times! I got so many compliments from "grandmotherly" women telling me what a smart mom I was for purchasing this. And I remember seeing other children running wild and thanking myself for buying the harness because it made our trip much more enjoyable. Also, it stores a good bit of things. This has been a life saver. My son recently went on his first plane ride and this was great for the airport while waiting for our flight. My son got to walk around and stretch his legs before and after sitting on a long flight but provided the safety of keeping him close and controlled. He really didnt mind it much which was great and was perfect size for holding his snacks and sippy cup for the plane ride. I bought this for $60 at a local surplus store. I intend to use it for camping and hiking and I think that it was a good choice.Until recently I had been using an ancient European Style Rucksack Backpack Heavyweight Canvas Bag that has done yeoman's duty for years. I wanted something with molle attachments that would be a bit more comfortable on long hikes. I haven't taken this Fox bag on a serious outing yet, but I have loaded it up and worn it around, and can say that it is much more comfortable. The chest strap and belt distribute the weight very well, and there's good padding on the back side of the pack.
The organizational options of the bag are also very good. There are four molle fields on the pack itself, and attachments all along the padded belt. There are six compartments, including the main one, most of which have a variety of pouches and dividers. See my customer images if you'd like more details on those.
I will report back when I have a chance to really abuse this pack this summer, but it seems to be pretty solid, and a good option at the $60 price point. Provided that nothing breaks when I catch it on a branch or roll it down a hill, I'm happy with it.

Update: 3/25/13
At this point, I've logged a lot of hours hiking around with this pack, with about a 30-pound load in it most of the time, and there have been no failures whatsoever. The zippers all still zip, no seams have burst, and all the straps and buckles are still functioning well.
The main straps do gradually work themselves loose on occasion, causing the pack to ride too low on the back, but usually I can just cinch them up a bit as I'm walking and I'm good to go. The chest strap has turned out to be more helpful than I'd originally thought it would be. The quick release buckles on the main straps make it easy to take the pack off when it's on tight.
I'm still quite pleased with the purchase. It's a good bag for the money.

It's a little larger than I was looking for since I use it for carrying my stuff while commuting back and forth to work, but not so much as to be an issue. I was going to get black, but for some reason it was $20 more at the time, so I got tan instead. This is fine except it's more likely to show dirt. The pack is well-made and rugged with a nice handle. I carry a water bottle in it now, but since it's designed to accept a hydration bladder, I think I'll add one soon. Also has a small pocket at the top which is perfect for my smartphone. The pocket has access to the small slit for the bladder tube, so it's easy to thread earbuds. Well made great size for a change of bike clothes or heading to the gym. It does not have a form piece in the bottom so it can be a little squishy to pack but other than that it does what it needs to.

Bought this backpack as a overnight bag for business trips. I found I needed a change of clothes and my laptop and business gear and this bag fits the bill nicely. As will most Ogio bags, there are plenty of pockets and compartments for gear. The plastic bottom and wheels are smooth rolling and can take the bumps and bangs. The handle extends easily and is comfortable. I must admit, I don't wear it on my shoulders much but the straps hide away when you don't need them. I bought this backpack because my son's other Batman backpack bit the dust. This backpack is bigger than I expected. The previous backpack I purchased at Walmart for about $15-$20 and it was smaller. In this backpack, I am able to fit his lunch, shoes, snow pants, and a book. It also offers outer pockets for additional items, like his hat, gloves, notes to teacher, etc. Now if this backpack lasts more than a year, which seems to be the going rate for backpacks, I'll give this five stars. I love this bag so much! It fits well into overhead bins and it really fits a lot of things. I packed a weeks worth of clothing into this thing and I could have put more. It has handles on top and the side an it rolls which makes it easy to grab, move, roll, pick up, and zip up. The only thing I wish it had was a mesh zip on the inside to keep everything in just in case the top came unzipped. Some bigger Dakine bags have this feature I just wish they had it in this bag. Otherwise it is a great bag, traveled well and its really cute and easy to spot.

I bought this for my son for an upcoming Disney trip. We go to Disney regularly and it is my theory that my kids should carry their own stuff. I wanted something that would keep his belongings safe and secure, easy to use, and would hold up to abuse. I was not disappointed.What it held was an iphone, a Hidden Mickey book, a pocket Disney trivia/scavenger hunt book, his ipod, sunglasses, an autograph book, a large pen, two large mini M&M tubes, his wallet, his lanyard, a bag full of trader pins, and some snacks with room to spare. It holds A LOT! He also used a clip to attach a water bottle to the outside. He had no problems carrying it (no aches or pains) and said it was quite comfortable. He wore it as sling bag (how other sites show: this bag is meant to be worn either as a sling bag OR can be used as a waist pack/fanny pack)
He had no problems unlatching or latching the security clips, but someone else would not be able to do so without your noticing.
My son is 11 and is 4'11" tall and very thin. This bag fit him well now and has plenty of room to grow nicely with him. He has continued to use it since that trip on other day outings/trips. The bag gets tossed around a lot, but still looks brand new. This was well worth every penny and I plan on buying more for my younger kids.
It was very easy to access the contents in the bag a lot more than a small backpack, probably as easy as a side pack. The advantage over the side pack is that it doesn't swing at your hips and thighs when you are on a bike something we did a lot of in Vietnam. It was compact, balanced and close to my body, and when worn across my chest, it was easy to access things while moving on the bike. It was great on day hikes because it doesn't bounce like a backpack when running downhill. I could not use it as a fanny pack because I couldn't get the straps to tighten up enough around my waist; so, it was used across the chest or across the back. The safety latches on the zippers were good for when I wore it across the back.
Security-wise, it was great while walking through the crowded cities, sitting down at restaurants/cafes (latched to my chair) and squatting at food stalls on the street. Worn across the back with the zippers latched, I comfortably sat on low stools, stooped over and slurped the noodles out of hot soup without having to take the bag off. While traveling on overnight trains and buses, I was able to loop the strap around an armrest or bar close to me and knew that anyone trying to quickly unlatch it would have a harder time doing it because the strap buckle was not the standard type that you can undo with just one hand. Most people would not know the extra pressure point on the buckle required to undo it. It was great to know that even if someone stole my main backpack, all my essentials were in this small, secure pack that I felt was virtually difficult to get separated from if I practiced common sense and basic due diligence. I didn't worry about my main backpack. It only had dirty laundry and toiletries in it all very easy to replace and nothing valuable.

I used this bag a few weeks ago on a trip to Europe. I was concerned at first because the bag is a bit stiff and I worried about the bulky feel of it. Happily, my fears were unfounded. It was the perfect size to get the job done and not be too large to have on me all day long. we used this all over Italy. I used the Pacsafe camera strap (slashproof) and would stuff my camera (micro 4/3rds) into this bag when not shooting photos. Very easy to carry and switch from front to back. When in crowds, I wore it in front, and other times, I could feel good about having to the side under one arm near the hip. On working days, I normally drive to train station thru the highway with toll, then take the crowded train to office and later on the way back from office, I always stop for about an hour at the hill near one of the train stations for hiking. My previous bag is good but it swings if I run instead of just walking/hiking.Venturesafe 150 is very handy. I don't have to take it off my body while driving (easy to get my prepaid card for highway toll). Now, I don't worry that much inside the crowded train. And it doesn't swing when I run.
Two problems though:
My water bottle is too large (I am aware before buying and I changed it to Nalgene 0.35L plastic flask)
My Galaxy Tab 10.1 (I changed it to Galaxy Tab 7.7)
Typical contents of my Venturesafe 150:
Cards for highway, train and office (top front pocket)
Tissues, small currency and coins (bottom front pocket)
Galaxy Tab 7.7 (main pouch)
Nalgene 0.35L flask (main pouch I make sure the cap is properly tightened, no leak so far)

Wallet & handphone (at the back pouch)
There is a small space left enough for a shirt (of fine material thick cotton shirt may be difficult to fit in this remaining space inside the pack).
I bought 2 units because I knew I need to change it once in a while due to hiking. However, when I put all the above items, the pack seems to be too bulky for my taste. So, I cut short of both of the male end of the straps (the strap with male connector) and combine the 2 packs into one (i.e. the male connector of one pack goes into female connector of another pack, vice versa so you will have 2 Venturesafe 150 in the shape of detachable ring). I like the idea now that my Tab and flask are at separate pack and they kind of balancing each others weight on my shoulder. Normally my Tab, cards & wallet are inside pack at the chest side and flask and other non-fragile items are inside the pack at my back. And I have used this modified version for more than a week.

I was really impressed with this bag when it showed up. I gave it 5 stars because now that I have it, I wouldn't want any other bag!The canvas that it's made out of is super thick and durable. All the seams seem to be stitched rather well. There are a ton of pockets on this thing too. There is a zipper pocket on top of the flap (and the pocket is as big as the flap), you open the flap and you have two large pockets on the front with flaps that snap, those two pockets are attached to a large pocket which is attached to the main compartment, and then another large pocket on the back of the bag. Bonus is that it even came with it's own ruler!
I bought the bag to keep my knitting projects & supplies handy, but I could easily use this for my laptop, or school (if I was in school), or even an overnight bag. I'd buy another if I needed one!
We purchased this Rothco bag in black, model # 8118. A single buckle over each front pocket holds a velcro strip in place, which secures the bag closed. It is not the same canvas weight nor craftsmanship as the original Danish bag, but is a good value for the purchase price. It is a nice looking bag and has all the amenities of the Danish bag (shoulder strap, top handle, zip around expandable sides and bottom, loads of inside pockets, top zipper pocket and a ruler inside an interior slip pocket a dual purpose item which is also used to keep the top flat and in shape. The only fault found was that the shoulder strap could be a bit longer.
If you're looking for an all purpose canvas messenger bag to use in lieu of a briefcase, I (we) would recommend this bag by Rothco.

My little guy is a big Elmo fan.He is using this backpack for his school (P-K), it is perfect for P-K, K or first graders. I don't think it could handle to be carrying a lot of books or stuff every single day.
But it works great for a little kid. What I don't like it is the lunch box, it only have one zipper, I prefer a double zipper lunch box it could make my life easier.

I paid more than I should have for this bag, buying it at full price from Sport Authority for $65. It IS worth $35.00. I've used it for about a year, I play twice a week and I also used it as a carry on a few times. 3 zippers broke, the seem from the the zipper has split in a few places and one of the interior pockets blew out. I researched many Bat-Packs before deciding on this one.It is a nice size with plenty of room for your gear. Holds 2 bats, 2 gloves, cleats, windbreaker, drinks and still has room for more. Several pockets and makes a cool pack for school as well.
Purchased this as a surprise for my son who now plays in the Majors (Little League) and he loves it.
